I think I've been everywhere EXCEPT T arget today, so that's a pretty good title for the day. However, I am just about too wiped out to even post.
I do have to say, in the words of the late Minnie Pearl, I am just so proud to be here.
Seriously. I had a close call on the highway this morning, and it was probably my fault, but I am really glad the Lord spared my life.
Otherwise, the day was (relatively) uneventful. Car checked out well, to the tune of $700

That is pretty eventful, in MY book, at least, but dh seems unphased. He has been looking at the checkbook daily for the past month and bemoaning the balance, and now, apparently he has just given up.
HE came home from his golf game and announced that the transmission was out on his truck.

So... that will be the event for tomorrow.
I did get three new tops and a pair of very "dressy" trouser-style jeans for the start-up of school. (We are only allowed to wear jeans on Fridays, but these would probably pass M-Th as well, if I want to try it. I just thought I needed a new pair of jeans, school or no school.)
Apparently, they no longer make dressy shoes that I can walk in. That was the only drawback to my day, aside from almost meeting my Maker.
I also bought a "cool" towel for college football game days. Soak it in cool water & it will lower your body temperature 20 degrees, it promises. We shall see.
Line @ Chick-Fil-A circled the building twice, so I gave up on that and came on home.
Oh -- and I had time to get the car washed & vacuumed, and was still home by 1:00 p.m. Since I had really thought the car would take at least that long, I was VERY pleasantly surprised.
I woke up with a headache, which I kept all day, and I only slept 3 hours last night, so I came home and took a LONG nap!
Now -- waiting for ds & ddil to bring dgson over. Tonight is ddil's last night before she goes back to work, so they are going to the dollar movie.
Need to call my parents, too. I think they want to come over & visit w/dgs awhile.
Thinking of all who are also feeling sorta miserable (physically or maybe otherwise) lately...
(((Kathryn))) Take good care of yourself!
Hope Indiana is doing okay...
Thinking of others w/specific situations today...
Twins & Mr. Twins...
Dee & dd... Mr. Dee...
Harriet & family...
Harmony w/the skin troubles -- I can certainly sympathize there!
and all the others I know I've missed...
Sooo neat that Sadie's tree is still standing, in spite of changes in the neighborhood! I have LOVED reading all about your trip! Changes ARE sad, but so nice that you have such wonderful memories of such a sweet, small town childhood. I wouldn't take anything for growing up in a small town.
