Oh blessed quiet day! I was up around 7 just after dh left, saw ds off to work and I just dropped off dd at temple to play maj jong and the house is quiet except for these sweet ddogs. I'd like to say I'l get a lot done today but I am just so happy with the quiet.

Helia, at our first house, I realized that a child/teen neighbor was shooting a bb gun off the back deck into the woods when parents weren't home - our house was perpendicular to theirs. I made a discreet phone call to the child, telling him that I would call the police if I heard the bb gun again and that settled it. Hoping for a good recovery for Lilly, poor baby.

I'm not productive today although I'm now dressed, dinner started, dishwasher unloaded and bedroom tidied. So maybe not as bad as I thought.

Dh dropped his computer and is now at doctor. He came back with a weird mark on his hand. He thought it was a bug bite but it hasn't healed in 6 days and although he isn't bothered by it, he thought he should have the doctor check to see if a stinger was still in there since there is a black mark in the middle of it. South American jungle bites scare him a bit. He used bug spray all the time (something he won't do at home) and sunscreen so he did work at trying to keep himself safe. This bite is on the palm, down by the wrist, a place that one doesn't normally thing to cover with bug spray.

I'm going to start work on the dining table. Maybe put on a tv show while I work to keep me from wondering away.

Updated:

Dh just walked into the house. Computer is fixed (unseated RAM), 'bite' was a blood blister. The doctor pulled in a second doctor for another opinion and they decided to cut it out since it wasn't healing. (Second Dr. has done the same hike so aware of possible bug bite issues.) So he's home, healed(ing), car is gassed up and dh picked up the mail. He's had a productive morning. Me - not so much.

Back from that first round of stuff mopped the camper yesterday I just did not have it in me to do that. I mopped inside the house too. Vacuumed the living room, sheets are back on the bed, more laundry is going.
Having a water break now. Chickens have been fed. Journaling done.

Dd has been here to pick up dson and his stuff today already. After they come and do the rest of the paper work and pick up the trailer I'll have some errands to do a couple of stops to make and a call to do.

It's not taking a week to get the place back into shape like I thought it would but I'll need to be doing room by room decluttering again now this month. Car trunk is filling up with donations. Trash is full.

Morning Y'all...

I slept almost 10 hours last night. That very unusal for me. Sweetie said my body must have needed it after my stressful week. I have some desk work to do today and a bit of vacuuming just to keep everything up to snuff. All morning chores done. I want to do some swimming to day, but when it gets this hot its not much fun to do during the day.

I have decided to redo my "box". I think I'm going to design a system that uses a 3 ring notebook. Been thinking about it for a while and now that it's beyond hot outside, designing my "House Blessing" book during these temp. seems like a good thing to do.

Off to watch Perry Mason...It is my mid-morning treat ;-) Cy'all later.........

All the chatter about changing our 'box' is amusing. I, too, have been thinking I want to do something different. Guess it'll wait now for dh's recovering.

Breathed a sigh of relief with Kathryn. Glad that 'bite' is taken care of!

I spent quite a bit of time searching for our Pastor's report. Finally called her & left a message. She just called. Oh no says she -I never sent it. Explains why I can't find it. She sent it to me & it popped up on my desk top as we talked. Love this Windows 8. Long cry from when I first started with it a couple of months ago. Now I can finish up this report. Proof it and send it off to her. There's a lot in there from her at the meeting and I just want to make sure I have it all correct. And I don't want to be thinking about it in the days to come -only relief that it's in someone else's hands.

Dh just took a car load of cans into the recycler. Think that will pretty much be his last activity of the day -so he says. He does need to get these disability papers up to the office before the secretary leaves for the day. He won't be in any shape after today to do them.

Just heard back from DS-A -says he'll be at the hospital in time to meet with the Dr. in the morning as well. I'll be very much relieved when he's on the road to recovery and back in a regular room -out of ICU.

Edit at 2:06 -YAY! I think I'm finally done. Think that's the longest I've ever worked on a particular minutes segment. I'm weary now.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I'm not getting anything done today. I napped for 1.5 hours - this after 9 hours of sleep last night. Just because the house was quiet I suppose. Haven't done much on a.m. routine so....
-make the bed
-clear kitchen table
-clear/wipe kitchen counters
-straighten great room
-start a lol

Next round done! Errands and such, paper work is done on the camper.
& it's gone now. Today the next door neighbor's got their bro. to take out the old moldy junky-looking one from their house before the Realtor comes also.

Washer twins are quiet so I need to get them started again.
House looks SO much better.

I took stuff in the trunk to the thrift shop, asked about old camping cookware that was blackend from fire use said that the would take those and could give them to the homeless as long as the inside were okay for cooking in. I was a bit surprised by that so I don't feel bad about giving my yd. sale finds that I'm done with now. Time to see about rounding up the beginnings of another bag it might go into the truck this time. We are going to the habit store soon.

8-) Weather is sunny nice and warm and I'm missing the shade the car got from the camper being next to it the car was already hot this morning when I got in it before ten a.m.

I was happy that h. remembered the spare to the trailer so that's out of the back of the truck now yea!

 I got a graph mead comp. note book for dgson to draw his tanks and army stuff in b/c one of the class mates stole one of his drawings. At least this way they can tell it is his. He's good in art so I said he can try doing three a day but to draw some thing else as well not just tanks war stuff.

Lunch is done.
I found a nosle sp? for the hose I've been looking for they were out. Glad they had some this time.

I have my B.W.P. stuff in my note book to X off when I'm done with those for this mo.

No kids here today so I'm enjoying some solitude might need to mow as that is some thing I like to do when no kids are here.

DD will probably be home soon. We're supposed to do some work on her room, which (with pardons to OKay) looks like a tornado hit.

-get the mail and process
-straighten up MBR
-process two loads of dry laundry so she will have the washer/dryer without obstructions
-refill meds for the week
-process/scan 10 pieces of paper from my never ending stack

I've been busy as a beaver this morning.

After finishing AM cards, I started rotating through Dishes, Duds, Dinner and Desk. I was only able to complete a couple rotations before turning my attention to other matters. DMIL stopped by for a visit. Paralegal called four times this morning to ask questions and requests information. I've answered her questions, prepared a spreadsheet of information & email to her. LO's court appointed lawyer wants to meet with him, so that appt has been set.

Lunch was cooked, served and in process of being cleaned up. DH and LO declared it wonderful. :) Always a pleasure to have satisfied diners.

We are inviting FNG to eat with us this Friday night. I'll be cooking for 16 people so I'm starting to develop the details of that meal. Menu, grocery list, serving dishes, etc etc etc. I will be gone from home at least 5 hours on that day so need to do as much as I can beforehand.

This week focus deep cleaning is LO's bedroom Whooo boy! What-a-challenge! The toys have creep out of their places and taken residence all over the floor. Today I've stripped the beds and washed everything. Also washed LO's stuffed animals. That stuffed zoo of animals are currently finishing up drying outside.
