That is very helpful ladyM. I think he can do those kinds of transactions. At school he goes out and buys food and the like. He was doing really well at school and sports trips were a huge help. He loved those. Greetings are hard. He really did dislike that part of church and I think that's part of why I can't get him to go anymore. I hope he's going to continue sports. He also went from quite behind in math and English. To a very academic student. Somewhere in career stuff he centered himself towards engineering of some sort. Oh now I need good marks and I have to take all the math I can and he was doing so well. Except I don't know if he realized that was going to take more work for him to understand it all and now he gets 80 some percent and anything under 90 is a fail. In his books.

Part of it too is both dh and I are very quiet in the first place. We don't have people over Except family occasionally with very rare exceptions. So it's not going to come naturally for him at all. Or for us encouraging him that way.

Now that I've written a novel too.. this headache won't let go today. I've taken different meds and not helping. I'm not sure I want to take more.

bw2, you are so industrious today!

I did some stamping and just hanging out upstairs. Dh went to torah study this a.m., and went to see Spiderman with ds this afternoon.

I'm showered and dressed for this event. I know I won't know many people at all, and my facial recognition and memory for names isn't great. Anyway, we're going soon. Why does this have me freaked out so?

Our ds was pretty anti-social in high school. He grew his hair long over his eyes in front and it was difficult to make eye contact at times. Looking back, sometimes I wonder about my own neurodivergent qualities. I had an obsession with rock collecting, I was extremely shy and had trouble with the kind of transactions you're describing LadyM. Going through the line at the skate rink and paying for food. And as a college student, I only rarely went to the student center. I was too shy.

I decided to get take out food for our evening meal from a food truck. When i left home we had 4 teenagers here, so I bought home 6 meals. When I arrived home we had 2 more teenagers here so there wasn't enough meals to give everyone. . Oops Too bad so sad. It is a 14 mile drive (one way) back to get more food and the owner usually sells out within an hour of opening so returning for more food would be futile. The teens can share or fix something else themselves. The is an abundance of food options available.

Trying to keep up with blessed and Nancy today, , I've cleaned the little bathroom except I'd like to mop. And I've mopped the hallway with the wood floor cleaner. Plugging away in the kitchen.

HRH ordered food in - he is trying to use up that refunded amount on the silly gift card. (What a disappointment to have them offer only this method. I mean, is it our money or not?) He's found so many ways he can't use the card but usually groceries are a yes. Honestly, I imagine he's not used the funds quite as wisely or slowly as he would have otherwise, but the value has been there. And there's value in getting the use of the card finished and knowing we are not losing the funds. It has been frustrating for him - concerning to find out only through someone else's lawsuit that he was overcharged in the first place, then having to conform to receive reimbursement only through goods, not funds, and only certain goods. I'll be glad when it's complete.

Have done some online shopping for over-the-door hanging storage for bathroom closet and mud room.

Pantry - that's on my mind, too, blessed.

How lucky for this group this evening that they will get to see Twins'.

CI fam. is save Dgd is 3 hrs. north and a big fire there they are level 2 get ready but the fire is going away from them thankful to hear that via text.
DD checked in and had a good day with work. A couple of smaller branches blew out of one tree next door and landed across the street. A small think walking stick size smaller around that my wrist landed safely on the drive way I'll be waiting to get it when it's calmer out. Glad I still have power.

After picking on one of the three lawn chairs that blew over they do not weigh much, & closing the doors to the plant cage.
I now have on some claiming classical music on.

Smoke is easing up too thankful for that as well.
Had a hb patty & need to rinse off my plate from dinner.

Worked on my weekly CI list on my journal.
DD called I limited it to 30 min. did not want to run down my phone battery.

A freak out moments after a week's vacation three french fries left in dgd's car attracted ants so she called her mom
who went to the store and got her something io put on cardboard that attracted ants so she could drive in peace again.
That would be freak out moments for sure for me too!

I didn't realize I had been absent the last couple days -- and I do not have time to write my usual "essay" tonight.

Lauralind, my dgs14 has times like you said -- he wanted to come to my house today around noon, and he stayed in "his" room until after 5:00, playing on his computer. He sometimes closes his computer if I walk in, but if I press the issue -- what are you looking at? -- it is always some sort of geography game or political simulation. He is an excellent student and pretty much carried his Scholars' Bowl team the last two years, plays football (although I do not expect him to ever be a first-string player) and he has no problem at all talking to waitresses or anyone else, for the most part.
OTOH -- he has no socialization outside of school and sports. He has been invited to one neighbor's house a few times, but he never returns invitations -- this may be because his mom (and myself) are kinda anti-social ourselves. Also, I suspect part of the reason his mom doesn't return invitations is that their house is always a wreck. She works 40 hours a week, sometimes more, and Saturday is her day of rest and she is quick to proclaim she is doing NOTHING then.
DGD10 is more social than him, but same issue with playdates, and she has just hit puberty. She was already moody and emotional, so you can imagine how that is going.

Nancy -- EEEK -- ants!!! My garbage can turned over last week (and the garbage truck did not pick it up) and it attracted fire ants, and when I set it upright, they got on me and my right hand is STILL itching!!!
I certainly hope they will pick it up this week!
