sorry it took so long to come back

I am cooking a beef bourguignon spelling? for my dmom's freezer over night.
and a bunch of other stuff for meals this week. The tenderloin is done, meatloaf is cooking, dishes are washing,
I will make beets, carrots roasted, and mashed potatoes next
I do want to make apple muffins or oatmeal cookies for dd's lunch.
I need to make soups tomorrow as it is too much for me today. tomato, potato and leek will be made for freezer,

I will cook in the morning.
the scarecrow is for the tree d ivy. It is a cute witch that says don't text and fly and she gets caught up in the tree with her broom. dd's still love that type of thing.

I got home around 2 p.m. and took a little nap. DD got me up before she left to help load her car, so I got to say goodbye to her twice. DH just called - he went to ATL to see ds today and take him meds and he is on his way back home.

For some reason I need to clean the kitchen again, when I just did that yesterday. I did just load all the dirty dishes into the dishwasher and get it started.

Standard Sunday... I get to sleep until I wake up. It's the only day of the week I don't hear the bzz bzz bzz of the alarm clock. Dh gets up and watches all sorts of religious programs.

Science... hmmm... how to fit 21 days worth of clothes and stuff into 2 suitcases and 2 carry ons. Is that science or math?

Today's project... cleaning out "linen" closet. We have one shelf of towels. The other shelves are health and beauty aids. The towel shelf is fine. The others... not so much.

I'M HOME!!!!

So far I've got the TV reset, Kindles and Nooks in and computers set up.

I will probably bring in my pillows and that will be about it until morning.

The 303 bypass around the west side of Phoenix is being turned into a 4 lane freeway. So we had 12 - 15 miles of construction. A bit dicey on the nerves.

But my big chair was there and I've got all the window padding (to keep out the sun) down and packed away. Fridge is cooling but I won't bring in food until morning.

Will be off to see friends at 5 pm for Sunday nite ice cream. TT til tomorrow.

Yeah, pretty much a standard Sunday here. Church, then SS hour, during which dh and I did our skit to roars of laughter from the kids and adults too. :) That was fun! I suppose the skit involved some "science" in the form of cooking disasters. Then, we had quick lunch at a new-to-us restaurant with dfriends, including the one I've complained about here before. Once again, no obnoxious kid bragging! So nice. . . Then, we went to their house to pick up Pepper, then swung by the church to pick up dd14 after her small group and en route home. At home, I have relaxed for a bit and set some chicken boiling for soup. I have done a little research and reading for my teaching and have taken the chicken meat off the bones. I have also said good bye to dh who is off to Cali for a couple days.

Next: I will walk to Whole Foods for some bread to go with the soup for tonight. Then, I'll finish the soup. Ds will be eating with us tonight; he ate with us last night too. He is on fall break but is staying in his dorm. Currently, he has one of our cars and is off at robotics. S and R ate with us last night but are not eating with us tonight.

Woohoo MT!! Love the idea of Sunday nite ice creram!

WELCOME HOME, MT! :D

Helia, Your standard Sunday sounds nice. :)

CathyS, It's nice to have a day like that to sleep until you wake up, isn't it! :)

Twins' Mom, How long do you keep your plants on the porch for? :?:

Kathryn, I hope you'll get some rest now. :)

Nancy, Enjoy the dgkids for the rest of the day. :) How are the hens? :?:

Waving hello to blessed. :) Waving to BookSaver, Scattered, and Harriet, too. :) And Cowinkie! ;)

Hope you're feeling better, Dee, and got laundry done. :)

I had a rest. On my PODA, things I did not do were to write letters or crochet, but I walked 1/2 hour, did 1 load of laundry and read. I hung up some clothes, wrote a new OMM list, read my devotion, outlined a story, set the dawn simulator, rinsed out the washing machine from washing bathroom rugs yesterday, got out clothes, and decluttered for 30 min. So now my "Act" box (1 of them!) is empty.

It's fun to read everyone else's standard Sundays, too. Have a great evening. :D

Did get my laundry done - 2 loads of coloreds. Tomorrow I have to do a couple of loads of whites, sheets & towels. It's the last day the laundry room will be open. It's the laundromat in town from here on. (Hate it!) Clothes are folded but need to put them away.

I ran into C World and spent my $10 coupon (it's 8 miles from us). Also had $150 yet in gift certificates -so $76 worth cost me $12. Now to figure out what to use the last $100 on before we head south. They have to be used by the end of the year and I don't want to spend them in FL and have to transport back here.

Am feeling better -but my nose has run away with me today!

I've eaten odds & ends for dinner -low cal. Was going to give dh chili but remembered our friend sent him home with goulash yesterday so have warmed that for him while he showered. He just walked on the deck.

Nice out today -about 72 after 29 yesterday.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!
