Grumble. Just filled in an update of house for property tax purposes. I had to add the shed (built 18 years ago but I guess they never noticed.) Plus our 1/2 bath counts as a full bath because there's a shower in there. Wonder how that was missed because that hasn't changed since the house was originally built. I took off the whirlpool bath because it's broken (and won't be repaired or replaced.) I added the gas fireplace (there for 18 years) and updated the dates for windows, roof and heating system. My guess is that our mill rate will go up although maybe they'll note that the bathrooms and kitchen are 18 - 27 years old (cabinets and fixtures are 27 years old, flooring is 18 years old.)
Anyway, the form is filled in and ready to mail.
Mailed off the payments for our grass cutting today. Was on the way to the store to mail it when we came across her truck at a neighbour's place. She was cutting their back yard so we left the payment on the seat.
Dinner was fine. Hockey game is going very badly. Dh is watching a movie. I'll clean up the kitchen and maybe clean the powder room (I still call it that even though it has a shower!)

Re: Wednesday Wow
Twins -- maybe there is hope for me yet!
Everyone listen:
* * * drum roll * * *
Lucylee has vacuumed all the living area, plus master bedroom & bathroom!!!
* whew *
Thank you, thank you all... really... the applause is too much... thank you...
It really does feel better to have that done, though, and I think the thing is -- I simply cannot clean house when dh is in it. I don't know why... it is a psychological block or something... but I just cannot seem to pull myself together enough to do this when he is home.
And since we are BOTH home at the same hours... * sheesh * It is just an overwhelming problem for me.
Tonight, I started vacuuming when he went out the door to go to his mother's.
In less than 15 minutes, he was back inside, asking me to write a check for the ac man.
Well... about 45 minutes later, (the ac man is QUITE a talker) dh started again to go to dmil's. I went with him this time, b/c we were getting in a hurry to eat supper.
Probably 45 minutes LATER, we left dmil's, picked up ds, went to Chinese buffet, and then I dropped off ds & dh at church.
FINALLY -- home alone -- and I finished vacuuming, plus watered the plants.
I have about 15 minutes before I need to go get them, and then I think the three of us are going to a movie. Ddil is working, so we'll have to see something she doesn't want to see, or ds won't go with us.
I also talked to my ddad, drank a bottle of water, and mailed birthday card to dsgm. I'm feeling very virtuous indeed.

****CLAPPING FOR LUCYLEE*****
We worked all the way to "Plan C" tonight. Plan A and Plan B was tried and failed so we just kept trying until we found one that worked.
PLAN A = Horse training clinic was a bust. There was only about 50 people that showed up for it and about 1/2 left because it was in a different format than they expected (no ground work). There was PLENTY of food but it was going to be another couple hours before they started eating.... so we left. SCRATCH PLAN A!!
PLAN B = DH vote to eat at a local steak house that is donating 10% of tonights proceeds to favorite children shelter, however when we arrived there wasn't a single empty spot in the parking lot. SCRATCH PLAN B!!
PLAN C = DGS16, GF and DGS14 voted to eat at Golden Corral so we finally got to eat about 2 hours after we thought we would.
