Twins, I think with the extreme heat you're having, it's sensible not to exert yourself too much. Heat exhaustion is a real thing, and you really.dont want that! Are there perhaps some.gentle stretches or similar you could do at home even for a few minutes so you could feel you had accomplished "something* but wouldn't need too much exertion? ( I'm thinking of the leg, back and ankle exercises that can be done while lying on the bed!)

Twins - I completely understand that our focus shifts to different things during various phases of life. Making self-care a top priority isn’t always possible. However, putting ourselves first before turning our focus to do other things can have huge paybacks in physical, mental and emotional health and fitness. We should each seek to love ourselves as best as we can in all seasons of life. We are worth the effort. ((((Hugs))))

Hi Ladies !
So thankful for this monthly thread, again !
I don't post often but I need the accountability. Also I'm grateful for the positive motivation and inspiration.
Wishin you all the best on your goals / your intentions for July.

I'm sticking with my five habits, tracking them on paper at night and reporting here when I have the time. I try to do as good as I can, there will be other heatwaves, other days I'm exhausted, other disruptions (3 days of electrician working on our wiring) but I'll keep showing up to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
My habits are about mobility and general fitness (cardio / weights), and I see day after day that doing small moves during my payroll day is good for my mental health as well, I don't feel so "robbed" of this time away from home when I use some of it for my won health, with tiny moves, drinking green tea, sometimes taking a break to breathe...

My 5 daily habits, tracked on an index card near my bed :
MR - basic morning routine - Move C/W - either Cardio or Weights, daily - MicroMove - tiny times of movement at payroll or during the day - Time for me - to read, maybe write, maybe think, maybe journal - K for Kegels - pelvic floor exercises, 1 mn minimum, at bedtime usually.
Bonus habit : sweep unter kitchen table at night, so kids get used to a clean kitchen floor when they get downstairs for breakfast.

As of July 4th :
MR . . . . . .: 3 out of 4. ▓▓▓░
Move C/W .: 2 out of 4. ▓▓░░
MicroMove . : 2 out of 4.▓▓░░
Time4me . : 2 out of 4 . ▓▓░░
K . . . . . . . : 2 out of 4.▓▓░░
Kitchen floor: 2 out of 4 ▓▓░░
