Hello!

Busy day. I did manage to cuop just today's so far.

So glad everybody seems ok from the storm, and Kathryn back from her trip. Travel safety vibes sent to Dee and Lilac's DH.

Heard from DH's stepmother about news. DBiL's body has been left in the other state for autopsy and prep to come back here. DSiL is probably home by now. Sometimes I will remember it all and a sad feeling comes over. I know this will mean several changes within DH's family.

Yesterday aft. & eve. I sewed quite a bit. Thought I'd feel really bad today but did not, Definitely am feeling a bit better. Today I went to volunteer at church early AM, then to run about 5 errands and back home in the afternoon. Spent a couple hours researching our constitutional amendments on the ballot. There are 11 of them and it took a lot of concentrated effort to understand and decide. I need to research the people next. Hope to vote early with DH maybe Sat.

OKay, sorry about your tooth. Hope it is not as extensive and expensive as the other one was.

See ya later.

((OKay)) Well, thank goodness there are well-educated dentists who know what to do.

chickens chat - helia, wonder if maybe chickens are able to smell paint? I would assume that the odor would only last a little while, though.

chickens chat - May be adding 2 new hens to our little flock tomorrow. Posted about that in Outdoor Spaces but of course something could change. We'll see.
Ivy, there is a predator problem for the current owner of these, too - the only reason she is willing to part with them.

Sunny, glad to hear that your extended family along the coast is okay.

((Harmony and Mr. Harmony))

I'm torn between trying again to early-vote (parking lot was too full before) or just waiting for the traditional moment at our little neighborhood polling place. It's the only chance I get to see a second cousin who is a precinct person, plus dd is used to going with me there, anyway. If there's any way to make a consistent memory for a child these days, maybe we should grab it.

Heard from dh. They are at tonights destination. Tomorrow they will meet up with the 2 guys from up north and head south to Galveston.

Tomorrow I am fixing 2 pans of cavatini and taking it, garlic breadsticks, a salad mix and maybe a dessert to dd2s for supper. I don't want to be at home alone dealing with trick or treaters, so will take my candy out there. Then I can spend time with her taking a ladybug and bumblebee trick or treating. I told her to tell dgd16 that I will have enough food, so that she can invite her boyfriend. They both love my cavatini. Dd2 told me that I didn't have to fix a meal to spend the evening with them. I know I didn't but I wanted to. The boys don't like this meal, so with them gone, it seemed like a good time to do it.

Dd2 is having her car detailed tomorrow, so I will have to help her getting it there and picking it up. At 3:15 the little girls are having a Halloween party and parade at daycare, so dd2 and I will go to it.

Harmony, I am so sorry about your DBIL. That is one of those things that you hear about that happens to other people. That is the same as what happened to my dcousins ds being hit by a hit and run driver. You just never expect these things to happen to someone you love and care about.

I plan on turning on the radio when I go to bed, so that I am not jumping at every sound and scaring myself.

Guess I better try to head that way.

I went down and did advance voting today. I just decided that it made sense, so I don't have to wait in line next week.

 I've been a very, very naughty girl and have eaten too many Reece's PB mini cups tonight.  :( I'm stressed.

OKay, Good luck at the endodontist. The first one I had was an older man, had been doing it for 35 years, he joked and he SANG while he did my root canal! It was fun, believe it or not! I was petrified at this being my first, but I had great entertainment. It's not fun, I know, and I hate the sound of drilling, but a healthy tooth is the bonus. :)

Dee, Glad your internet is still on. I hope you'll have it in the morning, too. It sounds like you're very prepared for your trip, too. You've been so productive. :D

Kathryn, I was curious if you stuck to your schedule today. :?: How's your weather? Anything from Sandy up there? I heard she was heading to the Midwest.

(((((Harmony & Mr. Harmony))))) It's so sad that this happened. :( I think maybe with your sewing quite a bit, it might have helped you feel better? :?: Meaning, nothing will take the pain away, but sewing might have been therapeutic for you.

Sunny, I'm glad your extended family is okay long the coast, too. :D

Harriet, We have coyotes and 1 cougar here. I sure would've loved to have some tame bunnies in a rabbit hutch, but DH said no, because of the predators. :( I asked about a horse, he said I'd break my neck and they're too expensive. :( But I have a cat.

Lilac, I'm glad your DH is at their tonight's destination. I hope they have a safe journey. What is cavatini? :?:

I mended my waist band of a lounge set and hemmed the pant legs of another. I can't believe I actually did it. It's probably penance for eating mini PB cups. ;) I pre-ordered a book coming out Mar. 1, 2013 by Holley Gerth, a religious writer. I like her down-to-earth, honest, writing and her way with words. :D

I didn't dust or dust mop today, as half-way planned, but the last load of laundry is drying and I didn't walk either. :( But I did a lot of walking doing the laundry and puttering around from room to room. I wasn't just sitting in one place for 12 hours. :)

I hope everybody has a Happy Hump Day tomorrow. I'm anxious to see what the starter upper Villager will call Wed. in the morning here at PWYC.
Take care, have a good sleep, and goodnight. :D
