Done again, and very, very happy to report that my screw back diamond earrings finally turned up after a perhaps two year hiatus in a box where I kept mostly junk jewelry jammed together. :? I always thought they were at home somewhere. Of course, in recent years dh has inflated their value and size - they are a lot smaller than he thinks!

On the old house, we counter-offered back yesterday, and got a counter offer back this morning. I'd take the offer we have right now but dh wants $3,500 more to make the number which he says he's had in his head as his bottom line. So I just talked to the realtor and have a call in to dh now. :? (Updated to talked to dh, we'll talk more. Words about going to temple tonight so I guess I'll go?)

This round:
-two emails I've meant to send all week
-reboot laundry
-sync and update my iPad
-another 15 minute segment on MBR and closet
-shape challah to rise

Planner got it for refill paper.
Jean quilt / put it on dson's porch as he asked for one eons ago it was $1.00 and will be great for camping, covering furniture to move ect.
Basket w/ handle that has a lid to cute not to get for kiddie purse
or transporting chicks who knows!
Deviled egg plate plastic so I do not have to worry about it breaking.
a bit of yarn.

Did finally got my flu shot today. The nurse that gave it to me was talking about learning to knit that gave it to me it just so happened that I had a book and some knitting needles to de-clutter from last weeks finds I sorted out what I wanted and let the rest go and took 'em in to her!

I had zero luck finding paint brushes at the $1 store, had to get some at w-mart.

Smokey here blowing in from the wrong direction making me think twice about going outside to paint, walk or anything! If I do thinking about a bandana over my nose & mouth. This does not bother me as a rule but it's bad out today! Ack worst it's been all week. Maybe I'll just move stuff so I can turn on the sprinkler in the back.

Forgot my insulin so just got deli chicken and pumpkin bread to go and had a yummy lunch when I got home.

Kathryn, Good luck on those tests, levels, and everything!

Nancy, It's good you got a flu shot. Sorry you forgot your insulin. DH is diabetic, but takes a drug study weekly injection. We don't know what it is, since it's a blind study, but they're thinking it's a form of insulin. They don't know yet, when it'll be on the market. They keep doing studies, perfecting it, etc...

Twins' Mom, It's VERY happy news that your found the screw back to those earrings! Good luck on the counter-offer things, too.

Harriet, How many things will you be upholstering? more than one piece of furniture?

Helia, I hope the repairs won't cost too much.

On my PODA, I washed and dried the towels, but need to hang/fold them yet. I scrubbed the 3 toilets and walked 30 minutes. Some was walking while I did the Epsoms salt heat pack on my ear, so I'm doing 2 things at once. At least I got my 30 min. in. I thought  it'd be good to use my recumbent exercise bike, since I was warmed up from walking. I put in the settings and ended up biking 2 min. instead of 20! But those 2 min. were all I could manage! I rarely use my bike, so decided to slowly build up like the podiatrist and PT gal said to do. I have only left to do on the PODA is reading and writing.

My Ta Da is:
1- washed towels
2- wrote deadline dates for seasonal stories in my day runners for 2012 and 2013.
3- putout hot spots in the great room area
4- did some stretching because I felt stiff.
5- I walked a total of 30 min., broken up into 2 walks.
6- I put a blanket away.
7- I tidied up the bedroom.
8- I did my heat pack to my ear
9- I read my devotion, prayed for others and myself.
10- I scrubbed 3 toilets
11- I tidied my office a bit, except for one small area with some papers to find places for.
12- I tidied up the spare room, just a little bit
13- I got a recipe and 2 comics together for a pen pal and wrote her a letter, which is going out now, as DH leaves now to the mailbox.
14- I washed a load of pastels and whites, which are drying now.

I feel sick from the antibiotics, :( so won't be doing much the rest of the day, except helping DH get laundry put away and reading mail, on magazines and books. My ear, neck and scalp are normal colored, so the Cellulitis has gone from those parts. I'm so happy, but just feel so nauseous. DH says, "Well, that's what antibiotics are supposed to do! Kill everything!"

I was at the school until 3:25. The uniforms had not even been organized and put in the closet cupboards, so I did that first with some of the orchestra parent volunteers. I was able to pull all the dresses and maybe 1/3 of the tuxes for the bands, so I need to go back. Then, I went home, wrapped a small gift for dfriend S, and went to her house, where the mothers of the girls Bible study group were supposed to meet early to assemble a bday basket for S. Dfriend in charge of the basket was late, though, so I waited for about 15 minutes to sign the card. Thank goodness S was late too. . .

Since I'm not working yet and have an open schedule this fall, dh would like me to join him on a work-related trip to Boston and Toronto in early Oct. I don't want to miss the moms group since I'll be teaching the following week, so I don't think I can join him for the Toronto bit. Boston would be only 2 days, and I wonder if it would be worth it? He's going to check time details. He says he can get a companion ticket for not very much. Just writing this, I feel like the spirit of Kathryn must have entered my body. We spent a little time chatting about this.

Dh and I are going jogging in about 20 minutes. I think I'll check laundry.

((Ivy)) Glad it sounds like your ear is healing. Yuck with the nausea, though.

I love finding lost things, Twins.

How kind of you to give away your knitting things, nancy. Why is it smoky where you are? Fires nearby?

I need to first find someone who will repair the walkways. I hope that is not difficult. Otherwise, we can ask our contractor guy.

OK, do I get a star? Had my mammogram & bone density this afternoon. (No co-pay for either btw). I don't so much dread the mmamo as I do the pain & issues with my arm. My body had finally stopped it's incessant shaking following the test when the tech came back & said we had to re-do. She was very sweet & gentle as Possible. I was a tad nervous until she said if we don't get more this time we'll call it good enough. 2nd time was better and everything normal. The bone density left me with pretty strong back spasms so had to wait for a while before going to my car. At least it's done -thanks for the push.

Now I'm celebrating with pizza.

Oh, btw, found dh's keys. On way out stopped in looked in his Cushman cart -there they were in the cup holder! :P

Stopped too & made a hair appointment for tomorrow morning. So a successful day!

If I was Harriet I'd produce a star but I can't figure out how to do so. But you do deserve one so here' my acknowledgement of your efforts today.

I'm up from my nap. Dinner is started but won't be ready for a while. I need to search for the kitchen table. Ds is here so we need to eat at it, rather than in front of the tv.

That was perfect, Kathryn! I'll wear it like a crown. After all DDIL#1 has gone through with stage 4, agressive breast cancer I feel very blessed and did it in her honor today. She's at just about the 3 year mark since she was diagnosed. She just had a PET scan so we're all breathing a little easier right now.

Sky's getting dark again and now there's rain forecast for every day for the next 3. Poured while I was in W mart this afternoon and was raining a little less when I hurried to my car. Not a drop here however.

Figure dh will call me when he gets time tonight. Not going to call him. He didn't even know I was going for the mammo or bone density. I didn't want him wondering about the outcome when he was so far away. Will tell him tonight that it's done and all is well. That should be good news for him. There's so much of it in our family (as I'm sure there is in a lot of others here). DH himself is now a 49 year survivor (Hodgkins Disease -from the day when he was given 8 months). Then there's ddil and dgs19, dh's dad, my Mom. So each day is truly counted as a blessing. I'm thinking of having a big celebration next year when he hits 50. Wonder if I can pull it off...... :?

I will ask my Dr. about the thermography, Harriet. I'm sure it would be easier on my body. Can't believe how badly my body shakes -starting with my arm. Think I had the poor tech scared. I might have to go to a different site for that to happen, but that's okay. We have a big teaching hospital in the city where a lot of that sort of thing happens. Asked today when I had to come back and she told me a year. DDIL fell into that spot where the advisement had come out for less frequent mammograms. That's about the time she had pain from the gymn at work and they discovered her cancer. So much for that theory. She was early 40's at the time. If she hadn't had pain, she never would have gone for probably another year.

Hi again everyone! I am just about to leave payroll, where I am getting paid for a change. Come October there will be no more pay because of the lost contract and a contract we didn't win. Stinks big. I have a long list of things to do. I am going to definitely file for a reduction in child support. Zero income should result in lower payments. I will still have to pay half of her daycare and medical expenses, but it will be significantly less. I have got to get back to the job hunt. I have just sent off a resume to a friend who offered to critique it. It would be sensible of me to go to bed early. I hope I will do it.
