Working Wednesday

My appt for my mammogram was at 10 and I was to be there by 9:30. I was done and walking out the door at 9:53. There are only 2 differences with the digital mammogram. They do not have to put those bbs on the nipples which drove me thru the roof. They still smash them but it appears on the computer screen and is easier for them to see a problem. I am always thankful to hear that there is no problem.

Dd2 and her dh are looking at 2 houses this morning. I am hoping they can find one that fits their needs.

Good afternoon, ladies!

This day is progressing nicely around here. Tree guy has come and gone. He will be back another day. Some of his equipment broke down. But, I am so pleased with what is done. Should be less "snakey" around here this summer.

Bed is made, dishes unloaded, readings done, mail dealt with. Recycling ready to go.

Going to make banana bread next--have 3 nice brown bananas to use up.

Will give myself a manicure, which mostly involves chopping off these nails which grow like crazy.

Should run errands, but the house is so nice with the windows open that I don't want to go anywhere.

Had a lovely chat with dfriend. Since getting home, I've had lunch and started the crockpot with a pork roast that will eventually become pulled pork.

Pepper is willing to play with Maia today, which she was not willing to do yesterday. That is very helpful. She is kind of like our babysitter.

After my UTI last week, I'm trying to remember to drink enough. I've started taking cranberry tabs too. I don't really want to do that again. ..So, I'm working on another cup of water here.

I'm going to try to do some catch up this afternoon. First, I'm going to finish my a.m. routine. I'll try to check in again after that.

Lilac, great news today! Kathryn, sorry your dfriend is doing so poorly.

I don't know why this last batch of bookkeeping took so long, but it did. I had to look several things up. 2 more months done, in the folder for end of the year rush and 2013 taxes.

Gotta keep up or I'll be like OKay, doing non-stop paperwork for days. I wonder how she's coming with it all?

Finished the service and have emailed it. Ate a good lunch. Read the emergency investment docs that came by courier while I was eating. It is a proxy fight and one side is spending a lot of money in the fight. If I had time, I might be interested. But I don't so I'm not.

Now to go for a walk with ds.

LO to counselor appt this morning. He is doing sooo much better. His confidence level is soaring while his anxiety is fading away.

Last night I made a batch of chicken salad so lunch was quick-N-easy to put on the table when we got home.

Puppy is now sleeping so I can leave the kitchen and finish the a.m. routine - make the bed and switch laundry. I started a lol and had some devotional time while puppy-sitting. Maia had another accident this afternoon; we're not doing too well today. It may have happened when I stepped out to gather and start a lol.

Dd17 will be home in about 30 minutes. Having 2 people in the house might help.

This is a slow rainy day here the baby had a dr. visit yesterday 2 shots so have been giving her extra attn. she needs. Left the chickens in the coop b/c of the rain we've had today. I'll let them out if the weather shapes up.
Dgson is coming after school today I think.

Not super productive here today but I've managed to plug away and do a bit of puttering and got through most of the daily morning stuff any way so that's good. Only 44* out now and it's nearly two so we will not even get near our 30* hi. temp. the forecast but at least it's not snowing like it is in the mtns. around us. It's not sticking there however.

This evening is dd14's concert, so she's showering now rather than later, feeling a little nervous, but not too much. So glad we'd found the new lace-collared black sleeveless top, which will be ideal and help her fit right in to the dress code, yet with arms free. She is very confident she will do well in relation to her own group, but of course they are playing in tandem with the advanced classes this time and she has not even met some of them.

Sadie, I'm glad he's enjoying his trip. The only thing I could have shared with him is to grab an umbrella, but no telling when it was/will be needed.

Walk was successful but knee hurts now. Did a round of physio.

Ds and I were digging through the freezer for pork chops but there is only one left. There is pork stir fry meat. Which led to the following exchange:

Me: Do you know how to make Daddy's stir fry?
G: No
Me: ok, I guess we'll have something else.

Couldn't find anything that excited us, settled on pizza.

G: the number's (local exchange) - 3369 right?
Me: I don't know, your dad knows the number.
G: Dad really can't die or else we won't be able to eat!

Tomorrow ds is cooking his chicken stir fry so we'll be fine tomorrow!

Ds did two loads of laundry and just called from the drive to get pizza to ask me to pull it in because it is beginning to rain. So the living room is quite busy right now with laundry draped over things.

Went to put the three towels over hooks in the bathroom and found underwear on the floor behind the door. Harriet will understand why this is very funny. Although it really isn't since that bathroom is also the visitor's bathroom.
