A Special Sunday

I'm very late to say so, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OKAY!!!

Taught SS for dbil
And we have had dgs since about noon. DS will be in probably around midnight to pick him up.
Dgs & I took a nap together, then went to visit my dparents... then w/dh, went to visit dmil & then to the nursing home to visit dh's aunt, and my great-great aunt! First time she had seen dgs, and I think it really brightened her day that we would come by to check on her.
Dgs fought sleep diligently, but he is now quiet in his bassinet. He'll probably awake for another bottle in another half hour or so, and then he should be out for the night -- at least till ds arrives, anyway.
I've also washed two loads of clothes today, and washed the few dishes that were dirty & all the bottles dgs has used since he got here.
Now next Sunday... good gracious... if we keep him Friday night, and make a trip to college town and come home after a night game... then ddil is just going to have to be on her own Sunday.

Harmony, How long will you have your DGD? Swimming and bubbles sound fun for her, too!

Helia, That's great about your race! I'm glad the weather cooperated, too! I'm glad this one was better. Sorry about being nauseous at one point though. It sounds like fun. I'm glad you got in a little nap, too.

Harriet, Wasn't that story wonderful? :?:As soon as the little guy injured himself and he was in the hospital, all his classmates wrote cards and signed a big poster for him. It was amazing how many surgeries he had and then later his folks were on the news with the story of the Saint and the Pope, etc... It's amazing that (I believe) she's the first Native American Saint now. The boy took Communion from the Pope today, too. It was just wonderful news and to know he got to live after all of his suffering from that flesh-eating bacteria. I believe a basketball hit his upper lip, on his mouth and this is where his entire ordeal started.Im so glad he lived and made it.

Your HRH and dstepson have been so busy.

Oh, today DH watched 1 football game and then he and I watched 2 old movies, while I crocheted and wrote out Christmas cards, and it was the complete opposite of yesterday! Your HRH is funny to answer "Joe's Pool Hall" that way.

My ta da:
- Did 2 loads of laundry
- Addressed, signed Christmas cards
- Crocheted on a grson's Christmas afghan
- Spent time with DH watching old movies today

Now he's got "The Thing" on, made in 2011 and they're in Antarctica. It sounds so spooky already and it's just starting.
