My plans fizzled today.
Not surprised sort of thought some how it may not go as planned.
Had been warned by DD ahead of time too.
But the weather was nice when we originally planned something now not so much.

So glad I did the outside things when the sun was out that made it more fun.
Had lunch a cheese sandwich & fresh toms.

I emptied the wagon a tote and wheelbarrow from when it rained
we got more than I thought yea! It will help even more on those bulbs.

I do always look for tulip bulbs last of aug. and early Sept. before they get sold out.
On batch of tulips was not where I thought they were.
So I filled in the holes and marked the one they were to go in ~
just in case I find some purple colored ones next time I"m
at the store.

Twins… I always have reactions to vaccinations which is why I never get a flu shot. Same with Covid. Took it be near the kids and of course I had a reaction

LadyM.. laughing at your soap bottle mystery. Happen here all the time around here… especially in the kitchen. Sweetie tends to throw things in the garbage. Lost the micro wave cover for dishes and never found it. And the other night he tossed a good plastic container in the garbage and took the trash out to the garbage can

Thankfully I was able to retrieve it, but I did have to dig through the garbage.

Mystery, I do remember being sorry to hear about your dh's hand. Didn't realize it would take this long to heal - so glad it has! HRH has a big-toe-toenail that took an awful blow years ago - maybe at work? From then on, after healing, it grows faster than any other nail, so counterintuitive.

Saturday is about finishes for the week, like small things to finish up the specific decluttering I'm doing in the office and the cleaning in bathrooms.

Also tweaking past Focus week areas from earlier in this round that still needed attention. The big gap there is the bedroom - it has much room for improvement. Porches look good, but nowadays as I sweep at the front, I turn around and little pin-oak leaves have fallen behind me, lol.

Dgd's book arrived, but I think they are traveling this weekend.

Keeping up with sprout care, and the propagated babies have had an outdoor play date again for sun.

Yes, most of these people were not even contacted about this. Now the emails have evolved to suggesting we take down all the trees, lol.

Watched a vid. on setting on TV so I have adjusted sound and picils to 1080 what I ever that is.
Both were an improvement. The sound is the one that helps to hear voices over back ground in movies etc.

Had my dinner I feel better now.
I rolled up the hoses so I can mow if I feel I need to move it move move it!

Today, I have felt vaguely uneasy, and I don't really know why. My stomach was finally feeling much better, and I ate about half a hamburger tonight, and a few french fries, and * whew * spent quite a while in the bathroom afterwards.

I set out two maple trees in my front yard last year... hmmm... Surely they will not get large enough to cause problems until they become someone else's problem. sigh. A tree man TOLD me not to get maples, actually, but I just love the bright scarlet ones sooo much. My great-aunt had one when dh and I first married. She lived just down the block from us, and when it turned in the fall, I thought it was the most beautiful tree I had ever seen.
We had very old hickory trees in the same spot when we built this house, and there are some uneven cracks in my sidewalk, but I don't think the roots of the hickory trees damaged the foundation of the house. People do not usually use the front door anyway, so the sidewalk is not much of a concern.

Well -- looks like all our teams won today, right? It was CLOSE for Auburn, and I would have preferred to see Clemson win (against LSU), but all in all, I can't complain about the outcome of today's games.

Y'all -- do I owe my cousins a chance at next week's tickets before I put them on seat geek? The going price right now would be about twice what the face value is, and I don't want to charge my cousins more than face value. BUT... my cousins have already requested two of the highest price game we have, and I KNOW I could do a LOT better than face value on that one. That is the only one they have requested. I think I might go ahead and put them online, and if they ask before they are sold, I will let them buy them. I don't know. I might feel guilty if I don't at least give them a chance at them. These tickets are a lot of trouble. And I've got to deal with them probably 7-9 more years. SMH. I might send them a message and tell them to speak up if there is a week they are interested in, before I list them online.

Got the plumber paid... cash... and no receipt. I just thought about that. I do have the check noted in my register where I got the cash to pay him. I do not foresee a problem with this, but I do feel a little stupid. He would probably be insulted if I had asked for a receipt. And I did count the money in front of him. And I have text messages telling him I was coming to his house tonight to pay him. This is a former student, the young man who bought the land from my mother a year or so ago, and who has acted like he thought my mother hung the moon ever since.

Fun and Games -- Christmas Planning... EEEK! This seems sorta an oxymoron. I cannot think about Christmas for another month at least. I am hoping Christmas shopping will help me add to my cash back credit card, however. Right now, I have my category for 6% back set on online shopping, so it should add up pretty well. That includes my groceries from Wmart, I believe, and I will do a lot of Christmas shopping online. I just always wait until the first of November, after ds' birthday October 20. I still have dgd's birthday in November, but I know I have to get started before then. Her birthday is always Thanksgiving week.

It's after midnight and I need to take a shower. DGS went to bed an hour or so ago, and he will want to shower in my bathroom in the morning, so I don't need to be using up all his time.
DGD is coming back to spend Sunday night, and then when dgs gets out of football practice Monday morning, we will all go to the annual Labor Day gathering -- it is loosely a family reunion, but we are the only ones from dh's family that go anymore and I don't know most of the people we will see. There will be music (and ds and some friends will play), it will be hot, and the only real benefit of it all is the chicken stew they make and sell there. I told ds tonight, I'm kinda afraid to eat on-site, the way I've been feeling lately -- the bathroom situation leaves something to be desired -- but I will buy a gallon of stew to freeze in single portion ziploc bags and eat later.

d lady I like your process of letting go of stuff! I seem to get a bit confused when I am looking at too much stuff. dd youngers stuff overwhelms me - I need to let go of a lot of her stuff in our house bc there is too much stuff. I feel like I need to go through things with her.

I love maples - I don't like the scrub ones as they are very messy and grow 40 -50 tall and really wide -
I love the orange color our neighbors have - green in summer, orange, red or bright yellow in fall. my neighbor also has a scarlet one -
