Rats - lost a post when I absentmindedly clicked on refresh instead of posting. Not so dcleaning lady washed our sheets with the cover for the loveseat in our bedroom - for most people that wouldn't be a problem, but dMacs considers the loveseat as his hangout, and the cover needs to be washed separately with bleach! Will probably rewash both sheets and the loveseat cover.

Also talked to dd and I will drive to K-town tomorrow night to get her, unless dh is disappointed he isn't going himself on Friday afternoon. :) Based on her mood tonight, I'm not looking forward to having her home for a month or so.

This round:
-upload receipt for dermatologist last week to get reimbursement
-renew CPA license online
-put app for the meeting next week on my iPhone and iPad

I just realized a major mistake at work. I am skipping a meeting to get it fixed tomorrow. I didn't really want to go to the meeting, but I don't want to get fired or laid off either. This is so not good. I hope I am just overworried. I have not done very well in my job, it is outside my area of expertise. I'm feeling sick to my stomach, but it is stress.

(Elizabeth) good success with fixing all that.

I'm supposed to be typing proposals. I'm almost too tired to do it. Lots of thinking.

Got some of the vacuuming done, got some dusting done, dinner's done. Some stuff stashed away so I can get decorations out. S-L-O-W progress....

Well the shots are not working and DH will have surgery on the 30th. Not only is his first finger of the left hand involved but the middle finger is starting to catch, too. So they will do a two-fer and he will get both fixed at once. Only hard thing is to keep his hand dry for 2 weeks.

Other than that we got almost everything on our list. Wally world did not have Diet caffeine free Dr. P - but I have some left and I can drink tea if I have to.

We used up one of our gift cards from last Christmas and had lunch at Olive Garden. It was very yummy!!

Tomorrow is a full day - starting with DH going to breakfast with the boys at 7 am. I have Tai Chi at 9 and I want to finish the cacti bed tomorrow.

Think I will go put the clean dishes away and get a load of laundry ready for tomorrow.

Dh has a friend over. I haven't seen him in ages (dh usually goes to his house) so I visited for the first hour.

Now I'm printing off the remaining newsletters. I only need 10 so that means I only have 10 more to do. I should finish those tonight.

After that is the cards. There are about 35 of those, with most including an invitation to the Dec. 26th open house. I'll mail the ones I have addresses for in order to save myself time. We used to drive around our old neighbourhood in the city plus walk around the village delivering them, but that took forever and at this time of year, spending $12 to buy two hours of time seems like a bargain.

I sorted through last year's cards and separated out the ones that are blank behind the picture and will come up with some crafts for the boys to do on Sunday. I'm thinking they can write me a Christmas story book, using the pictures off cards to illustrate it. They are very creative boys so this should work. Another option is to have them make ornaments from them.

Their mom put the tree up two nights ago while they were sleeping and they were excited because it meant that Christmas will be soon! She found a mess of tiny triangles and diamonds of coloured paper on the floor around the tree and was ready to yell when she realized they had been making snowflakes to add to the tree's decorations. I told you they were creative kids.

I'm toying with the idea of not decorating the family tree until the 24th. Then we could all do it together. Of course, the kids might not care to be part of it. At the moment, I'm not interested in putting up any trees but I'll put up our foyer tree this week and do other decorating as well.

Dh's friend commented on how decorated my house is when he walked in. Actually, it is just lights in one window, the ribbons I hang my cards from (but no cards on those yet) and a couple of candles, plus a basket of Christmas books by my reading chair. But I guess that, plus the dining room table covered in assorted cards made the house look Christmasy.

Thanks Y'all. I can hear you cheering for me from here :D

It's cold for Norma and me. This morning it was 38*. Don't know how warm it got this afternoon as I was stuck in the school house.

Extra busy week at work as it is the end of the quarter for us. I'm doing very little for Xmas this year and glad of it. Am going home to NJ with Sweetie and see no sense in pulling out lots and lots of Xmas stuff. Kind of nice not being wrapped up in all the commotion. Besides, there's always next year, right?

Norma and our Dh's had a great time Sat. night. Those guys can really talk. Makes me laugh cause I think Sweetie saves up all his conversations until Norma's dh comes to visit. I was so glad to see Norma....I've been waiting for 6 months. We always have such a good time together. Hi Norma :D

Off to make some d-caf coffee. I need something to warm me up. Nitters to y'all

Our moon appears to be very bright and it's about 3/4 full...but it's behind a bunch of clouds with a thin blue haze all around it. What does it look up your way?

MT, sorry your DH has to have his hand worked on.

My paperwork is all done in the office. 11 pages. I found a new website to print out forms, that's good. Everybody's always changing things...just when I get used to one way of doing things.
