July2026 - Declutter and Organization

Post by Harriet »

Here we are at the half-way point of 2026. 31 days of potential stretch ahead of us, with opportunity to make a lovely home even more your oasis. If the heat is pretty impressive where you are, does it offer you an opportunity to be indoors doing some of the PROJECTS that you've planned?

How are you measuring your success nowadays?
By the distance you travel around rooms in your declutter quest?
By checkmarks or other written progress charting?
By number of bags or boxes?
By contributions to Goodwill, book drives, other donations?
By organizing or using attractive or simpler-looking storage?

This summer I"m doing a new card the Daily Declutter!
Even one item is a win and 31 items makes a difference
especially if its in one area or a specific zone!

Started in on the stack & dash room aka butterfly room.
My "office" or writing room.
Surfaces work space table I use as a desk, 3 dressers, and another desk all stacked with journals
papers, planners etc. so I've been doing rounds in there.
Got the work station table usable Wed. & yesterday again had to work on it some more.
Worked on the 2nd desk in 1/3rds and today I see that I've made signigicient progress on that!
It took an hour could not sleep so got up while it was still dark made coffee and started in on it.
Now I have it tolerable yea!
Sorted writing stuff from other planner items helped.
Full m.p. notebooks are ready to go to the basement.
Bujo and journals that were full out of there helped.
I put away books I'd read and gotten notes out of too from the first part of the year Q1& Q2.
Also helpful!
Found refill pages for the planner I'm using, and the other one that's my bujo yea!
I'm reviewing my planner stack with renewed hope again now.
