Well... we have had a little bit of magic here... things are looking up considerably.

We've done all the errands for the day & finished supper.
I went out & walked 2 miles.
Now I need to iron dh's shorts for tomorrow, and I'd like to vacuum b/c the bug man is supposed to come tomorrow and my goodness... our floors are sooo dusty.

Big WTG to HRH for managing his dsf so well during the panic attack.
Black & white comedies are a good reliever for me. I realized that watching the Three Stooges videos w/ds or dh was a great help, surprisingly. I have also recently discovered Car 54, Where Are You? I love it!!!

I definitely can relate to Harriet's shopping comments. I need to go shopping sooo badly but I always get so discouraged when I'm there. It's like everything is made for skinny teenagers. Cowinkie, you really lucked out w/the shirts! WTG!
I am watching the smiles, too... next year, that will be me!

Oh -- re: movies... the reason I may end up seeing the embarrassing movies is b/c dh seems to think we MUST go out somewhere every night we have free (no Braves game) b/c "the day will come when we can't go anywhere." He lives in mortal fear of becoming housebound like his ddad was, and he is such a pessimist he is sure he doesn't have many healthy years left. * sigh *

Waving to ALL... must go do something to make some progress around here.
Tomorrow is another day.

We have had another nice day around here. After lunch we watched "B ridemaids". We played F arkel again. I fixed lasagna for dinner with a salad and cheese garlic bread. Tonight we played S equence. They left ahead of 10 so that they would be at the hotel in time to watch their 10:00 movie on L ifetime. They seem to really be enjoying their time together.

Dd2, dgd16, her bf and the 2 little ones came over after they had picked them up at daycare. This morning dgd15months cried and cried when they went to daycare. It was her groups turn to have water day, so dd2 took her home to get her suit, etc. When she took her back, she did fine. She called and checked on them throughout the day and they were both doing great. Dgd2 told me that she has 8 new friends. Dd2 said that when she went to pick them up that dgd2 was having so much fun with the little girls in her group. I am so relieved that they did well. Dgd2 will be 3 in September. She is not potty trained, although she has used the potty at various times. I knew that when she started daycare and seen that everyone else was going to the potty that she would too. She went all day at daycare. She loves to wear big girl underwear. Recently she had them on and did her business in them. Dd2 just cut them off her and threw them away. A few days later she had them on again. Then she told her mom, oh no I p..... Dd2 said not again. Dgd2 said it's all right, I put a pull up on. When a child is smart enough to do that, she shouldn't be wearing pull ups. So I hope this permanent.

Dgd16 and her bf are helping dd2 paint her studio. Today she bought plastic tableclothes to cover the windows, so that no one can see in, while she is at this stage. Today the kids taped everything and dd2 filled nail holes, etc. Dd2 will do the cut in painting and they will do the rest. I am so glad they are helping and then dd1 and I don't have to feel guilty for not helping.

Guess I better head to bed. Dd1 and I are walking in the morning.

Lilac, I am sooo glad things are going well w/the visit!!!
Also, sooo glad daycare went well, AND the girls are helping with the painting, etc. Sounds like everything is going pretty smoothly right now! You have certainly earned some "time off for good behavior" w/all that's been going on lately.

I have finished vacuuming all the main area of the house!!! Hooray, hooray, hooray!
Actually, I have done EVERYTHING on my daily routine checklist today, EXCEPT my "5 minute morning exercise" and my "go to bed @ 11:00 p.m." I'm not too concerned about either of those, I guess, especially the bedtime... at least for a couple more weeks.
I also did "detailed" vacuuming of the baseboards in master bath, and decluttered the countertops just a bit.
Knowing the bug lady is coming tomorrow -- yes, I said bug man earlier, but it's really his wife who will be spraying tomorrow -- anyway, knowing she's coming REALLY spurred me on to action, and I needed that push SOOO incredibly badly.
Tomorrow, after she leaves, I may do the rest of the house, so I can at least have the floors done before school starts. I know, that is so awful, to just ignore 3 rooms of the house, but we so seldom use those rooms that is easy to ignore them.
And, as usual, I will be starting the new (school) year with high hopes that THIS will be the year when I finally Get My Act Together and figure out Some Sort of Schedule so the house doesn't completely fall apart before next summer. * sigh *

Hope the weather has been okay since your last post, Kathryn... storms like that can be kinda scary!

Waving to everyone and hope you all have a great night. It is totally amazing, the difference 24 hours can make.
Last night was just horrible around here, and neither dh nor I slept much at all... but I think all is well now.
Tomorrow is another day.
