I was also wondering about the stent process so I'm glad Helia asked.

I've given up on the planter and the chair for now. Tomorrow I'll just buy a small set of drill bits so I can at least get the geraniums into the planters, and I'll have to get dh to put the chair together.

Going to work a round here to try to end the day well. I'll have to be out early tomorrow to meet with rabbi at 8:30, then will visit my dmom then hair appt for me and dd.

-empty dishwasher
-final kitchen clean up
-clear kitchen table (again) and breakfast bar as much as possible
-fold lol in dryer and put away
-walk ddogs

This will finish me for the day.

Power has returned. I'm always thankful for those hard working electrical linemen. They have a tough job.

It was too dark to do much of anything inside of the house. I had to use a flashlight to go to the bathroom. I spent the time outdoors piddling in the garden. Everything was soaked so kneeling down (my usual gardening position) was not possible without jeans becoming soaked & muddy. I pretending I was doing some exercises that require bending from the waist and pulled some weeds.

Tonight is a benefit concert for the tornado victims. Hopefully wild storms don't bother the performers. They are all from this state so they should be used to it.

Now that things are kinda back to normal, I want to get my hair colored. DH and LO went to church so I have a couple hours all alone. It is very quiet.

Thank you everyone for clarifying stents for me! I did already know what a stent was as well as its general purpose; I did not know what the insertion ? process looked like in terms of what the patient experiences. And I saw that I misspelled "stent" in my earlier post. That happens too. I think my Dad has a stent, not sure. . . .

Well, this whole day did not go the way I expected it to - at all. Unexpected happenings abounded and many things on my todo list did not get done.

What I DID do this afternoon/early evening in random order:
x I did chat with dneighbor walking by with his dog
x I did spontaneously pick up dd17 from school at 5
x I did finish revamping my resume and reviewed it with dh tonight before he left.
x I did take Maia to her vet appointment
x I did chat on the phone w/ my good friend, B, for 30 minutes. We were going to get together tomorrow, her day off this week, but she can't do that after all - so now we're going to go walk together on Saturday.
x I did get a meal of beef brisket, baked potatoes, and spinach salad on the table
x I did hose down the brick walkway b/c this afternoon, Maia decided to pe* there instead of on the grass
x I did pick up dd15 and friend from drivers ed
x I did make reservations for moms group steering committee dinner out next Monday night
x I did chicken care and threw Iggy, the broody hen, outside the coop so she could eat something
x I did feed 2 canines

Next:
- pick up dd17's script
- pick up dd15 from school (not sure when she's done)
- medicate ddogs; Pepper has an ear infection and Maia needs flea and heartworm meds

I think after those items are done I can relax for the evening.

helia, the berry almond chicken salad is delish. You can get a whole or a half, which is really a lot.

Got another email from dh letting me know he had a wunnerful wednesday.

I got the kitchen floor scrubbed. At long last. That, plus the outdoor work, makes the day wunnerful for me.

The dining table is a disaster because I piled everything from the kitchen table and my desk onto the piles already on it.

My sister called to say she is coming next week but staying downtown. We are free the two days she is here so I can visit with her.

I finally got to the service and got it finished. Each prayer is written or sources separately, and when it was done and I looked over the whole thing it flowed better than I could have imagined so I see my thoughts were guided. Pleased with the result (not quite as much as last week but still pleased.)

Have good ideas for next week (where my service will be integrated with communion and sermon by the Presbytery Minister who is not really a bishop but is as close to a bishop as we have in our denomination.) I'm actually looking forward to working with her and letting her see what I can do as far as service preparation goes. She's the one who recommended me for this church-wide survey so she already has a good idea of what I'm capable of, probably better than I do.

The clippings I put in part of the chickens run is in a soggy wet state now but the chickens did not mind running around in the rain picking up worms or what ever. We did have some breaks the grand kids got to play a bit out side between gushers it's finally stopped now good that it's today instead of this weekend as it's hs graduation.

Dgd is at the other granny's now. Dgson is relaxing the other granny brought his book bag over and his shoes. We are getting a list of food he wants to eat and can fetch when we are at his home doing pet & plant chores.

I need to spiff up the kitchen again I have to admit it looked better.

Today got side tracked cutting up short pieces of yarn for a robin to make a nest with the whole family was involved h. spotted the robin tugging on a piece of twine we use to close the gate with that's tied to the arbor. I'll be nearly 70 in ten years wonder if this will matter?! I can hear it now in the elegy sp? I remember the time grandma helped us cut up yarn and hang it up for the birds to make nests out of where the chickens could not get to it. And then there was Stewie I, II, III, & IV ....
