Re: Thorough Thursday
Hello, all! I think "thorough" is a high bar given how I've been doing the past while. I will settle for "sticking mostly to my cards." Got a crockpot going yesterday and did some embroidery -- I thought the big, satin stitch flowers would be difficult, and the lazy daisies would be done in a heartbeat. Wrong. I tried twice to do the lazy daisies on the first piece and had to cut the threads out both times. I think I'm going to have to practice on another piece of material. But the only other productive thing I did was to drive DC to play practice and back (which I knew about well in advance).
Today, I've at least washed my breakfast dishes and a few others. I need to take DC to driving lessons in a little bit. I am debating making a few extra stops after picking them up. There are some shops in that area that we don't have close by -- a candy store, a Korean grocery, and an honest-to-goodness old-fashioned donut shop. I might skip the donut shop; we just went after last lesson -- but the donuts and muffins were really good.
I made a mistake the other day in suggesting DH should wait on the caprese sandwiches I had amongst the dinner plans. The croissants have gone fuzzy in the interim. I will have to make a trip to the regular grocery and pick up some more croissants as well as the bread I will need to make a "cob loaf." This is the Australian version of spinach dip in a bread bowl, except that they don't use pumpernickel; they use onion soup mix rather than vegetable soup mix, and they use cheese -- and sometimes bake it to get the cheese melty. Girls' night this month is "Christmas in July," and we were encouraged to make things they might have for Christmas in warmer climes/the southern hemisphere.
It's just about time to take DC, so I will go now. Have a great day, everyone!

WTG, bw2! Good going!
HOA:
-need to prod the incoming prez (who has been the VP) to get moving with other board responsibilities such as replacing two board members
-need to pay pool company and write a check for the "pool boy" the teen who cleans up three times a week and takes out trash. (I have to print the time sheets he sends, and try to decipher his handwriting to see what weeks are included. Sometimes he skips a week, or sends one twice.)
Cemetery
-give tree company the go ahead on the trees
-call the maintenance people to let them know about trees, also they were to give us quote for fertilizing the trees that are left Tomorrow, need to ask them to replace sprinkler box, but need to check electricity AGAIN
-need to pick up bills at temple office and update spreadsheet for cemetery $$ for last three months
-contact insurance re: cemetery damage Getting info this afternoon re contact person and coverages at temple this afternoon
Now for the email re: HOA, new prez, new board members, etc. I suspect I'm going to be a thorn in this guy's side...

Re: Thorough Thursday
I went and did some banking. Then I went to a dollar store and, oh gee, would you look at that... my favourite bookstore was in the same parking lot! I went an for a browse and came out with the last copy they had of "Tiger, Tiger" and I had to hunt for it because I didn't know where the golf books were. My goodness they had a lot of books about golf! I also went to a shoe store that carries the same shoe as I have been wearing for close to 6 years. The ones I have are still very comfortable, but the sole is getting too smooth.
It's very humid here today with a storm expected. The sky to the east is getting darker and there isn't any wind at all.
Dh waited until after his PSW came and went before he headed out to get some fruit. I also asked him to grab at least 6 bags of buns for the freezer.

Re: Thorough Thursday
DD called will stop by this afternoon to return my furniture dollys.
I have put the 3 loads of branches elsewhere 2 in the utility trailer.
One I broke up even more and fit in one of the empty cans.
Fetched the mail.
Looked over the power bill.
I have done some reading & note taking.
Logged my progress.
Next up is my art & creativity planner log.
And the bujo needs entries for today made out.
Found my sticky so I'll use that.
Next up do ten min. on #2 desk.
Then sew a seam.
Grats:
No power outage for me yea!
A power pole was struck and some have to deal with that as it was sheered off that takes time to
replace.
There was a diff outrage across the river in Idaho from a small fire.
Got stuff done despite being in slow mo today.
Still progress is still progress yea for that.
