Nancy: when we lived in England the tv shows had only commercial break for about 4 - 5 minutes in the middle of the half hour and about 5 - 7 minutes at the half hour (end of one show, newsbreak, commercial, opening of next show.) Between the longer stretches of time and the fact that our apartment was smaller than my house, I was amazed at how much I could do during commercials. (One time, I prepped the floor in the middle of show and hand scrubbed it between shows.)

Now with the pvr built into my media center computer in the kitchen, I work in the kitchen during a show and then run to other parts of the house (i.e. loading or unloading the washer) during commercials. If I miss the return from commercials, I can just run the show back so I don't worry if I get distracted in the other room.

Not that I'm doing any work tonight. I went to start the laundry and then decided to wait until tomorrow since the underwear I'm wearing now can go into that load too.

So I've done nothing since my last post except open a Christmas card and read that newsletter.

Twins, I hope your tooth remains quiet for the rest of the weekend.

Had a nice start to the day. Then DH called me and I had to go out and help him the rest of the day. We called a helper to come work too. I've posted in J&C about all that is going on.

Dinner was quick left-overs and I got everything done and settled around here. I'm feeling less than happy tonight, and I've got to admit I wasn't whistling while I was working today. Working very hard on my attitude right now, trying to stay positive.

Dishes all done and soup stored for travel. Have totes sitting by for loading in the morning. Still have to put stuff from fridge into MH.

Getting really excited about traveling again. Even if it is just two hours away. We will see lots of friends we haven't seen in a long time.

Time to go cut my hair and then fold one last load of clothes.

Niters.

I used to make it a game when the kids were younger to see how many chores they could do in the commercials that worked like a charm.

We are back from town I'm surprised how much I look forward to getting out of the house even if it is for the 99 c. special of a bean burrito with hubby before groc. shopping. Glad to have that done and the car is unloaded and food is put away now I'm sipping some coffee.

What holiday is Mon. M.L. King day or what? Yep I just looked it up.
