Re: FRIDAY FUN
Happy Anniversary Twins! Enjoy your vacation.
It is anniversary weekend I guess - mine is tomorrow - but we're taking it easy, staying home. We usually celebrate after Labor Day weekend, less crowds.
Lists - I love them, have made them all my life. Totally lost without a list. Have a typed one for grocery shopping, use it every week. I had a man chide me for my typed list at the grocery store once - he thought it was ridiculous/over the top. Just made me love my list even more!
Off to the listed adventures of the day!

Re: FRIDAY FUN
)Proud of myself -I sat down, read for a while and didn't even nap! Now, that's unusual!
DH is working on my golf cart -putting in new headlights, fixing the horn and I'm not sure what else. Think he's putting a heater in it. (
). Now I ask you, how often am I going to use a heater? If it's that cool, I'd probably drive around the park in the car.
We heard a little rumor yesterday that DS-R, ddil & dgs7 may be moving over on our side of the pond. Dcampowner said something to dh but we're not letting on we've heard anything. Campowner did tell dh he doesn't want anyone to know when somebody's moving -or he'll be inundated with calls. We know nothing! I can see pros and cons to ds's moving. One thing is it will be much easier for them to come and go from here. Otherwise they have to drive all the way around the big pond at 5mph and it takes a while. So, if they move I can only wish them well and hope things work out for them. Where they are now dgs7 is the only child left up on the hill. Once they move it will only be leased to 55 and over. Think that's one of the big reasons they want to move. Secondly on weekends they have all the 'weekend' campers right across from them and that's usually different from permanents. Don't get me wrong -most of them are fine and nice to be around, but there's always those who 'spoil' the barrel.

Re: FRIDAY FUN
Home again from errand runs - Walmart, gassed the car, went to old house and replaced what light bulbs I could, washed and vacuumed car, got package to post office for dd, dropped off pants to be altered and picked up script. Now to get ready to go!
I need to pack, straighten the house, and leave info for dog sitter. She came over last night for a visit and Macs impressed her by throwing up while she was here.
-start a lol
-refill meds containers
-get out a bag to pack, get out computer bag, etc.
-write down info for dog sitter re out vet
-process load of laundry in the dryer
Helia, we're having dinner tonight in Atlanta at a nice restaurant with friends, and going from there to Hilton Head Island tomorrow for vacation. Thanks for all the anniversary wishes from all.

Re: FRIDAY FUN
Done, not necessarily in this order:
x WW - up 0.1 lb. That is amazing since I was pretty much eating at will for a couple weeks.
x bank for cash
x gassed the van
x email to moms group sc - w/ details of the meeting next week
x called medical something or other re: a "bill" I got in the mail today for a co-pay for an appt. in June that I paid before I walked out of the office. She told me letters? crossed in the mail and our account had 0 balance. This is the 2nd time this has happened this summer.
x Hank's owners came by to drop off the key; they stayed and chatted for a while, which actually was nice for me. I got to talk a little to the dd14 re: her schedule; she is one of my dd14's friends that is going to the same high school. Most of the kids from the middle school go to a different high school.
x emailed a little back and forth with dh who was sitting in the plane in Amsterdam; the flight was delayed. He has his own internet on his computer, so he has access almost anywhere. I forgot what the gadget is called.
x finished a.m. routine
x tried to gas dh's car as he suggested -- except I can't get that little door open to get to the gas tank. The lever by the front seat isn't working; it is stuck or something. Dh will have to take care of it when he gets home.
x put ds' cards in the mail since I missed the mail yesterday
x Trader Joes - odds and ends, including California rolls for my supper tonight and bread. One of the hardest things for dh returning from Europe is going back to eating the standard bread one gets at the groc. stores here. Yes, I've tried several different brands on dh. Great Harvest bread is great -- but expensive. I thought this TJ loaf may have some promise.
x changed into shorts - I weigh in in capris.
x put away clothes on the cedar chest in the MBR
Now, I have almost 7 hours before I need to pick up dh and girls. There are lots of things I want to get done before they arrive.
Next:
-finish the photo album project. (This will actually make dh very happy!)
-work in ds' room.
Those 2 items will take a while. BBL
I might turn on the AC. It is hot here today. I think areas of the country are getting a lot of rain, and here I had to water flowers last night.

Re: FRIDAY FUN
Happy Anniversary to Twins & Sherinjoy
Parade was enjoyed. LO was on the first float so I knew he would arrive at the unloading area before the rest of the parade had even passed us. I walked from our viewing spot to the unloading area and arrived ahead of LO's float. While waiting I decided to peek into the windows of a house for sale (empty). OH MY! I fell in love with it. I told DH about it so he took me back to look at it again. It is an old house but has so much character that I was charmed....smitten.....and loved almost everything about it. HUMmmmm..... now what? Do I want to move to it? All I see at this point is HASSLE. But on the other hand......dreaming......I could imagine myself in that kitchen.
Time to put LO down for a nap
