Whew! What a day.
School was fine... it was the AFTER hours that have been driving me crazy. Holding down the fort is right. I feel like... Andrew Jackson or somebody... it has really been a battle tonight.
First --
Besides the normal school day stuff, I had to
-- call dmom's accountant
-- make haircut appts for dh & myself
-- take phone call from dparents' preacher
And then after school...
Wmart... got dmom's bday gift
Dmil's w/dh
Supper w/dh, ds, dgs (ddil working -- we ate @ restaurant she doesn't like.)
Dparents' house:
-- sort the mail
-- call dmom
-- print "audit trail"
-- dmom says she will have to call me back, has to clean/flush/do something to ddad's PIC (sp???) line.
-- wait wait wait
-- water plant
-- straighten desk, put misc receipts in chronological order(though they probably should be thrown away! I mean, really, who needs to keep receipts to grocery store & S ubway, etc.???)
-- call dmom back -- no she hadn't forgotten me, still busy w/ddad -- but she takes time to talk me through
-- print balance sheet
-- print ... something else... I don't even know what it was...
-- go over mail w/dmom
* FINALLY * HOME *
Tomorrow will be
* keep dgs
* back to accountant
* deposit check for dmom
* post office
* bank
OH -- and one package to dmom -- which includes a book of checks -- is LOST, apparently! AAUAUUGGGHHH!!!!
Zip code was wrong. * sigh *
Oh well... I'll check tracking on that in a minute...
Harriet -- the bank thing. Probably should NOT say so here, but I have been signing dh's checks for as long as we have been married. I don't recall ever having a problem getting cash back. However... as big banks swallow up small town banks... ANYTHING is believable. Dmom left banking after one takeover in our town... daunt left after another.
Waving to all.
