It is a weird brightness outside right now. Its 7:30 Mt. Time, but since we don't do Daylight savings time here in AZ its 6:30 according to the clock.
I can hardly look at the sun, its so bright, but if I squint I can see the moon is almost directly in front of the Sun. We have been told that sunset will be spectacular...we'll see. Right now I can't see much.

Re: Sunsational Sunday!
Church was great this morning. I took 2 pages of notes during the sermon.
Time with DParents went almost perfect. DBro #2 and DMom's favorite DNephew was there and watched DBro #1 memory DVD with them. It brought back lots of good memories and ended with them smiling.
Mowed more this evening while LO played. Dug up some new potatoes and picked some green beans. The beans are just now stating to produce. DH cooked some steaks on the grill. I was going to use the steak to make beef stir fry but I certainly had NO PROBLEM with his menu plan & implementation.

Re: Sunsational Sunday!
Day is done. We got the shade structure awnings up. I did another load of laundry. We watched two tv episodes and I watched The Importance of being Ernest. Also got a week of devotions done.
Dh did up the dishes for me.
Off to bed now. Dh was trying to deliver something to Australia this evening. I pointed out that since they are a commonwealth country, it might be Victoria Day there too. Went to the kitchen calendar to confirm (it is Aussie) but discovered I had given that calendar to ds and have another one up.

Random thoughts on this Sunsational Sunday evening after cuop
:
Congrats, Cowinkie, on your retirement! How exciting for you
.
So nice to see Kally stop by the other day
. We missed you here.
((Elizabeth)), I was so sorry to read about your job.
Praying that we see Indi's smiling face around here tomorrow. When I see her recipe box avatar I always feel as if everything is as it should be here in the village.
Enjoyed your trip posts, Kathryn. Glad you are home safe & sound.
OKay, it is so nice that you & your family have your dbrother on DVD. Know that must have been so hard to watch because you all miss him so, but wonderful at the same time to hear his voice & see his face.(((Hugs)))
Waving ~~~ to Sunny. It seems as though it has been a while since we've been here on the same day to say hello
.
Good morning, Lynlee. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Twins, I've enjoyed hearing how your new house is taking shape bit by bit.
I missed the horse race yesterday (was it the Preakness? I can't keep the names of the three races straight
) but watched the replay when I read that the same horse won again. It's exciting to think that there is a chance for a Triple Crown winner this year!
I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams, everyone

Re: Sunsational Sunday!
Home...
Yes, it's late. We actually got in around 11:30. I've been reading the paper and just getting a few odds and ends out of the way -- just stuff that has to be done before morning. Skipped a LOT of bedtime routine.
We had a nice time, but we are very tired. The birthday party was nice, but crowded w/a LOT of people we had never laid eyes on before in our lives, had no idea who they were, and since we are all sorta introverts, we will probably NEVER know who they were -- LOL! Thank goodness there were two other couples in the same boat as us, so ddil had a couple of other ladies to talk to! But it was nice; dh & ds had a good time. I suspect ddil would have had a much better time if she were not six weeks away from her due date!
Cuop...
Yes, straw hat w/wide brim would have come in handy for ds this weekend. He wore a baseball cap for a lot of the festival, though. I'm sure that helped a LITTLE bit on his face. Not much else, though.
Baby shower is June 10. I'll try to talk to dcousin tomorrow.
Oh my... it is after 1:00 a.m. I hope I don't have many students tomorrow! I don't have an exam scheduled, so it is possible that I will have an easy day. After tomorrow, though, it will get pretty hectic until Thursday afternoon.
Well... I better start finding my way to bed! See y'all tomorrow!
