Re: Keep It Slow, Simple & Easy Sunday
I've had my lunch.
Got my steps in for the day.
Set the sprinkler to use later in the evening.
Dishes are waiting till sun down at least.
Watched on episode and a few min. of a movie,
then a diff. one both were not really to my taste.
Ddoggo is resting.
Do not need the a/c here today so I just switched it off.
I need to finish up on my journal stack.
Worked on the creativity / sewing ideas.
Next weekend is a writing retreat weekend or sewing what ever I decide on.
I just need to pick a project.
It does feel good to have a room put back together again now.
That does help me to focus.
I had dinner and did up the dishes.
Rig is charged up now yea!
Watched my two fav. shows.

Re: Keep It Slow, Simple & Easy Sunday
Heat with high humidity is a 10000% more uncomfortable than high temperatures with low humidity. I love that we got rain this morning but that means we have high humidity this afternoon. >>>insert dramatic pose with hand to forehead in woe-is-me mode<<<<
I walked and talked with neighbor this afternoon and we both worked up a good sweat. I'm reminding myself that sweating is a healthy way to detox.....so they say.
DS17 and Finacee16 are having a meal with her dad this evening. She is going to ask her Dad if she can move in with him. He lives in a one bedroom small apartment and works long hours so she would be sleeping on the floor on an air mattress and alone most of the time. Fiancee16 hasn't told her Mom yet, so I don't know how this is going to play out. Her mom, stepdad and all of her 7 siblings have been on vacation for the past 10 days leaving her here. Her mom is the opposite of a helicopter type mom. If Fiancee16 moves in with her dad that will put her 30 miles away instead of 2 miles. Currently DS17 drives 8 miles a day (2 to pick her up, 2 to return here.....hours later...., 2 to take her home, 2 miles to return home) If she moves in with her Dad it would mean driving 120 miles a day. None of the options are good ones. Will she choose abuse, neglect or ??
Sometimes people have difficult circumstances and limited choices.
I'm in summer mode with food prep. I am choosing to pay more and have someone else (that I know and trust) cook for us. I don't even know if it is expensive but it feels worth it to me. $150 for a 8lb brisket and $60 for a 3.5 lbs pork belly that are seasoned & smoked to perfection. Add in a dozen Braums cheeseburgers, a tub of potato salad and half sheet pan of mac & cheese. This means I'm not cooking for a day or two! YO-YO is implemented (you're on your own)
