Sunny, furniture sounds great! What's wrong with your AC? I thought you just had the whole system redone?

I've been out in the shop helping, then back in to the office project. Thank goodness it isn't all files. It's computer equipment, bins of warranties and information (we tend to keep all that because DH works on all his tools himself) and finished job papers, plans, etc., plus supplies like copy paper, file folders. I just pared down the bag of old tax forms I must keep. People call years later...ah, help I lost my W-2 from 3 years ago and never filed...

I have an "egg crate" file just for the rental house...

The neater I keep this space, the neater my whole office is because there is space to put things. And then the rest of the house doesn't fill up...

OKay, I wanted a rain barrel set up. We can go to a community center and take a class and they help us put one together and hook it into the downspout of our gutters...but I haven't talked DH into it yet. Good luck with yours. What is that type of gardening all about?

No time to cuop.

Errands with friend took 3 hours (she's lonely so stretches these things out.)

I created a google calendar for the surveys the team has to do and dh put it up on part of the church website and I've pointed my team leader and partner to it. Hopefully, they'll either go with it or something similar because we need to see what everyone is up to since we are sharing one access to the meeting software and we need time to play with it.

Dinner was good. We ate early so had time for a tv show.

Dh is at the other church to redirect people here if they go there by accident. I've discovered the minister was taken by ambulance to the hospital today but she's home now and will attend by skype tonight. Her dh sounds like he needs pastoral care. I'll put someone on that this evening.

Coffee is started, water is boiled for tea, plates, etc. are out. Hopefully someone shows up with food, I don't have a thing to serve.

Harmony - I vote for you as being the most organized paper person in the world. I am astounded how well you keep all those papers organized and know where everything is. VBig POTB!!

I came across the Mittleider garden method when i was searching for ideas on automating water system in the vegetable garden. I have tried the soaker hoses and they aren't tough nuf to survive here. Last year the soaker hose lasted about 2 days before >>>something<<< took several bites/chucks out of the hose. I strongly suspect the grasshoppers did it! Watering by hand is enjoyable but very time intensive. The easiest solution would be to call DNephew and have him professionally install a "normal" sprinkler system underground, however I want to be able to move it and adjust the water pattern by what is planted in each bed (rotates on a 4 year schedule). So after TOO MUCH consideration, I'm 99% sure I am going with the Mittleider PVC sprinkler system. It fits all my requirements and is *hopefully* hardy enough to survive for 15-20 years.

I really like my gardening method now. I have tried pieces of several methods (Lazy gardener, square foot, traditional, etc) and combined the ones that worked for me. Someday, I want to experiment with the Mittleider and Back to Eden method of using ground tree (sawdust, chips, etc) and sand instead of soil.......just because I find it interesting and want to compare it to soil....but that will be another year project. I did try the Sq Ft gardening recommended soil combination in one of the beds and won't do that again. It had great consistency (loose and easily worked) however the plants grew better in "normal" soil. Everyone has different results and that is what makes it so much fun to me it is a challenge to find what will work best for my requirements/limitations.

OKay, that all sounds interesting. I wouldn't try the all sand method if it were me. Our soil is practically ALL sand and nothing grows well unless we add organics. This past season DH went out and brought home horse do-do and we're getting more tomatoes than I've ever gotten down here!
Good success with your meeting, Kathryn. One time my small group came and the fellow who was bringing home-made individual cheese cakes didn't show, and I had to get out the chex-mix and peanuts!

Working away on my closet. I got on here to find rules on how long to keep insurance policies (we have completed contract coverage) but that is getting hard to manage so I'm rethinking. I was still logged in here and the site came right up, so here I am procrastinating again!

Had to stop get dinner, do dishes, then DH wanted a haircut. And now I'm back.

Thank you OKay. I'm in awe of you going paperless like you do. I don't know how I'd do that. One policy by itself is over 50 pages. Blueprints are way too big. How would i ever do that?

RE: garden soil. Videos like this one are what causes me to want to experiment. It challenges everything that I have been told. Growing the biggest/best vegetable in sawdust & sand??? That isn't logical......but I'm curious enough to want to try it.

The big blueprints should be available in digital format. After working gazillion years in engineering dept, I am very familiar how fast the blueprints pile up. Over the years almost everything were delivered in digital format. However, the ones who used paper printouts (mostly size D) all their careers didn't want to use digital and would plot out the digital files while they were actively working on the project. But once the project was finished, they would trash the paper copies and have the digital for storage.

The meeting with presbytery reps went long, long, long. Almost 90 minutes.

The board meeting went fast until we were all hit with the news that the minister is resigning. Not due to health. She's received a call from a prestigious church. Happy for her. Worried for my church. Exhausted thinking about it all.

Now I'm going to get ready for bed and try and sleep. Will cuop while brushing my teeth.
