That's good news, Lilac!

Ds dropped by on his way back from the border run. Turns out my Christmas present (beater and pour shield for my mixer) were part of the packages. So I have my Christmas present. Yay!

I sorted our tax chits while he was here, then set up the dining table to work (extra monitor, pens, notepad, etc.)

Then I started dinner and had a snack. Avoidance will only work for so long....

Errands are done. Lots of road construction slowed me down. Had a very good eating day. Have visited my colorist. Helped HRH get some papers in the mail. Took trash to cans. Made a call to a cousin who didn't call back until nearly school run time, so that will have to be done again.

Probably tomorrow will take dd14, her friend and a friend of the friend to the library. Don't know if there will be much more to the outing than that, because friend's mother is recuperating from an eye procedure and probably hopes she won't stay long.

Taxes are mostly done. I'm at the stage now of asking myself if I've done everything correctly. The system says yes but then again it said yes before I remembered that I had a capital loss to carry forward so should be claiming all the capital gains this year. That added $1000 to our return so was worth all the retyping and deleting (entering into my return, deleting from dh's.) I guess I'm worried I've left something in his return that I forgot to take out.

As usual, we get a Audit alert because our medical and charitable receipts add up to too much. The medical is because we pay for Blue Cross drug/dental/semi-private room insurance out of pocket. The warning over the charitable is because we tithe. They've never questioned the medical but for many years questioned the charitable, asking me to mail in copies of the chits (we file electronically.) Now I just prepare a package to mail to them with all the chits so when they ask for the stuff, I don't have dig through the files. Of course, last year we didn't get the request. I'm hoping we won't from now on since our charitable pattern remains the same.

What a day. I woke up early and didn't have time to take a nap -- and it's been cold and drizzly all day again -- so I'm feeling a bit like a grumpy toddler. Will try to go to bed early tonight.

I'm ok on the desk work schedule, completed quite a reasonable amount by lunch time. Ended up having to do a few extra errands in addition to going to WM, and of course WM is always crazy on Friday afternoons. Not too bad, though, because I made it there before the after-work rush hour.

I even took the time to return 2 big bags of bottles & cans so that's some clutter out of the kitchen.

Road work on the route home, even in the rain. I was almost home and then the "check engine" light came on. Just that kind of a day. With a trunk full of groceries and being that late on a Friday, I just finished the 2 miles home. We'll deal with the car tomorrow.

I've been relaxing this evening and watching a couple comedies. Now I think I'll do a little more on the taxes to get those to a good stopping point, and that will help me sleep.

HI everyone! I have finally gotten the ham separated into manageable amounts. Cat care and LOL done. Dinner is eaten and too much reading has been done. I downloaded Open Office, which is FREE and allows me to actually see what is in the database I am working with. This will make debugging much easier. I would like to crochet, but will be doing database work instead now. Bye!

The baby was great today took a nap then fell asleep again after I picked her up out of the play pen and held her in the rocking chair. Then we went out side and she watched from the stroller while I did the chicken chores. We went for a short walk after that. [My foot is mostly better but I'm still taking it easy.]

Good news!!! Granny duty went well Dgson got 100% on his spelling test. He gets to play his ds game as a reward they have found what works for him. He figured out his reducing fractions and got that done after school and all of his home work & was only a couple min. late walking from school.

I cleared off the steps to the kitchen most of them any way so it's an improvement. Mowed the back, tomorrow weather is not supposed to be very good glad I did that because it's already raining outside here now. Thinking of changing my mind about yard sales I was going to attend tomorrow. Winds will be pretty bad around us 50 mph gusts on top.

More good news! We got 6 eggs today the nest boxes were busy today! =D I have granny duty tomorrow evening 4-8 so will need to keep that in mind maybe some crafting might be fun. Still need to move the chicks to the bigger box she can help w/ that but it will not take long.

And even more good news so this for sure is a Fantastic Fri.!
My mom and sis were with out power a couple days b/c of that twister that was in the news a couple of days ago. [Mom has wood heat so I'm sure they were okay and could have went to family if they needed to.]
