Newsletters are done!

That's the second year in a row that we've bashed those and the business cards out so quickly. The next batch will go by way quicker since I'm just signing names.

No moon in sight here, it is very overcast.

See you all in the morning!

Indi, I can't see the moon as it is raining hard here. So thankful it is supposed to be a clear, sunny day tomorrow when I have to drive to dsil. What am I missing? :)

Cowinkie, last year we only put up our tree & a handful of decorations. I just wasn't up for it after all the chaos/packing/unpacking due to the kitchen remodel. This year I looked forward to decorating & really enjoyed it. Wonder if Lilac is doing any decorating this year what with packing & moving to her new home this month.

Harmony, you had asked about the grates I cleaned with ammonia -- they are the ones on top of the stove that you place pots on. But as OKay mentioned, you can do the racks on the inside of the oven the same way, you just need a large garbage bag that you can tie shut. (I haven't put anything on the good-as-new, shiny grate all day  . Don't want anything to boil over on it the first day it's clean  )

Sorry your dh needs to have surgery on his hand, MT. I've been reading your blog & it is so nice to read about your new home & how you are settling in & decorating.

((Lynlee))

Hope the mistake is an easy fix tomorrow, Elizabeth.

Spent several hours in the kitchen tonight baking cookies, making casserole for dinner with the kids tomorrow, making soup & freezing almost a dozen containers. It always feels good to have chicken soup in the freezer for the winter --never know when a cold or flu bug will strike. Got suddenly very tired halfway through cookie baking but I didn't want to wake up to a dirty kitchen so cleaned everything up. Argued with myself the whole time to just leave the mess & go sit & put my feet up :P . Large stockpot is soaking in hot, sudsy water & dishwasher is running now.

Can't remember what else I was going to say & topic review won't go back any farther ;) . As always I talk to you all in my head as I read  .

Sweet dreams, everyone. :)

:D :D :D Congratulations, Cowinkie!!! That is FANTASTIC!!! :D :D :D

Y'all will just have to forgive me for letting Cowinkie be the only person I speak to personally tonight. Boy, I am completely wiped out.
BUT *** DRUM ROLL ***
ALL CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ARE COMPLETE. :D :D :D
Hallelujah!!!
The tree is up & decorated, the Merry Christmas blocks that go on the window sill are found -- meaning the Santas and snowmen were allowed some breathing room. Don't even ask what one has to do with the other. It was some strange decorating motif known only to Mr. Martha Stewart. I'm just glad those poor little snowmen have some space around them now, LOL.
This morning I sent dh an email apologizing for being such a grouch and complaining rather than saying thank you last night... and that seemed to help matters a lot this afternoon.
Then I spent about 4.5 or 5 hours on that darn tree. I am NEVER satisfied with the lights... and we just about have too many ornaments now, but I feel compelled to buy something to commemorate each year. I cannot imagine putting up two trees, however. One just about does me in.

We mailed the cards last night, so all that is left to do is finish shopping, wrap presents, bake cookies, and help dmom with whatever she needs.

OTOH... no papers have been graded tonight, and it does NOT look like we will have a delayed start tomorrow.
Oh well. I have some very good teacher's aides first thing in the morning. Maybe they can help me get papers caught up.

Good night to all. Sleep well.
Tomorrow is another day.
