I'm having a 'lower' day today than yesterday. Less energy so I'm sitting on the balcony, reading. Dh and ds went out to a movie so I had dh took me for a walk before he left.

I'm trying the day off pain killers and suspect that's why I'm feeling more down. No pain, just malaise and discomfort. I took one advil and should have taken two. Dh suggested a narcotic. I'm trying to get off them because of the itching and the metallic taste which upsets my tummy.

I need to work on remaining "must dos" for today:
-gas the car
-buy milk
-call about dog meds
-p/u dog meds
-remaining paperwork for dsis
-prep for temple board meeting this evening
-figure out how to get stuff from niece and nephew to take to my dsis tomorrow

The biggie is the meeting this evening. I'm very antsy because a member who is quite critical, who also has indicated some interest in being president after me has indicated that she is attending. Now she may not follow through but I feel very antsy. I feel like I don't compare very well to her - she has chaired several large community boards and is well known in the community, if not always well liked. As I said, very critical. Based on what she says about other people in temple leadership, she's probably said much the same about me.

Short trip today. Stomach is queasy and wind was making the rig rock and roll. Not a good combo. So I convinced DH to stop at the 102 exit after starting at the 22.

We have full hookup, wifi and cable tv. And the rig is sitting still. What more can I ask for?

Sounds good to me, MT. For me -I'll be glad when we can stop running the pump outside. Know dcampowner set it up before he left for FL over a week ago. We're still running it most of the time. It shut off (ran out of gas) at 1:45 this morning. Thus I think my sleep interruptions. (And dh's). He stopped taking his pain meds yesterday too, Kathryn for much the same reasons and today he's really feeling the discomforts. Did convince him to take 2 t ylenol a while ago.

Rode around the campground in the golf cart with dd -she picked up wood left by weekenders. Has a nice pile of campfire wood. Dh has bought a cord for ds-R and her each summer so they do have a good supply for the year. We don't bother as we can go up there for a camp fire for a little while.

Very cloudy day. Managed to pay the car and RV insurance today. Was going to ride in but it's a ways.

Warming cabbage & kibalsa for lunch. Not sure what we'll do for dinner. Trying to use up what we have on hand and start from scratch.

Nancy - Another vote for Lenovo. My main laptop is over 4 years old and still going strong. I haven't found anything that it can't do.

If I get into a tight (need a computer RIGHT NOW) then I will just go to Sam's and buy whatever they have available. However, I prefer to get another Lenovo. Hum....thinking outloud.... I'll probably do that in the next couple of months and pass this Lenovo to DGS16.....and DGS16 laptop (an older one of mine) to LO.

I made HUGE progress this morning in the desk paperwork. LO was content playing nearby so I just keep working.

Lunch was excellent. Grilled hamburgers. Anything cooked outdoors just seems to taste better.

Next up - LO to weekly library reading/craft

Hello Dear Ladies,

Sunshine here.

Have done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen counters. I timed myself and it took 90 minutes to clean the counters and microwave, stove top, took the toaster oven apart and scrubbed the grills and bottom tray. Took most things off the counters and cleaned the counters and the appliances that were there. Everything needed a good cleaning as the guys use the toaster over for lots of things and the bottom pan was terrible. they don't usually wipe up after themselves and the counters were sticky. I didn't realize how much time was involve in cleaning the kitchen. Made lunch for Dbrother and me.

Have brown rice cooking now. I cook up a bunch of it and use it in different things. It will be something Dbrother can eat too.

Going to shower now and then maybe read awhile. there is lots of work to do but I need a break from it too.

Tomorrow will be bathrooms.

Thursday will be floors.

Great day to all!

My day is not going as planned. So, what else is new? I did get my a.m. routine done this a.m. Then, I got sucked into some studying and reading and journalling on moms group teaching team assignments. Had lunch. Then, I took dd17 to go rent a viola, one of her summer projects. I am just back from that errand and now realize I forgot to make a phone call yesterday; should do that + 2 other DPCs, one of which I've been procrastinating for about a week. It will feel good to get those done. But yardwork is not getting done. . . . I'm going to leave around 4:45 to stop by Tar-jay before picking up ds from work. Then, it is my turn to go out to eat with dd17. . . .

Wow! We were sitting on the deck and dh had just mentioned there was a hummingbird at the feeder. As I looked toward our berm (because I heard a very loud sound), he said, "No, the other way". About then dd shouted, "Dad, get inside!!" I never saw them, but heard them & dd & dh saw them -a swarm of bees about 45' wide. Dh is extremely allergic to them. They evidently turned and went another direction. Thankfully! Sure we would all 3 have been 'allergic' to that many bees!

I've been copying some recipes from FB that we wanted to save. But now I can't seem to find the ones we had saved over the past several weeks. Guess I'll hunt some more.

It's just dh and I for dinner tonight. Not sure what we're going to have, but he's talking about going to a nearby restaurant. So maybe it's whatever's on the menu.

He's beginning to get a little 'stir crazy'. His mind wants to be back at work but of course his body is nowhere near ready. Figures it will be September before he goes back. Wondering how that's going to go because I know he will be on 'light duty' for a while. Can't go right back to digging, raking, pulling, etc.

Wow, Dee. 45' of bees. SO glad you got out of their way

SUCCESS! Well, sort of. .. .I made my 3 DPCs, but I had to leave 2 messages. If I'm going to make DPCs, I'd prefer to get them done and over with in one sitting. Result of the one connected call is that I'm going to have lunch with an acquaintance from church tomorrow. I believe she is mentally ill and she has a care team at the church, but she had asked me at church on Sunday if we could have lunch this week, and of course I said yes. She is a big sweetheart! She and I were in a church women's Bible study together for many years.

10 minutes before I need to leave. . . .Hmm..... I guess I'll go tidy something.

I'm not to the stir crazy point yet. Just want to rest all the time.

Finished reading the book I started on the weekend - Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling. I never read the Harry Potter series so this is the first I've read by her. It was just what I needed, quick reading, short chapters, more like a soap opera than a novel.

Dh is back from the movie. I've had my first 'dinner' and might go for a nap now although I might get dh to take me for another walk. Not feeling strong enough to walk on my own yet.
