-clear kitchen table (lots of stuff from garage ended up there yesterday)

-hang picture in the hallway that goes over chest

Well, rats. The picture that I was wanting to hang has two of those little dohickies on the back where you have to place your picture hangar exactly where it will catch the hangar. I'm not sure I can do that; I was hoping for a wire.

Continuing:
-reboot laundry - it's not quite done
-investigate hanging this picture, can I add a wire on the back of it?
-hang a picture in the powder room
-sweep back patio (with assistance from ddogs)
-bring in little cart that I use in front closet for small vacuum cleaner and bags, etc.

This Sunday is super b/c h. got off in time to get cleaned up and come to church w/ me!
Then we heard how the pastors house sold in 12 days for full price!
Picnic in the park to ourselves was great!

DH did walk the 2 miles to the truck stop. After we ate & read the newspaper, he wanted to ride back with me because it's still too hot. The bank sign said only 80F, but humidity is up and there's no breeze.

I spent an hour this afternoon decluttering storage areas. We don't have an attic, so "stuff" gets tucked away various places. I did half an hour yesterday, and between the 2 sessions have managed to fill 2 small TKG bags. I found better homes for several things.

Last night DH ate what I had planned for supper tonight, so I told him tonight he gets leftovers.

This evening I need to process the sewing newsletter for mailing (fold, tape, address label, postage stamp). I have a couple of DVDs to watch while doing that.

I think DH is taking another Monday off work, so I'm not sure what to plan for tomorrow.

Twins' Mom ~ Thanks for the review of the glass water bottle. I hope I can find one. I don't go anywhere in the car without a bottle of water, no matter what the season.

It's been so hot this summer that it doesn't take long for the water in the bottle to get warm. I'll still drink it if I'm thirsty enough. However, I've seen a few articles that say the kind of bottled water purchased in stores is causing problems when left in cars because when the bottles are exposed to sunlight/heat, chemicals leach out of the plastic into the water.

I've spent the last 2 hours inputting birth/marriage/death dates into Our Family Tree from the 40 pages of records my cousin sent me. Lots of stuff missing but this is a good start to get a picture of what we have.

It is a bit hard to do as I'm typing on my lap at DD's house. We are using her faster connection waiting for DS andDGD#6 to Skype us.

Ate too much at supper as DSIL cooked super duper hamburgers on the grill with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. Also had left over sides from last night.

Puppies are suddenly vocal. DD has new video to go up of them moving all over the puppy box and barking and yelping at each other. I am sure that they can now hear as one can wake up all the rest. UTube videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/waterfowlch ... sults_main

Dd32's family got away safely toward dfirstmil's for a visit about 1/4 way home, then they would find a fast food, then make the rest of the journey home. DangerBoy was so helpful picking everything up and straightening for me before they left. He had to explain to me that you can't put giant legos away in the case unless they are all taken apart - they won't fit. He was very understanding of my mistakes!

Nice water glass for car - Ddil gave me a 16-oz Tervis Tumbler with travel lid for Christmas. Obviously, I didn't appreciate until hot weather what I had here! It is a joy. I fill with ice, pour water over, and I can go on all my errands leaving the Tumbler in the hot car and still have icy cool water to drink on the drive home. I haven't yet been able to stay away from home long enough to let the water get warm, and I know I've been out 2.5 or 3 hours.

She got me the "Cherry Blossoms" print and I must comment that the photo doesn't do it justice. It's much more attractive than the photo, design more detailed, too. Of course she only considered the 16-ounce for me, because I preach counting pints of water to be sure of intake, so I don't know how I'd like the other sizes. If anything happens to it I will just have to replace it. I like the new one with goldfish. You do have to have a free hand for it unless you spring for the handle (extra).

I don't have a good water bottle so am making do this year with one from a theme park. Since it doesn't have a spill proof lid, when I'm going out I grab a couple of frozen water bottles from the freezer and one or two from the fridge (or from the case which is by the door in the mud room) and put all that in my insulated lunch bag in the back seat of the car. That keeps everything cold for at least 10 hours. On Saturday, we used the ice (I had drunk the water) to keep the ice cream cold on the way home from the grocery store. Dh has stored two extra bottles of water in the car for emergency use, something we've never had before.

Watched The Help. It was fantastic.

Except I didn't stop it in the middle to make dinner so I ended up not eating until 7:30. I watched Devil Wears Prada on the tv after since it is one of my favourite movies and used the commercial time to tidy up the kitchen.

I have a headache still and am exhausted so am off to bed.

It has taken me a long time to cuop because I am watching the Olympics at the same time. I love watching them. There are some events I like more than others. I love the gymnastics, the diving even running races...I'm not a fan of team sports, olympics or otherwise, so don't usually watch much of those. I like to watch the individuals. I am just amazed at what they can do. I cringe when I watch the men on the rings. I just think of what they're expecting their shoulder joints to do, it doesn't look possible that they turn the way they do.

Was another rocky day here. I am still not feeling well. I have a very very bad sunburn. I was out in the sun too much with the kids. We usually stay 1-2 hours tops and some of that is under the umbrella. We left the umbrella for the baby. Next time I will take a tshirt if I'm with someone who wants to stay that long.

Church, then helping with communion. Home and dailies done, folded laundry, hung one LOL. I slept a couple hours. I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow. My shoulders and back really hurt.

Twins, I'm really sorry you're having foot pain. What helped me was to off and on all day long to remember to stretch my foot out, not like a toe dancer but point the toes up towards your knees as hard as you can. Never stretch them out like you're pointing them. And stretch them the right way a few times before getting out of bed in the morning when they could be most painful. I'm sure you knew all this. It helped me, also one of those foot massagers on bottom of foot really helped.

I am not really cuop so I know I'm missing a lot of stuff... glad to see that Kathryn got to see The Help -- just PLEASE don't think all of us Southerners are that shallow & racist... dh HATED the whole movie b/c he thought it made us all look so bad. I loved it, though.
Also -- sorry to see that Twins is having foot pain?
And -- ouch -- sunburn pain for Harmony... (((gentle hugs)))
Harriet's circus cake sounded sooo neat... and I'm still waiting to hear how the bulldozer (?) cake turned out for OKay... and still thinking of ALL you're dealing w/OKay...

I've done laundry for myself today... and will need to catch up dh's tomorrow.
Otherwise, I've done not much today. We are just EXHAUSTED after all the back & forth travel-travel-travel and late-late nights the last two days.

Dgs did GREAT on his first outing with us, though. Slept through most of the ride, and probably a lot of the show, but he was just as good as he could be. Ddil was very careful to feed him before he got too stirred up & fussy, but everything just went fine.

Now... if dh & I can survive our "vacation" to the Braves games... then our summer will be complete. It will be time to focus on school again... and ddil will be going back to work, so we may be called into babysitting duty a couple days/nights a week. She would like to go back to work this week, but can't strictly b/c of our trip. DS is going to be out of town also the very two nights she would need to work. I hate it -- my scheduling of this trip has just been bad all around from the beginning to the end -- but OTOH, I'm not really worrying about it. Dgs is only 5 weeks old this week -- I think a full 6 weeks' maternity leave is short enough for ddil. I know she is going to be exhausted when she gets back into that night shift work.
ALSO... apparently they have still not found time to write thank you notes for the shower... which was what? 7 weeks ago now? * sheesh * MAYBE one more week off work will spur THAT activity on. * sheesh * It just embarrasses dh to no end... and makes ds VERY irritable if you mention it, so I haven't. I try to just pray about it when I catch myself wanting to say something.

I am NOT ready to focus on school again... not at all. Two weeks of freedom remaining.
