Hi all - checking in after reviewing PWYC quickly. Wanted to respond before I forget what I read!
Harriet - Thanks for asking about my week back after vacation and my DS. He did wonderfully alone for the week and had the house cleaned up when we came home. Made it easier to transition to routine life. I have everything put away but one tote bag of tourist souvenirs and papers. I'll clean that out tomorrow.
Kathryn - sorry to hear of your undiagnosed illness. Hope you get some news after Mon. tests.
Thinking about Indiana - thanks MT for keeping us updated.
Waving hi to everyone else. Normal Saturday here, with errands and dailys and laundry. Very hot weather this week - 100's most days.
DS20 starts back to Fall semester next week. Thinking about Lucylee getting ready too. All the schools in the county start within the next two weeks - just when we get our hottest weather.
Watching the Olympics from taped shows - I like to view it in small segments - too overwhelming in the 6 hour shows on NBC.

Re: SIMPLIFY SATURDAY
Dh is home now so I can go to sleep. Except, suddenly, my tummy is growling. Don't know what I want to eat, if anything, so will try sleeping first.

Re: SIMPLIFY SATURDAY
Kathryn, how are you seeing the choir if you are not there? I think I missed something.
I grocery shopped and when I got back dstepson and family were here with HRH for a visit. Difficult for me with my ddad, as he just wanted them to leave and couldn't understand explanations. Thankfully, his arguments were with me and not them, but I'm sure they didn't have a very good "vibe" from the visit. I guess I was stressed out after they left and after he went to bed. I hadn't eaten enough until then and I really ate too much after that. So at this point not feeling very well and looking back on an unhelpful day. I wanted to exercise, but now that I've gotten Evening Dailies done I just don't feel the energy.
Tomorrow is another day, though. Dd already has her clothes laid out for SS.

Re: SIMPLIFY SATURDAY
Did a quick cuop for today.
Visited dfam#1 and just got back home again about 1 1/2 hrs ago. Ddil called yesterday to say ds had to work today so they wouldn't be down, but we were welcome to come to them. We left early right after lunch and went up past their place to Hobby Lobby. It's the closest one to us, about 25 mi away. I found the last five fabrics I needed to match the prints dgs10 picked out. On the way back to dfam house we stopped at the Sams a couple of miles from them to pick up cupcakes for dessert. It was a nice visit.
Calories and exercise --- I had never thought of using an online tracking website until I saw ds#3 using it while they were here on vacation in April. Every time we cooked and ate he scanned the bar codes with his phone and logged his exercise, so i figured myfitnesspal was a safe site to use. I might look at Harriet's site too and see which one I like best. Maybe I'll check in over in H H, too.
We had rumbles of thunder here this afternoon before we left, but no rain. We saw lightning to our east across the bay on our way home. It's still warm and humid here tonight.
I would like to take our two ddogs for walks every day like Twins', but they were never lease trained and the few times I have walked with them they pull constantly. I know it would be good for all of us, but it's so hot here during the summer and it would take a lot of training and strength to hold them in check till they learned how to walk.
Dh is sleeping in his favorite chair.

Re: SIMPLIFY SATURDAY
Harriet: the General Council is broadcast over the internet so I was able to 'be there' even though I was in my chair at home.
I'm up now. I guess I haven't been to sleep yet or barely (lights out was at 11:22 and I woke up at 12:55 and haven't been back to sleep.
One of my symptoms is itching. It is severe tonight and woke me up. Because it is caused by my liver, I can't take any meds for it and haven't found any solutions online. Distraction seems to be my only solution right now. At least when I'm up, I don't itch as badly as when I'm lying down.
