Cowinkie, thank you for sharing that information and the video. Do you wear a cpap machine? It is something to think about. However, I sincerely hope I do not have this. I've heard those machines, and I'm puzzled how anybody could sleep with that noise next to them.

Ivy, a clone would be good, but only if she was healthy and energetic! Otherwise, we'd just both be taking naps!

I'm with Helia and Dee about the dp. Dreaded PHONE!

I managed to get gas in the car. I was leaning against the car while I was pumping. I managed to get groceries, but it was hard. Towards the end I noticed that I was getting very very tired and light-headed. Bending down to get stuff off the bottom shelf was difficult. I must have been shuffling my feet because I kept getting sparks from the metal shelf edges.

I stopped and picked up my Rx, then sat in the car for a few minutes and tried to think what the last chore I had to do was. And golly I just couldn't remember. Didn't remember until I got home and managed to get everything unloaded and put away. I forgot my stop at the vitamin store.

Today was interesting. For a while today (early afternoon) I felt very "up", determined to get something accomplished. But when the energy was gone, it was just GONE. At least for today I can say the problem was physical, not mental.

After a nap and some soup I did a couple other things, folded a LOL, a couple other little things. I'm thinking this is simply a lack of energy. Oh well. Blood tests will take about 3 days to come back. They told me they do not give the patient the results, I will have to get them from the dr.

I have gone to my friends house and all cats were in one piece. I went out into her yard and was attacked by her rooster! As in blood dripping onto the patio and on my new white pants! It was awful, I was just trying to put them back in the coop (using corn as an incentive) before the bobcat-in-residence came over for a snack. Otherwise, I would have left them alone. I have always hated birds, because they are horribly messy, but now it's personal. That was over an hour ago and I am still oozing blood. I had to go to WM to get oxy-clean and my pants are now soaking.

The timer has just dinged on my noodle soup, so I will type while it cools. I think I will have to put off laundry until tomorrow, so I can add the pants. I can't believe I was attacked by a stinking bird! Horrible, noxious creatures. They can do their part for the ecosystem FAR AWAY from me. I hope everyone else is having a better evening.

Harmony..
I don't use a machine because I don't have sleep apnea. When you mention sleeping disorders that's what most people think of because most are familiar with it or knows someone who suffers from sleep apnea. There are many other types of problems that fall under the umbrella of a sleeping disorder. If you fall a sleep, but wake up a few hours later there could be a cause for that. If you go to bed and can't go to sleep, there could be a cause for that. In my case I can go to sleep...but its sort of like taking a little nap...I know I'm asleep, but am aware of what is going on in my surroundings....people would say I'm a light sleeper, but in reality my body and mind never fall into needed REM or deep sleep. At the time if you asked me, I would tell you I had slept through the night. The temp. of your room, display lights on radios or alarm clocks, the sun or moonlight coming through your window can all contribute to the depth that you sleep. I never went into deep sleep and over time became exhausted because of it. I hate summers here because I can't get the temp. in my room low enough for good sleep. That's why I love going to my mom's in the summer....I can usually count on her bedroom temp to be at 68* or below. And 68* is what is suppose to be the best for your body.

The reason people sleep so well after taking a bath or shower at night is that the water heats up your body, and as you sleep, your body core cools. Hard to do that here in AZ. I can't afford to run the A/C that low at night. I love winters cause I can sleep with the windows open. When I go home to my moms...we sleep in the same room cause she has twin beds...we always sleep with the window open even if its 0* outside. I've always done that since I was a kid, and I love it :D

Oh No Elizabeth...woman attacked by rogue rooster on the run...see new at 10 :o

(((Harmony))) Ooohhh I wish I could just twitch my nose and make it all better for you!!! I am so sorry you're still feeling so miserable.
Seems like my uncle went through an episode like this and it was diagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome. He got over it, finally, but I know it took a long while. (((BIG HUGS))) & prayers for you.

OH MY, Elizabeth!!! Ooohhh.... I've always felt sorta skittish around chickens/roosters/etc and now I know why!!! Fortunately I have no opportunity to be around birds of any type... and I know that Harriet's little ladies are NOT going into attack mode or anything... but still... OUCH. * shivers *
Did you by any chance watch Hitchcock's The Birds as a young child? I did and I think it scarred me for life. ;)

Well, how nice of Cowinkie to serve as a personal shopper for OKay! WTG!

Any day the vacuum runs is NOT a wasted day, Kathryn. I wonder when I will EVER vacuum again. I fear we are beginning to kick up dust like Pigpen in the comic strips...

IKWYM re: salespeople, Harriet. You are exactly right.

Sounds like things are going smoothly, MT!
I agree w/your comments to Elizabeth, too, btw.

WTG on the jogging, helia!

I exercised last night, but not tonight. * sigh * Tomorrow I'll get in approx. 2-mile walk (roundtrip) to/from ballgame.

I hope that condo is not a wreck when we get there... I don't think dsisil has NOT been down there since dnephew moved out... and dnephew is not a HORRIBLE housekeeper, but he IS a boy... so... just hoping bathroom is bearable, etc.

Waving to ALL of you!!! I miss being able to keep up w/everything, and I feel sooo bad about "ignoring" so many in my responses... I had forgotten how difficult the school year IS! I think I've got 33 weeks to go... ;)
Tomorrow is another day.

Oh no! ((Elizabeth)) Still bleeding after an hour. . . He must have done a good job. I have friends who do not like chickens b/c they grew up with them and they remember being attacked by them, maybe the roosters? I wish you could meet my 2 hens, who are nothing like that rooster. They love people. :) They are friendly and curious. Out of the coop, their greatest misbehavior is running and hiding under bushes to evade capture. . . . Whenever anyone is outside in the yard, they try to get their attention - probably wanting tasty table scraps - and when you're in their coop, they stick right by you. They've never pecked at anyone. They are messy, I won't deny that. . . .

I got my Hebrew binder and my moms group binder for this year put together! My 6x6 is complete. 7x6 if you count the chicken coop clean up job. I'm tired. I'm going to bed.

Tomorrow is supposed to be 75 and clear, perfect weather!

((Elizabeth)) in some breeds the roosters can be very aggressive. The hens of the very same breed/flock may be completely pet. He probably wouldn't have attacked a known person, but then, even they may not be immune. Are you expected to do this again? If so, you need thick jeans and a walking stick, plus maybe some pointers from the owner.

It's amusing to me to hear helia tell the very gentle ways her hens are "bad". Here, the worst behavior is Cicely fussing at us and fluffing out her feathers to protect her "nest" of zero eggs when she's broody. She's back to normal again, btw, eating lots.

I will tell Elizabeth our family bad-rooster story to make her feel better. Mean rooster was becoming our non-favorite already when he took to attacking dd32 (then maybe 12) when she looked the eggs. I would offer her strategies for getting away every time this happened, but it kept happening. One day the rooster foolishly pulled this stunt when her daddy (my late dh) was at home. She came running in to her daddy this time, sobbing and crying and begging protection. He always had his rifle scoped in perfectly, and without letting the flock know he was even watching, he leaned out the back door and put one bullet through the roosters' head, the end. He turned around to see dd with her jaw hanging open. Not to lose the daddy-daughter educational opportunity, he said, "And that goes for BOYS, too."

Harmony, I think I shared with you that HRH doesn't need his CPAP machine when he uses the wedge to elevate his head. Actually, the machine is not so loud. What he hates about it is that he has some claustrophobia, and you must have the face-thing over your nose, or sort of nose/mouth, and of course it is attached by a hose so that drags over your face, too. He says in the night he can awaken pretty spooked by it all.

SuzLew is pretty knowledgeable on CPAPs, I think. I'll bet there are much easier ones out there.

I know exactly how you felt. Complete with the leaning while gassing the car. And I use the cart in the grocery store as a walker.

You need to put jelly beans in your car to help boost energy. (Don't if you are diabetic!) But the sugar kick really seems to help.

When I went for dh tonight I was going to use them, but remembered to finish off the super sweet grapes instead. I put them in a cup and had that in the cup holder of the car.

It didn't rain on my way to get dh. The arrivals pickup area was jammed with cars so I went through once, the circled around to the departure level (upper deck) and phoned dh. He was just picking up his bag so I told him to come upstairs and go out the US departures door and he'd see me. I was one of 3 cars up there. It is a trick ds learned when picking us up - at night there are only a couple of departures after 8 p.m. so that area is deserted, while arrivals is packed. You can sit up there in the car and wait and the parking enforcers won't tell you to move because they are all downstairs dealing with the crowd of cars at arrivals.

Drive home was easy on me since dh drove. He showed me his new Galaxy Note when we got home and I played a bit with his old phone (the first Google Nexus phone.) We'll factory reset it and then install it with the things I want and replace my Palm Pilot at long last.

I'm still wired after napping so late but I'm back in bed with dh so he can go to sleep. He's asleep, I know because he was rubbing my leg and he's stopped. He wouldn't stop if he was awake, I have him too well trained for that!
