Woo hoo! Woo hoo!
Another big ta-da for me!
* Reconciled the checkbook AND found a $10 mistake IN MY FAVOR FOR A CHANGE!!!
And boy, every little bit helps right now. I don't know if this is a commentary on the national economy or if we have taken on some new insanely reckless spending habits or what, but dh just commented that our bank balance is the lowest it has been since 2009. We're not destitute or anything, but it is obvious that our "cushion" is getting flatter and flatter.
Kinda scary re: retirement, too... but remember, dh's Social Security will begin the same month my salary changes.
SS may not exist for the rest of our lives, but maybe that little boost will get us by for a while, along w/both our retirement checks. And we do have savings that are not reflected in our checking account.
STILL... it IS very depressing to watch that monthly balance go lower & lower every month.
