I have not been able to post much from the pc today I am doing updates. Ever since I put in drop box it's been acting wierd. Ack! Glad I have this tablet. Thinking of Dee.

Almost Afternoon Greeting, Villagers!

This time, I:
- decluttered the trash from around the house
- I did yoga/stretches, walked 30 min.
- did a few sit-down hoe-downs
- scrubbed toilets
- am drying the laundry
- updated a meds/supplements list for dr.
- wrote a 4 x 6"index card for dr. for physical next week
- set my dawn simulator
- played around with my calendar to have fewer reminders (want to depend on the SHE cards more)
- had a snack/antibiotic

Soon, DH will be back from the woods, will shower, eat, get the snail mail, and watch TV. It's very hot, so he'll be tuckered out.

I plan to crochet and work on writing out my cards this afternoon, will do more stretches, as the back pain is worst.

Lilac, the room sounds delightful. I love Raggedy Ann. ♥

Ivy, Nope don't feel any older, just old! (I was thinking about that last night.) My knees are really acting up today so there's a disconnect between my energy level and my physical ability.

Booked our flight to LA in January.

Vacuumed basement.

Went through my preaching books to find the ones people taking the local course need and pulled those from my library. I have someone to pass them on to.

Since this is a low impact job, I might catalog my library so next time I can answer questions from my laptop without having to go to the basement, searching for books.

The 13 miles of The Tail of the Dragon has 314 curves. No wonder the guys decided to just ride it one direction.

Went to run my errands awhile ago before it rained. Didn't make it home before it rained. The temp is mid 80's but after the rain, it is muggy out.

Still plugging away. Off to clean the main upstairs bathroom..................

Some pop ups are getting through but at least I can post a bit from the p/c now. Trying this latest up date out. What a relief that it's worked so far. Too many squirrels in our yard asking dson for help. I told him if he cleaned them I'd cook ...Elizabeth where is tail of the dragon?

Nancy, The Tail of the Dragon is near Sweetwater, TN. My dh and 9 friends went there and rode it on Monday. Dh says that it is quite the attraction for motorcyclists. Cowinkie, mentioned here that she had rode it as a passenger on a cycle, several times, years ago.

Both upstairs bathrooms are done. Now onto our bedroom. I didn't mention the absolute mess that I made of the living room, when I drug things out of the Raggedy Ann room that need new homes. A lot of it is various Raggedy Ann items to be hung, mainly pictures. When I get to the living room, I will put them back in the Raggedy Ann room on the floor or leaning on something. If dsisil does come tomorrow, I will move them back to the living room but I want them hung soon. I make the biggest mess when I deep clean a room, but when I am done, it is always worth it.

Hi everyone! The maids were coming in as I was leaving. I should have a nice clean house when I get home, which will be late because of the animal org meeting tonight. The meeting minutes and notes are done and sent. All meeting materials have been printed out. Today, I am having malware grief on my computer. I was working on it yesterday also and it gave me a migraine. I just took Tylenol today before even attempting to fix it.

Yesterday was rather rainy her in the ABQ area. Last night, for Girls' Night Out, DD11 wanted to eat, then go to the park. She got so wet and muddy, I had to put her straight in the tub and her clothes straight into the laundry. After that, we did some reading AND she wrote her own thank you note! This is quite an achievement for a child with dyslexia.

Two days ago 9/9, I remembered my Dad's birthday and called. It was also the 2nd anniversary of my divorce. Really stinks that the dates are the same. Now a happy day has a horrible connection.

Today, I need to write up some information about the foster kittens for posters for next weekend's adoption event. I think Levity has learned to open cabinets. Not surprising, because dFosterCat4 taught two of the adult cats to open cabinets and closets, why wouldn't she share the fun with the kittens?

lucylee: In answer to your question of two days ago: DD does not have to wear a boot and her toe is healing nicely.

Dh has already called and he had bought a Dragon Tail tshirt. He says according to it, it is 11 miles and 318 curves.

Dh and the others went down to the beach this morning. This afternoon the other 6 went back to swim. Dh lived close to the Pacific Ocean for 4 years when they lived in Oregon. So he has swam in salt water and didn't want to do it again. So that gave him some hours of solitude to do what he wanted. Of course, he found a Harley shop.

I had brought in my flag before my last post. When I went upstairs it was pouring, which makes it evident how badly we need guttering.

This afternoon's temperature was down 10 degrees from yesterday's 99, but the humidity remained high so running errands still needed the a/c on in the car.

Rather than sit home watching 9/11 reports, I did some volunteer community service.

Finally was able to deliver the sewing group's box of donations to the community shelter that requested little tote bags for preschoolers, cot pillows for toddlers, and fleece baby buntings. They were happy with the fabric choices. (I can't take credit for any of the sewing this time, I just collected the items for delivery.)

[editing to add I remembered that I did sew some of the little tote bags in the delivery, but not many]

Then I went to a meeting about the Quilts of Valor sew-in we're going to do next month. Took a look at the room we'll be using and confirmed that it has plenty of space for us to set up our sewing machines.

I think both meetings were time very well spent and made me feel good about our sewing group.

Other errands fit in around those meetings to try to use the best route to save time and gas.

I have cooked a quick supper. After I eat, I'll gather the trash and recycling to carry those bins out to the curb. Then I will consider myself off duty and will choose a program on the dvr to watch.
