Hello everybody. I can hardly believe how late it is already. I've been busy.
Desk chores finally caught up except to neaten up the piles, do filing, etc., but all bills paid, payroll done for last week and the month for us, made trip to bank to deposit check. 2 accounts reconciled. Desk doesn't look very nice yet, but I know all the important stuff is caught up.
Whites hung outside. Perm. Press laundry - big load this time - hanging up; sheets almost ready to hang, last set. Making progress slowly on the house. Ready to run the dishwasher next.
Lots of church work done. Updated our ministry spreadsheet and answered a few emails and called around a few prayer requests.
Elizabeth, sounds like you had a fun weekend!
Harriet, sorry you've started out your day sleep deprived. So sad about the student dying so young.
OKay, good luck getting your taxes together. I just found our I RS deposit in the one bank statement, yay!
Hello to everybody else...I am running out of time here, DH needs the computer.

Re: Motivational Monday
Yep Monday's are always motivating.
From yesterday...
Harriet it only started bleeding when my blood was too thin. That was only for a few days so it was pretty fast. It was an old scar from my first ulcer when I was a Senior in High School.
MT you're right I'm finally back with rings on my fingers and bells on my toes.
One of the best things that happened while I was on my vacation was an other patient. He didn't know he had a daughter and she had been looking for her father. He was the patient and she was his nurse.
I missed reading posts to see what is happening in you lives. It will take me a while to catch up. So I'm just jumping in with both feet.

Re: Motivational Monday
Hello Dear Ladies,
We have a beautiful sunny day!
While I sat in the sunshine on the front porch, I called my Daunt 92 in NY.
She said she had been worried about me as I hadn't called her in a couple of weeks. With my back and leg hurting so much, I didn't feel like doing much of anything.
I did my exercises this morning too. I do my back exercises and then added a few more to it.
Think I'm going to changed my routines around. Before I would get the house all straightened out and then try to exercise which didn't work out. Now I'm going to exercise first and then work on the house. Maybe the housework won't get all done, but oh well, it will be there.
(((Indiana)))!!!!! so glad to see you posting!
(((Harriet))) hope your day goes better.
Kathryn, have you thought of getting some of your books in audio? That way you could do some housework or something as you "read" your book.
This afternoon I'm going to work on the house and taxes.
Have a great Monday all!

Re: Motivational Monday
Had to change that spreadsheet all around as it didn't print right....got myself into a pickle and had to get out the dummie book to fix it.
Did a statement for DH. 2 people came by for their checks. Potential customer came by to look at an example of something.
Mail came in, more stuff to do, bills, etc., so I'll do that next.
Sigh...feels like I'm not making much progress around here.

Re: Motivational Monday
Hi everyone - I feel like Harriet today - I was up at 3:15 am to say goodbye to DH who was leaving for the airport. Then I couldn't go back to sleep until 6am. I got up at 10am, but am dragging around the house aimlessly. DS20 went back to school today, Spring Break is over.
DH will be in WDC for the week. I need that motivation to get some decluttering done while he is gone.
Waving hi to all posting this morning. So happy to see Indiana posting!

Re: Motivational Monday
Sadie: I listen to The Economist (a weekly, 6 hour, enlightenment) and my friend's church service so I can't really add more on audio. In addition, my books I read for preaching are ones I like to make notes about and that is easier when I can reread passages until I truly understand what is being said (I have found I've had to go back over my friend's sermons, rewinding over and over until I hear what is said - but rereading is easier than doing that.)
Back home again. My neighbour's cataract surgery went fine but she was in discomfort. It doesn't help that it is a bright sunny day. I had advil in my purse so she didn't have to wait until she got home. When I left her place, another neighbour was arriving with food so she'll be fed and not have to think too hard about what to eat. Her follow up appointment is at 10 tomorrow, a nice hour for me. I'll take her in, bring her home and go back for volunteering (literally 1 mile away from her appointment.)
I must remember I'm chairing a church meeting tomorrow night, as well.
For now I'm taking a break and doing my nails.

((((Sadie)))) OUCH! Hope the exercise helps with the back pain. I once had a chiropractor tell me that until I established an walking program I would always need his services.
Harmony - You are doing awesome to stay up with all those incoming requests!
TADA!!! Tax prep is finished! I have a 4pm appt with CPA to deliver it. When I called for an appt, he got my attention by saying he didn't have time to do my taxes this year. *GULP* He has been doing them for over 20 years. Thankfully he said to go ahead and bring my tax stuff in. He said he is "snowed under" 2 times more than he has time for so what is one more?
In my effort to become more *O*, I am going to create some monthly cards that will hopefully eliminate this massive tax prep effort.
DMom's shoes just arrived so I will deliver them to her as I go to CPA.

Re: Motivational Monday
Okay - My CPA, who does 400+ returns a season, sends a letter in January to her clients stating that if you submit taxes to her after Mar. 17, she will file an extention for you and will finish them after April. Basically it's "first come-first served", so that is my big motivation to get them to her early. Good work getting them in to your CPA and appealing to his good nature to get them done.
I'm going to take a shower and hope that wakes me up. I dislike this blah feeling, I'm usually "up and going" in the morning.
