It was snowing hard when ds and I picked up dh. Dh asked what we were planning to do and I said I was flexible. Ds said he was too. I looked at the snow and how exhausted dh looked and said that we should go home. So ds went back on his own. I'm sorry I had to abandon him but dh needed to go home.

I made up dinner while we chatted (he was too tired to think), we practiced tomorrow's anthem a few times, I helped him unpack, and now he's tucked into bed.

I'll go to bed in a couple of hours.

Before leaving for the airport, I was trying to find a program that will record off the internet directly from my sound card. I have such a program on my old computer but the same program is now a pay version so that doesn't help me. I'm still looking but in the process, one program completely took over Firefox, adding a dozen add-ons I don't want and a new tool bar. For instance, the two programs were so tied together, every time I closed the recording program, Firefox shut down too! It took several restarts of the Firefox after removing the program from my computer before Firefox went back to normal.

So I still don't have a recording program but I've got part of my computer back.

I finally accomplished something today. My printer wouldn't work via WIFI so I found an old cord and linked it to my laptop via the cord and FINALLY got something to print.

Looks like we are going to close on the lot on Thursday but people called today to see if they could move in early. I told them they could move in on Monday if we could stay over next weekend. I will have a lot of "stuff" to do on Thursday - closing and setting up new bank account signature cards for the Home Owners. Then I will need some time to train new Sec/Treas. (Altho - no one trained me  )

Dee: I think I would call local TV Action line, BBB and President of MedCo and they would all know my name. I know you were frustrated - but hanging up doesn't help. ASK FOR SUPERVISOR's SUPERVISOR. I got a $10 rebate from Directv Thursday by just ASKING for Supervisor.

I think I've figured out why my computer can't record off the sound card. I don't think this sound card has that option. I was watching a video on how to record using internal software, and while I have the software, none of the recording options were there, just the built in mike.

The same lack of options came up with the free software. I did a test record and the sound was awful when I was recording off the mike. If it took a good recording and made it bad, I figure poor sound will be unusable. I don't know what the answer is for this - I can't take the time to listen to the service when it is webcast since that will fall during getting ready for dinner time. Dh thinks I'm nuts and I'm beginning to wonder. I'm thinking I'll have to just attend the Cowboy Church while I'm away. I'll try tuning into my friend but I don't think this is going to work.

K in C I enjoyed those pics. especially the wooden rain deer! K in C so do they have p/c for you to use on ship like at motels? Maybe you could get a service on U tube that way. Dson said Itunes was what I needed for some of my programs, maybe your son has some ideas for you!

I was able to finish reading lib. book and returned it on the way to dgson's bb game.
After that we did store run for baby aspirin I forgot yesterday glad to get through there quickly as they were rather busy.
I started a load of dishes while we were gone.
For dinner were having squash and sausage cheese dogs.
I did 3 mi. on ex. bike h. did 2 mi. this morning.
It was a grey day out today here.

I put the books and stuffed bunny in the living room for dgd to discover bunny, bunny book and one a Bible theme I"m pleased with those finds!

Nancy they do have computers and they are just down the hall from my cabin. But there is a limit of 30 minutes per person. Still, it is worth thinking about (if no-one is waiting in the room, I could stay on longer.) The desk top computers they have would have internal stereo output to sound recording and I have learned where the built-in Windows sound recorder is in the software so I wouldn't have to add any software to their computer.

Dh is awake again. He slept well for almost 2 hours and then work in agony - every muscle aches. I suggested a shower but he's just walking around trying to relax that way.

I was able to show him the problem and he agrees with my assessment that this computer can't do this.

I'll do up the dishes now so I can go to bed by 10.

I have a quandary!! Yesterday morning, I was chatting with DH about this and that, and the subject of TSO came up (oh, I remember! DS had one of their songs playing on YouTube). I mentioned that I'd really love to see them in concert, and decided to check their website to see if their 2012 tour schedule was up yet. Not only is it up, but they're coming here in early April!!! :D :o :D I went to the website of the venue where they'll be playing to see what tickets might be available. Imagine my shock when I found out the cheapest tickets available are $154 each!!!!!!!!!!! And that doesn't even include the 'service fee' that will be added at checkout! I know K in C has been to their concerts out east, but were the tickets in that price range? Or are they just charging us more because we live in the wild western boonies? I'm really torn as to whether or not to spend the money. I can get tickets to a professional hockey game for $11 and up...or tickets to a Simple Plan concert for $63 and up...Van Halen tickets for $68 and up...even the Neil Diamond concert tickets start at $98 (mind you, those also go up to $795!! )

Now I think I'll go spend some time with my kittens....six of them are off to the pet store to be put up for adoption tomorrow. I'll miss them, but I need a bit of a break to get some housework caught up!

Beautiful pictures, Kathryn. I love the sunrise! (Olive is cute, too!)

I got about half finished w/vacuuming living area of the house -- kitchen/den/dining rooms, bath & computer room -- and then dh & ds came in to watch ballgame, so that was the end of that.

Tonight dh & I went to see The Iron Lady -- the movie about Margaret Thatcher. It was very good... but very sad, too, I thought. She is a quite an inspiring woman, though. I'm glad we saw it.

Clean sheets on bed. I think I should try them out. ;)

DS assures me that no harm was done re: my remarks to ddil... and LESS harm would have been done if I had just forgotten about it and not called her to continue apologizing last night... (apparently that gets on her nerves, just as it does his)... but that all is well, forget about it, she is NOT going Thurs. b/c "we're going back Saturday and we wouldn't have a good time at all if she was exhausted from working all day Friday."
So -- I'm having my doubts about how much fun she's going to have anyway, but my lips are sealed.
Tomorrow is another day.
