Ivy, the boys are almost 6, 8.5 and 10.25, (fractions are important at that age.) They are in kindergarten, grade 3 and grade 5. The 10 year old is developing that age-appropriate attitude (he's very disruptive in Sunday School) and the 8 year old is everyone's favourite. He's really quiet, and tiny (the 5 year old is almost as big) but brilliant. He reads well (even aloud in church) and is very musical. His brother plays drums (and has played with the choir) but has given up lessons, so the 8 year old is taking them, after doing very well in piano (he plays duets with his mom as musical meditations in church.) The youngest is the clown of the family.

The mom doesn't allow screen-time during the week so the boys all play beautifully with each other (oldest and youngest even share a room by choice.) When at my house they play with my 'vintage' Lego. They are polite, appreciative, engaging, and mind me well so I don't mind taking them out for meals or events because I know I won't be chasing after them or dealing with lots of begging for treats. They are so easy to care for, I look forward to babysitting them.

While You Were Sleeping is one of my favourite movies. I watch it each year at Christmas.

Helia: dh is 55. That's why we are so concerned.

Not much progress to report but Sunday's service is finished and I just started a load of laundry. And a cup of tea. When the tea is done, I'll go empty the drying rack so it is ready for the load in the washer now. Then I'll get out fresh towels and put the next load of laundry on.

Kathryn, The ages of the boys sound like great ages to enjoy, too! :D

My grsons are 2 in April, 4 on Sun., 9 1/2, 12 3/4, 14 1/2, 15 3/4, and 16 1/2. They grow up so fast! :!:

Helia, My DH is 71 1/4 and I'm 61. DH's memory's really good! He'll remember things HIS dad and/or mom said when he was a kid or teenager! It's mind-boggling, too! :)

I have problems with mine because of Fibromyalgia and it's called "Fibro Fog", so I MAKE my mind work, to create outlines, make up characters, and write stories. I write a note to myself at the start of the story, "who" who is. Meaning, if I'm the main character POV, I put my name = Gertrude, so I know that when some character's talking to Gertrude, they're talking to ME. If my sister's a character in the story, I write her name = Sarah, or whomever, too, to keep my characters straight. I do this at the top of my outlines, and keep it beside the laptop so I don't/won't forget. :idea:Also, the med I take for Fibromyalgia can cause cognitive problems, but it just makes me work harder.

DH's Nana had dementia real bad and had to go to an Alzheimer's lock-side ward at a facility in elder years. :( It was so sad, but the nurses said she was the happiest patient they had and the nurses always had a smile on their face when they worked around Nana, too. :D

lucylee, I am guessing you are at the movie seeing Identity Theft. I went tonight with dd1, dsonil and dgs18. Dd2 met us there. There are some racy parts but that movie is hilarious. That is the funniest movie that I have seen in a theatre in a long time.

Dd2s dh has a men's benefit auction next week, so he watched the girls so that she could go to the movie, this week. The boys are at a neighbors for a birthday/slumber party. The 2 little girls weren't happy about being deserted by everybody.

Next week Safe Haven opens. Dd1 and I have read the book and plan to go. Dd2 is hoping to go with us.

In the morning dd1 will watch the girls so that I can go see dgs7 ballgame. Then I will watch the girls for dgs8 afternoon game. After tomorrow, they have 3 more games each.
