I have a relaxed week with no plans, trissie. I also have an apartment that has things that need to be tidied or decluttered literally everywhere I look, with the excecption of one kitchen counter that I freed up yesterday. So, I will, of course, fill that free spot with a couple of slow cookers. I have a duck thawed out for Germane, and I'll do a tomato/seafood thing for me. Other than that, literally anywhere my eye lands is a potential activity for me. Oh, and I do need to deposit my OAS cheque.
I'm glad that you are able to get some rest in your day, and hope that it helped to counteract the effects of the change in air pressure.

The mallards in your area appreciate your restraint, L.Ann. I'm pretty sure that they prefer to be admired from a distance.

Monday
Put away contents of one grocery bag
Prepared a box of recycling to bring to basement
Cleaned up after dog
Put away dry laundry
Put away drying rack–hurray! Reclaimed real estate.
Gave dog heart pill
Cleaned up after dog

LOL, I did that with my decluttering goals, trissie. ChatGPT was very enthusiastic about the track that I was on. Some time later, I realized that it was just agreeing with me, as it does.
There is no shortage of activities to choose from, I just have to keep choosing them.

A little flexibility is no bad thing, L.Ann. :)

Monday
Put away contents of one grocery bag
Prepared a box of recycling to bring to basement
Cleaned up after dog
Put away dry laundry
Put away drying rack–hurray! Reclaimed real estate.
Gave dog heart pill
Cleaned up after dog
FACE: Paid bills, checked that account will cover rent
Checked email: Building is repairing the faulty alarm
Fed Germane
Bagged up kitchen garbage and brought it to the chute
Pulled out the slow cookers
Covered the dw
Brought out the duck. It looks bigger than I remembered.
Measured it against the big slow cooker: the duck doesn’t fit. I don’t have a roasting pan that will fit it, only an outdoor roasting pan in the basement.
Got the duck out of its wrapping, took out the neck and rinsed it all.
The now flexible duck fit in the big slow cooker. ;) Barely. No room for vegetables
Wrapped the neck in cheesecloth and put it in the small slow cooker
Put salmon in the toaster oven for Germane
Stopped for breakfast: my grains mix and vegetables with a little bit of fancy Costco cheese

I guess that's what I like about the AI - it does the choosing for me and so I only have to do the doing :-)

One of my superpowers is being weirdly lucky with hydro power. There is an outage all around me but my building is fine. It used to be that way when I had my house, too.

I usually do the opposite of what I announce, trissie, so I'm probably better off without a list. :)

Hello everyone!

Trissie, our current car is a Nissan Note. Not sure what the next car will be. My priorities are: 1) reliability and easy to get parts, 2) economical 3) easy to park 4) has A/C. I leave DH to deal with things like torque!

Enjoy your quieter week, Helia!

Dogged, Daffy sounded quite a character!🦆

Dino tales sounds fun, L.Ann- did Little Bit enjoy it?

Progress is being made with the car -DH rang PS about a quote - apparently the chap that does them was out delivering today, so hopefully we'll hear tomorrow..DH has also contacted a few other garages for comparison,.and I found one he'll try tomorrow. I'm getting DH to make the calls because a)I seem to deal with most other things,. and b) the "pink tax".

I've had a good session in my garden, and also cleaned out the garage gutter. The bedrooms amd bathroom are clean and Matilda is now on my lap.
