((Dee)) Wow. I hope this is the end of it. I see Harmony already let you know it was she who dealt with this last. I've read so many village stories I'm not sure I want one in my house!

Hi to BookSaver.

I have cleared out from under the kitchen sink into a cardboard box until the men leave, and cleared off the counter, taken out trash. Dd is hopeful we can tackle some school supply shopping today but that can't happen until her Daddy is home and available here, and until I'm satisfied with the dishwasher install. I think I'm hanging on to my utensil holders - they are replacements I'd ordered so not old yet, and they might have value to me if I like them better than the new one - I thought the new utensil holder looked small in the store.

Last evening's Open House was something else. First, the high school is even bigger than I thought. I kept saying it reminded me of a college campus. There is another two-story :o building behind the sprawling one you see from the road, and the front one is gigantic enough, with 8 looooong halls. We were both really tired from walking so much. I told her, sensible shoes, sensible shoes, sensible shoes! Through far-flung, all her classes are within real buildings, not mobile units, which was a question I had in my mind, and I'm happier with that.

Her engineering instructor is very down-to-earth and vivacious, proud of some contests his previous years' classes had won. Her music teacher holds a doctorate but does not seem intimidating. We were somewhat surprised that her World History teacher is also the football coach and just put a sign-up sheet outside the locked classroom while he went to meet and greet in the gym! I told you it seemed like a college! Health is a mystery - an invisible teacher who was moved out of one classroom and never found (at least by us) to have been placed in any other! Psychology teacher had also just been moved to a new classroom in the two-story building, so there seemed to be a lot of that.

I saw a lot of "Daisy Dukes" or even swimsuit-cut shorts, and dd tells me with no dress code yet at Open House, it's the only chance girls have to really show off those legs. LOL! And many girls were in full hair-twirling, lash-batting form, too. While chatting with another mother I know and her very pleasant son, a girl came running up and pretty much tackled him, obviously showing that she was used to being very physical. At one point, she nagged, "hug me back!", which he was trying hard not to do! Finally, she turned and said, "Oh, is this your mother?" Of course, she'll never recognize the mother again anyway, because the mother's eyebrows can't go that high as a usual thing. Such a good impression.

(((Dee))) Just what you need, another priority project - retyping those journals.

Harriet: love the description of the Open House. Yes, keep your utensil holders. My new one comes with three (they snap together or can be used separately) but I kept my old one too. Haven't used it in the dishwasher but have used it when doing dishes by hand.

I had an excellent nap so am of clear mind. Thankfully. Dh is back from his dentist appointment. I'm eating a healthy lunch. My weight was up for a second day in a row. I've got to watch what I eat because I'm not allowed to move enough to burn it off.

Good morning everyone! I have some good news. I got a call about an application and I have an interview at the end of the month! The call came while I was on the road, but I was able to get them to call back in 10 minutes. I still have some kitchen cleanup leftover from my marathon cooking session Monday, but most is taken care of. For lunch I am trying something new. I have cube steak in gravy. I hope the gravy thaws out in time! Tonight I need to get some photos printed and of course find something for dinner. I will probably have the remainder of the cinnamon rolls from Monday.

WTG Elizabeth! Wonderful news!

Yes Harriet keep the old utensil holder. I got my newest dishwasher in 2010 and the holder for it was so flimsy it wouldn't hardly hold anything.

Dson24 who works for the appliance store that I got the dishwasher from, ended up bringing me home one from a trade in model and it was so much stronger. I wished I had kept my holder from my older one.

Have done dailies and dusted my desk. Tomorrow I will dust the shelf beside it.

Off to exercise, shower and get ready for work.

Wonderful day to all!

Running through. Can't properly cuops right now. I did see Elizabeth's good news! I hope it works out! I enjoy descriptions of school experiences, Harriet. Yes, the high school here is immense too. I think the kids have 8 minutes passing time, and I truly wonder if that is enough time to travel between classes that are at opposite ends of the school from each other. I'll get back to H and F later today.

Hello everyone!

This morning I:
-found my last resume! 15? years old. I was pg with dd14 last time I worked.
-filled out paperwork to register dd16
-went to the school at 8 a.m. to register dd16; she got all the classes she had asked for!
-emailed with dh, including sending dd16 her schedule
-picked up friend at 9:40 to take her to. . . .
-moms group teaching team meeting in neighboring village at 10
-the meeting was over a little before 1 pm.
-drove back, dropped off friend, went home
-I'm in the middle of eating lunch quickly b/c. .

Dfriend will be here in 5 minutes to help me put together my resume.

I haven't even had an opportunity to reclaim my kitchen.

Oh, Elizabeth, that is wonderful news!

I just fielded a phone call from our realtor that the house, with a little cleaning, is ready to list - and the cleaning lady is cleaning it tomorrow night, so we're moving along on that. Now dh and I need to fill out the disclosure checklist.

I've wasted away the day so far, I did walk the ddogs earlier but I am going to try to work my way through a.m. routine and figure out what I meant to get done today. I've obviously been in a funk. I just ordered a wire bound one book per month planner from F ranklin Covey that will fit into my purse and I'm going to try to track my to-dos better.

-make the bed
-straighten great room
-clear kitchen counters
-refill meds containers
-assess what else needs to be done today

Wishing for a normal day here, but my plans for the day have changed from my usual routine. My mind is going in several different directions right now and I need to focus on some important things.

I have been thinking of Harmony this morning, too, and wishing her well. Hoping to hear good news soon.
Bernice, hoping things settle down for you and dd7.1 is getting better.
Dee, hope the watermelon cleanup is done. We had a pumpkin ooze into a tv a long time ago, so I know what a mess you had. Sorry you lost some of your photos.
Harriet, high school is a whole other society, isn't it?!! Sounds like you have a few thousand students there. Hope the teachers are as good as they seem.
Nancy, hope your new preacher works out good you you.
Harriet, hoping both the new dishwasher and new mechanic are excellent for you.
Elizabeth, good luck on your interview. Your lunches all sound delicious.
Helia, it's good that you were able to register classes for dd14&16. It will be much easier for them. Our three dgd all got the classes they wanted. Dgd17 is also taking 1 or 2 classes at one of our local colleges for credit also as part of her senior curriculum.
Twins' that's good news about your house being ready. I hope it sells quickly.

I'm hearing thunder and it is raining again. I have been watching the weather closely re the new tropical storm. I need to get some up to date papers collected and some other things ready just in case. I have a grocery list started and we will go shopping tomorrow. Most of what we need is regular purchases, but will pick up some things like bottled water and ready to eat canned goods to be prepared.

I spent just under an hour outside. Weeded the last of the front gardens, the easiest of the back gardens and did some trimming in the hardest of the back gardens. Swept the wood dust off the deck and put the furniture back up on it. So the back yard is tidied up.

Pizza for dinner tonight so I don't have to think about that.

I'm still awake but may lie down for a bit to balance my up/down time better. I'm learning how to go to sleep in the middle of day in my rest bits, which is a good habit to have. Funny, napping is second nature to babies and then they beat it out of you in school!

Just noticed something funny. I was looking up where my interview will be. I know exactly where it is and how long it takes to get there. I worked in that builing for 12 years!
