I've spent some of the day helping dd with test prep, since that's the focus of the entire school week. She did an old sample test from our state, and along the way we found sample tests from two others. She didn't do all of theirs, of course, but it was interesting to choose some parts to check herself.
I took her out after church to pick up a fun reading book for the parts of the day she is not testing. They've been told to leave Kindles or any other type of electronic device at home. She also grabbed a small sketchbook, but I wonder if they will allow that. On the way home we stopped at Arby's for her ddad, but I had none of it. She's in bed by 10 with a plan for egg breakfast.
Enjoyed a call from dstepson this evening.
I've so enjoyed the theme for today. I wonder what my children will remember I told them?

Re: Happy Mother's Day
DSon called from Netherlands and left a message on my phone (I was in church). He also called his Grandmothers and wished them a Happy Mother's Day too.
LO told everyone "Happy Birthday, Christmas, New Years Mother's Day" today. Guess he wanted to make sure and cover all the bases.

I don't think I even have any anti-virus stuff running, OKay. I think that's kinda dangerous, but seems like every time we download something, it causes conflicts, so we just quit and switched to ad-aware. I haven't run it in a LONG time, though, so I am running it now. So far, it is showing nothing.
I'm about ready to get in bed, myself. This weekend has just been tiring for me. I know it's mainly b/c I got sunburned yesterday. That always wipes me out for a day or so. Maybe it's all in my head, but it seems any time I get sunburned, I have to just sorta sleep it off. I guess it's partly dehydration, too.
I have a load of laundry in the washer, and that's going to be IT for tonight.

Lucy: How old is your computer? Is the running slow something recent or has it always been slow? Can you pin point when it started running slow - after an update, or loading some software? Are you running AOL? I found that it slowed me down a lot.
We did nothing but go to church and then come home to the cool house. We turned on the AC and have had a comfortable day.
I need to update my blog - but somehow it slipped my mind all day - instead I read a book and inspected the insides of my eyelids.

It’s never too late to be what you might have been.

Re: Happy Mother's Day
MT -- computer is several years old... and yes we are running aol. That's not an option, though -- dh would NEVER want to go through changing e-mail & the favorites set up he is used to, etc etc... no way, no how... (I'm pretty set in my ways, too, actually. I'd hate to change e-mail addresses, etc. -- but dh would just completely have a come-apart if he thought he was losing his aol home page, LOL!)
Anyway -- seems like it has gotten slower over the past... sometime. No, I can't pinpoint anything. Haven't added anything.
DH doesn't even want me to take it in to O ffice D epot on-site tech! Says he will lose all his GAME results.
Now you see what I'm up against??? I told him if his game log meant that much to him, to quit complaining and live with the speed he had.
