Thai food.....mmmmmhhh..... that is one of my favorite types of foods.

Harriet - this is a long shot, but DMIL dogs have EATEN two of her hearing aids over the last 4-5 years. She now puts them where they are not accessible to any animal in the house when she takes them out of her ears. Wondering if your DCat would have played with/eaten it.

LO and I delivered a big flowering Mum to DMIL after picking him up from school. She was thrilled.

On our way home I made an Interesting discovery.....there is a slew of construction equipment parked on a piece of land we own........ parked without our permission on our gravel driveway. The equipment is lined up all in a row about 1/4 mile deep inside the gate.  Wonder what they would do if we decided to put a lock on our gate? I'm thinking they would suddenly decide they need to ask the owners permission! I've always been told that possession is 9/10 of the law.....so does that mean we now own a couple million dollars of construction equipment??  DH and I discussed how we wanted to handle this and came to an agreement. We are sure his brother told them they could do it (and yes, he probably acted as if it was his land). Some things just aren't worth the hassle. We would have given permission if they had asked - so we are going to ignore it.......for now.

Next up - prep/serve supper (bbq brisket sandwiches, chips, pineapple chucks/whip cream/chocolate syrup)

I think now, Helia, that I've seen something about a possible hurricane forming and this bad weather being a result of that? Don't quote me -I could be all wet.

Just printed off our 'closing' list. Fortunately there's quite a few things I was able to cross off. Also made up a form for dh to list his winterizations on. He's been putting them on a fridge piece of paper and he needs to be able to read it better. Also printed out dh's closing procedures for different pieces around the campground -bathrooms, store, etc. I thought he had one, but he said he gave his copy to dcampowner last spring and he hadn't given it back. Uh...that's why it's SAVED on my computer!

DH and I just "voted" by absentee ballot -have those ready to mail in the morning. I'll do that on the way to my Dr. appointment -think there might be a chance she might cancel? Nah.

Had my perm this afternoon -she's always so good to me. Of course I've known her since she was a kid and she's now 47. Last time she wouldn't take anything and only charged me $25 today for a PERM! It's $$ shock when I get to FL because it's at least $70.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIMID AND MANY MORE, TOO! :D

Good Afternoon - Evening, Villagers! :D

Sorry for my tardiness today. It couldn't be helped. I loved reading cuop, too. ;)

Tuesday TaDa's for me are:
- getting my teeth cleaned
- getting referred to a pathologist for the roof of my mouth still looking "suspicious" after 10 months or more. :!: :( :o
- running by the pathologist's to make the appt.
- coming home, totally emotional eating on 1 pumpkin muffin, 1 protein drink, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies, and 1 Costco jumbo size devil's food cupcake followed by a cup of coffee!
- after that, I regained my "composure" to do what is totally therapeutic for me, which is start a load of laundry! :P Now I feel better! ;)
- set the dawn simulator, got out a.m. clothes, put away my purse, put away the new toothbrush and floss from my hygienist.
- put out some fires, read a letter, wrote in my journal, and got out 2 colored pencils because I'm trying to make some cards.
- I need to write a to do list for tomorrow, or get out my cards again or both. :?:
- I have letters I owe, but want to make the Happy Autumn cards to go with them first. (I haven't made cards in ages.) Am rusty! :!:

Everybody have a great evening! Take care and I hope you got some great Tues. TaDa's, too! :D

Know Timid hasn't been around in some time, but maybe she'll get the good vibes from our village and reappear. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIMID.

helia, I think your dd14's choices of free time activities are delightful. It was good of you to accompany someone who was doing something a little out of the comfort zone. It probably made her feel much more confident.

I got a reply from my dd32 for "What are you reading" thread and posted.

OKay, absolutely if it had fallen to the floor the cat would play with it and knock it under something, yes. There's definitely reason to hold out hope, if just because of that scenario. (It could be somewhere BBs travel, lol.) I don't think he would be physically capable of swallowing it, and I doubt it would hold his interest long enough to damage it. He's a bat-the-toy-around kind of pet, not really interested if it doesn't move.

Long day so I put off posting until now.

Got to volunteering at 11 and worked until just after 2. Didn't quite finish but the piece of carrot cake I had to tide me over was waning so I headed off for Costco where I had a hot dog and then did the return. No problem and an apology from them which certainly wasn't required. Getting money back on a 5 month, 1 day old purchase (half without packaging) is amazing.

Found the calendars we need to send out (or at least a compromise since they are only designed in Canada this year, not printed here as well) and bought a nice blazer (completely off the Compact but it will make me happy.)

It was four by the time I got home and I did some work learning the new car (learning how to use the ventilation system in the car since I couldn't figure out while driving) and then vegged online for a bit. Started dinner at 6 and went to nap from 6:30 to 7:00 when dinner was ready.

I've vegged all evening except for refilling the vitamin container.

The more I think about it, the more I need to revamp my whole SHE system so I'll work on that a bit tomorrow. I'll be busy tomorrow if I can get my act together. I hope to plan out my day in detail, literally hour by hour, since that often keeps me on-task better.
