Good morning! Today is significant for me because I'm posting well before noon! May it become a habit because that would mean I'm getting up "significantly" earlier.
The tornadoes stayed well away from my corner of the world. We did have about 30 minutes of strong, straight wind and a large (about 3'x20') piece of tin ended up in my backyard. Looks like it blew off a building someplace. For a few minutes, I thought it might fly through my dining room window. Now my dilemma is how to get rid of it. I have no truck of any kind & the tin is much too large for my car trunk. My challenge for the day, I guess.
Dee, have fun at Disney.
Indiana, may you have just the right words to say when talking with the administrator. I can't believe the trouble over your trash. One would think those details would have been worked out long ago. Maybe this is "growing pains" for a new complex??? ((Hugs)) for rethinking a friendship. Always a difficult time.
Harriet, hope your dd13 enjoys her new ss class. Isn't it frustrating when you were "right there" and forgot to do/get something? I have resorted to keeping a running list of future errands and stops & take the list along when I go out, assuming I remember it. Having a list does help, although my pride is a little bruised to think I can't juggle everything in my head.
OKay, glad you and yours are safe. Better over-prepared than under! Re obituaries: Were her children mentioned at all, or was it just the husbands who were omitted? More and more I see obituaries mentioning former spouses, divorces, etc., especially when children were involved.
Cowinkie, congrats on your upcoming retirement. You are smart to have a plan. I thought I did, but things didn't happen like I expected, which was entirely my fault.
Nancy, enjoy your dgc & the beautiful day.
Waving to everyone, have a wonderful day!
