He does that too - but these were chocolate. :D

More dishes done - about 2loads folded. My back needs resting.

DH home now and folding his sox shorts and handkerchiefs.

Don't like using kindle as it doesn't have a comma key and it sometimes changes my words.

Well, lol! And here I thought blessed was blowing kisses -- either to mt or to all of us!! :) I'm with Kathryn - skimming posts can be dangerous -- or interesting.

My morning has been more slow than expected, but I'm telling myself that is OK. I have finished my a.m. routine, collected towels from upstairs bathrooms and kitchen, had devo. time, responded to a couple emails (mostly social), ordered some more gifts - mostly books -- from am a zon, perused some links dsil sent me, and had lunch. I'm waiting to hear from dfriend S regarding what size friend R wears before I go to the mall -- but I'm not sure she's going to get back to me anytime soon, so I may go to the mall (Yikes!!) anyway and just worry about his gift later. We're celebrating with them after Cmas anyway. . . .Alternatively, I can go downtown and get that shopping done instead. . . . .

Beautiful day here, clear and sunny. 40 degrees.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Still cold here, I haven't walked all week because of the weather and the shoulder hurting.

The shoulder is feeling a bit better, Looks like rest and aspercreme are working well on it. But I don't do much with it either. :( :( I feel really bad sometimes, like I feel the aging of my body and I see where I have limits, and thinking I should be able to do more. But hopefully the weather will improve soon and I can at least get out and walk, listen to my music, it always brightens my mood.

Have made lunch. The guys will be back soon. I'm going to take a shower. Do some shoulder exercises again with the hot water pouring on it. Then read and maybe take a short nap before heading into work. It's hectic at work too and that seems to zap some of my energy.

We have a large wall calendar, with funny cartoons about Murphy's law on it. I always like to have humor around me. I usually write my work schedule, and appointments on it.

Great day to all!

More productive day so far. I missed a phone call earlier from dsis' social worker, so have called back to play phone tag. I haven't posted the saga of trying to find an attorney but this morning made contact with one and have an appointment this afternoon - this one specializes in elder law so hopefully a good fit. Dsis' xdh found some SS papers which he scanned and emailed to me this morning so that's a possible lead on who to contact there re: her SSI application, too.

I had my bone density scan at hospital and then went by temple, where secretary is in the office today. I feel germy after being at hospital and then around secretary.

I probably need to leave by 3 p.m. for appointment so I need to get busy right now.

-clear kitchen counters
-empty dishwasher
-start a lol
-get new vacuum cleaner off of front porch (delivered while I was out...)
-check mail, purge junk mail, etc.

Ah, calendaring. I used to use the same calendar that Helia uses and I kept it on the refrigerator for the family, but also kept an online Google or Outlook calendar. Several years back (kids were in HS) I stopped copying it all over to the refrigerator and gave them (ds, dd and dh) access to the online Google calendar. Do you think they ever use it? Their loss. In fact, dh will call me to check the calendar instead of looking it up online. I have Chrome set up to open email and the calendar for me here at home when I go online, and have Firefox set up at the office to do same. I also put dmom's appointments in GOogle calendar and set up her Google account to access her calendar, but not mine. While I'm out and about I can access the calendar on my cell phone, but I typically will get a card and set the appointment up later at home for better accuracy.

Twins: our kids are pretty good about checking our Google calendar and sharing theirs with us. Even dd's godfather can see our family calendar so we can time visits more easily.

I've finally something done - I finished our charitable contributions for the year. This is a task I'm supposed to break down throughout the year (it is a quarterly zone chore) but always do a little bit in the spring, a few at the door, and then a mass number of donations in December. Anyway, it is now all done (except for the paying for it since I put 60% of the donations on credit card.)

I think I'll sweep the kitchen floor next.

Books - you had me cackling like a witch (per BFF/Lurker) since I saw your post while I was on the phone with her. She told me to tell ya'll she was on the way back to work (she is a school bus driver) so she didn't have time to post.

I read all ya'lls posts and feel very insignificant when it comes to calendars. And I love all the Kisses flying around. MT I use the "sitting around eating bon bons" comment all the time... you can tell how old people are by whether they know what a Bon Bon is.

Been a relatively busy day, but mostly on the phone. Talked to BFF for over an hour, then finally got a hold of the Mortgage Company who was calling to offer to drop our rate by almost 3%. Unfortunately, it would involve Mother, I called her and she was resistant... I will have to call her later tonight to discuss it more with her, but it would drop my payment by over $300 which would be really great in my circumstances. Hmmmm may call DAunt to discuss it further.

I have rough cut the pattern and ironed it now need to cut it again then going to cut it out on a sheet and put it together, I am doing this because I am altering the pattern and want to see what I need to adjust before I cut it out of the fleece. I did start to load Agnes for DS13 only because I had to access the sink.

Hello everybody. My wall calendar is the cement that holds my life together. I put all my appointments on there, church events, everybody's birthdays, and important things like business licenses... and when something is at the very beginning of a month I make a note the month before to be sure and look ahead to next month. This calendar hangs in my short hallway just outside my kitchen - which is pretty much life central for us.

Now if I could only get DH to look at it. Underneath the calendar is a bulletin board. I put business cards for current stuff that's happening, appointment cards (cause even though they're on the calendar, the card has the address and phone number). I put my library tickets there too to remind me of books going back...

2013 is not filled out yet. I usually have it done by now. I am using spare minutes to sew instead. I have a year-page-calendar about 5 x 8 by my desk that I use everytime I sit down to write checks or figure weeks for payroll...for some reason I can never remember the date. Our office has a huge year-page calendar above the drafting table. We use that back here.

Wow a novel just about my calendars. They are very important to me.

DH ran out of a supply and I had to go buy something and take it to him....but he is working on a barrier island with no bridge; so had to get stuff and go to the ferry (a big barge), leave heavy stuff at the pier and go park, wait for the barge, put it on, and then drive home; in all 2 hours wasted.

It is dark and has rained a bit. We had some storms last night, some system coming through, not a bad thing except it warmed up like spring again and the house is warm.

I better get back to work. Sorry I did not get to "talk" with everybody much.

Back from the mall. Got gifts for friends' kids in Calif., a gift for dd14, one for ds. I pondered some scarves, but I think I'd rather buy scarves at 10,000 Villages. They will cost more, but the $$ will be supporting developing country artisans who are trying to make a living through their crafts. Ten Thousand Villages also sells fair trade coffee and chocolate - no child labor. We are lucky that we have one downtown.

I still need to buy a couple books for friends' kids in Calif. and then that package will be ready to go!! I'm slowly finishing.

I'm going to go for a jog now. There's no excuse; I don't need to leave with dd14 for another 1:40. It is sunny and clear. I will wear a fleece and a hat to keep warm. I wonder if I can even keep going for 30 minutes?? It has been so long. . . .

I have fixed Bert (my washer) all by myself. :D Now I have a lol of darks with a floral flannel sheet going. I am going to use the floral flannel sheet for my mock-up of the jacket and then I can finish it and send it to Mother. The floral sheet was originally hers, I would NEVER own a floral print sheet, and thought it would be something she could use in the spring/summer as a light jacket. :p Talked to DAunt and she thought that Mother would love it, she also suggested that I call my mortgage company and make sure the guy is legit.

DS13 called and he needs to stay after with his English teacher, :? he also needs me to pick him and the merchandise up.
