4 p.m. and I am breaking. Have dishwasher going, a new lol of going, kitchen counters cleaned up, laundry basket of clean clothes put away and the family room straightened up some. I also had ds, under protest, bring down some yard sale stuff from upstairs that just needed a transport.
This next round will be in the garage - it's awfully hot! And also loading some stuff into the car to take to recycle center and transfer station in the a.m.
And it's time to go again...
Just to make things a little more interesting, the mover we'll be using dropped off a bunch of big wardrobe boxes in our garage yesterday.

Re: Thrifty Thursday
Another round and am I hot! Ds "helped" by going to get the ddogs kiddie pool and encouraging Moses to cool down. This was just the help that I needed, LOL. I was nice to ds, and as long as he hung around I gave him some jobs to do for me.
Yes, and now Moses smells like a dog and the garage floor is wet.
I will do this round inside, and continue as a mix of packing, pulling things out to pack or yard sale, and household stuff.
DH called and will be home late (again) tonight. Not a happy camper on my part. I really could use some assistance.
Going again.

Re: Thrifty Thursday
I am taking break again. I worked some up in the playroom and upstairs, straightening and pulling out stuff that we don't need to keep. Dh emptied the closet in the guest bedroom, but left a bunch of stuff up there - I can't read his mind so I'm not sure what his plans are.
Next round is back in the garage in the heat. Weather channel online says it's 98 degrees, and that's on the mountain.
I am going in.

Re: Thrifty Thursday
DH got the solid awning on over the bedroom slide. I'm thinking it will also help keep things cooler inside as the heat isn't beating down on the roofs of the slide-outs. And the solid ones are lined with styrofoam insulation. We still have lots of windows, but thinking those awnings will help quite a bit.
Went up with the key to the laundry room for dd and helped her get lots of laundry done. Normally she would take things to her MH to dry, but she can only do a few items at a time and she had way too much laundry to do. GD13 creates a lot of laundry as many teens do. Her attitude is absolutely horrendous. DD took her in the MH today for a 'little talk'. Think it helped some. She's getting bored and is so jealous of dgs7 (her cousin).
I am oh so proud of myself. DH put our bed up and built a support to hold it up this morning. Off and on I have neatly put things away in there that I don't really need right now. AND, wait for it.........I actually have l**ted everything in that spot and have it on the computer. At least if I'm looking for anything there I can check here first. Was going to have dh put it back down but we decided to wait until bedtime in case there's anything else we want to put under there. Sure made room in my closet and bedroom! Think I may fill a grocery cloth bag with clothes we don't really use and put it under there. At least in the bags things are easy to pull back out.

I took #2 dgd to a pool bday party #1 dgd & I went to the thrift shop on the way home she got a new to her note book for school, I got a book by the same author I'm reading now so was excited as this book was on my to read list.

We are back from the ballet. The first part was the smaller kids who did a version of Cinderella. The second part was called Into the Woods and had Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella all rolled into one story. Lots of singing and dancing and was most entertaining. Some of the students from this Dance Academy have gone on to Semi-pro musical theater (like at Disney or 6 Flags)
Then DH and I took Dsis out to Famous Dave's BBQ - so I am stuffed.
We will have a quiet evening at home tonight.

Re: Thrifty Thursday
Bookie - I forgot about steaming eggs! I used to do it all the time in steamer. Wonder why I quit and went back to boiling them?? I remember how easy it was to steam them and I didn't have to watch them close. Just set the steamer timer and walk away. Thanks for the reminder/tip on steaming hard boiled eggs!
Had a wonderful day.
** Did some MPB AM chores that DH normally takes care of.
** Checked on DParents. DDad had a difficult start to the day, but had a smile on his face and a grateful heart. They wanted LO to stay with them while I went to the tag office. He had a grand adventure during the 30 minutes I was gone.
** Bought 2 vehicle tags
** Bank and post office
** Worked at mobile clothing trailer giving away clothes to several people. Came away feeling very blessed and thankful. There are some people who really have some struggles.
** Ate lunch with the volunteers and my crew (DGS17, DGS15, LO)
** Saw a adult hoola hoop at a garage sale as I was driving down the road. HAD TO HAVE IT
Did a u-turn and went back and got it. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Now I need to start using it. I've fooled around with it a few minutes when i got home.....OH my. WHAT was I thinking? My hips and waist are already talking to me about this new way of exercising them.
** Took older DGS's summer clothes shopping. They are quick to pick something out and easy to please.
** Bought LO some shrimp for his fish tank. I asked for 1/2 dozen.....28 cents each. When they rang it up it came to $72!!! The fish person had wrote the wrong code on the bag and come to find out he had also put 2 dozen in the bag (they are small and I didn't count them). frustrated because we don't need 2 dozen but didn't want to keep holding the line up at the register so I went ahead and bought them. Probably wasted $6.72 because LO is in training and tend to put too much food in fish tank
** Made some low carb fry bread for supper. YUCK! I won't be trying that recipe again. At least the dogs liked it
