Oh duh... I'm going too fast b/c I'm so far behind --
I missed that today is TWINS & MR. TWINS' anniversary...
and it appears that TOMORROW is Sher & Mr. Sher's anniversary.

Happy anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Twins!!! :D :D :D

Glad I mentioned sher & dh, too, though, b/c I'll probably be out-of-pocket tomorrow... heading to Atlanta. War Eagle and all that jazz. ;)
Tomorrow is another day.

You got it, LucyLee. Think Twins wished Sher & Mr. Sher a Happy Anniversary because she won't be around tomorrow. Hey, nothing wrong with a lot of wishes. :D

Just had a hot dog with hot sauce for supper. DH has a sausage with everything -but he had to run to the other side as one of the 'weekenders' had no power. He grabbed a bite first.

You're doing amazing, Kathryn. Sure wish you and Harmony would get fit as a fiddle again.

Now I have nothing behind our counter on the dining room side now. Asked dh how he liked it -he looked all around and said this will work -but never looked where he was standing with all the room. He Likes it, he likes it! I do too. Dh has also gotten all our pictures hung this week. (One at a time), but now it's done.

Keep finding more things to change or move. Washed our sheets and all the rugs. I hung the rugs on the clothes bars outside, but dried the sheets. Now have to wait for dh to help me get them back on the bed. This bed is easier to make than most RV's but I still can't do it alone from scratch. The mattresses are just too heavy. The last foot or so of the bed has walls beside it -room between the bed & wall but it's still a stretch. The rest of the bed there's plenty of room around it.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Final Update:

]1. Clean bathrooms (15 minutes) Done!
2. Vacuum upstairs (15 minutes) Done!

3. Sweep kitchen floor (5 minutes) Done by dh
4. Damp mop kitchen floor (15 minutes.) Done by dh

5. Update quicken (15 minutes) Done!
6. Pay bills (10 minutes) Done!
7. Do payroll for August.(10 minutes.) Done!

8. Phone the specialist (5 minutes.) Done!

I did get our bedroom dusted before dh walked in the door so the upstairs was completely weekly cleaned this week.

Dh is mopping the floor for me as I type this, although I got all the dishes into the dishwasher and washed up the couple that couldn't go in. I've also run the washer and that load is ready to toss in the dryer.

We have one more movie to watch (trying to get in the ones that leave Netflix at midnight) and then bed. I have a headache and general malaise. Plus my temperature is up again.

Although I did a lot today, it only added up to about 80 minutes of chores (adding in the items that weren't on my original list) and I did those over the past 12 hours so it isn't as if I've been go, go, go, all day.

I found an important paper that has been eluding me. It represented enough money to worry about, although it could have been replaced. So that's a victory. My desk just gets too cluttered. Now I have one more missing container that is bugging me, so if I can just find that I certainly will be happier. But the tax bills came early today. :( Bummer pieces of paper for sure.

Oh, I found it!

Dd is laughing at me. She says I'm easily impressed.

She says she wishes there was a cure for pimples. I told her our dVetNeighbor Dr. Mary says she's found it, and it's eating Paleo. So dd says, "I'll eat it! What is it?" :) Considerable disappointment with the answer.

3-day weekend is a big hit with her.

Cecily has decided to go broody again. Sigh. Fay is just about tired of sisters who act foolish. She stands at the fence and complains loudly. I suppose she's saying "She's no fun at all! Come get her off this egg!" Fay likes company and doesn't like being ignored.

Dh and I watched the second movie while the kitchen floor and the towels dried.

He was shutting down the house for the night and reading his email on his smart phone when he was stopped still. He called out for me, reading news that a friend of ours is on life support and not expected to make it through the night. I'm in tears.

We visited her on our way home from Nova Scotia. At times, it seems ridiculous to people that we would drive a day out of our way and spend an extra night on the road in order to spend a few hours with a friend. At that point we knew she was ill and it was serious but we thought it was chronic, not life threatening. At this moment, I'm so glad we are ridiculous and think differently than most people, it leaves us with fewer regrets in life.

Hello, villagers ~

This afternoon I finished my sewing project (details in AC&N) for tomorrow's silent auction and delivered the bags up north. We can't go to the event so I'll hear all about it next weekend when we gather for DMIL's birthday. I agreed that if these bags sell well, I will accept another camo uniform and make some more for a future event.

Also returned the suitcase I borrowed from my younger sister.

I put a cooler with ice packs in my car before I left home so I could shop for groceries up there. I was concerned that we didn't have enough protein and veggies to see us through the 3-day weekend. Found an Aldi so that worked out well.

Must buy cat food tomorrow. DH might want to go to a movie, and there is a pet store near the cinema that sells the brand I prefer.

Last night (this morning) I went to bed around 3:30 and DH's alarm woke me before 6:30. I didn't have time for any kind of a nap. I should sleep well tonight!

Lilac ~ I had seriously considered going camping this weekend ... until a few days ago when our temps returned to the mid-90s. It's just no fun at all tent camping when it's this hot.

Kathryn ~ I'm sorry about your friend.

Harriet ~ It's really fun to learn that chickens have such individual personalities. Poor Fay sounds like our boy cat Eric when he starts yelling all over the house because neither of his sisters will come out to play. Although sometimes it seems that he just starts up because he has a cat song quota to fill for the day.

Kathryn, I am so sorry about your dfriend.

Well tonight was the first football game in our new stadium. It is really nice and bigger than it looks from the highway. It sits next to the bypass. Of course, dd2 was running late. The game started at 7 and she picked me up just before 7:30. She had worked later than she planned. The girls had had a snack. Once we got there I bought the short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts that dd1 had put back for me. As the mother of a jv cheerleader, she was selling shirts. We head to our seats and if there was a place that said section E, we didn't see it. We finally asked and some people on the left section said it was to the right. Dd2 had paid $195.00 for 7 reserved seats for 4 home games this year. Well wouldn't you know it, a group had taken our seats and didn't want to give any up. They finally moved so that we could have 3. Just as the half time show started, dgd16 mos. fell and busted her lip open. She was bleeding so badly that I thought she might have lost a tooth or something. Dd2 rushed out of the stands with her and dgdalmost3 and I were right behind her. Me with my arms full of t-shirts, as she had bought 4. We get to the bathroom and there are no paper towels, but of course, grandma had taken 2 wet washclothes in a plastic bag. I had intended to use them for dirty hands not bloody lips. Anyway we got the bleeding stopped and had dd1 look at it. It is just a split lip but it is going to be fat and bruised. We went ahead and left the game. We picked up fast food for them and they dropped me off. This might not have happened if we had had our seats and not been crowded out. Dd2 told one of the ladies that those 7 seats were ours and next time they would be full. She told me later that the only reason that she hadn't booted them out was because one of the ladies was the mother of one of the cheerleaders. I don't understand how people can think they should sit in reserved seats when they didn't pay for them and then act put out when you try to claim them. Oh well. The seats are almost at the 50 yard line and there are 3 in the first row, 3 in the second and 1 on the third. Dd1 had acted like all that was left was horrible seats but when dd2 went to buy them, she liked them. We will be hanging onto these for years to come. It is so nice not to have to crawl over strangers to get to your seat and it's by one of the exits. Our team wasn't doing so hot when we left and I don't know if they pulled off a win or not. I'm guessing not.

I offered to watch the 2 little girls tomorrow night so that dd2 and her dh can go out to eat. They have been working so hard at the shop, they need a break and some time together.

BookSaver, I don't blame you for not wanting to camp when it is this hot. I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Kathryn--You're right about taking time to visit your friend.

Lilac--Your wet washcloths really saved the day, sounds like. Hope little ones lip isn't too bad. Bless her heart. I miss the sounds of Friday night football. We could hear the band and the crowd from our last house. Used to attend the games when DD and DS were in high school. A new stadium must be exciting. We had ratty old bleachers that were about to fall down. They have surely been replaced by now, I would hope.

Helia--I'm no scrapbooker, either, but good for you!

Lastly, happy anniversary tomorrow to the sherinjoys!
