:D New fridge is installed. Since they don't need to charge us $20 for taking away the fridge our Dson took, we'll get that in trade, or refund, because there's some spray cleaner for stainless steel they recommend and carry. So DH will get some, when he settles the $20 refund. :)

Been slowly putting fridge stuff back into new fridge. DH is beat, just showered, I worked on a story and will sort/do laundry next.

Hoping Everybody is having a Smart Weekend Saturday! :!: :D

Waving to everybody. Must get back to work on another story. :)

Good afternoon! I'm not sure whether I'm physically ill today or just worn out tired or have the donwannas. Yesterday was busy busy then home with dd at five p.m. and back out to services last night. This morning I finally got past my writers block and got something onto paper to say this morning at services. I'm feeling pretty burned out with temple right now and it's hard to say positive things in a big big way.

I came home after the morning service, which ended at noon and made kugel and took a 1.5 hour nap while it baked up. I slept like a rock, and could probably sleep more. I felt so bad this morning that I ate two slices of toast, and dd made me two scrambled eggs earlier while I was getting the water hot for cooking noodles; not fasting this year.

I need to be back at temple by 5 p.m. for the concluding service and to get my kugel there for the break the fast.

Dh called me yesterday while I was on the road getting dd with a request - the federation needed a host family for an Israeli educator because the original family had had to back out, so I think we are doing it. It's only for a week with the educator arriving Monday afternoon. Most of her time is scheduled, so it is primarily a matter of getting her there in the a.m. and picking up for the evening. I'm feeling conflicted I think because I was so looking forward to YK being over and life getting back to "normal" what ever it is. Assuming we are doing this, we need to do some real work on dd's room before she goes back tomorrow.

I guess I need to get dressed to head back to temple. Supposed to be the holiest day of the year and I feel like I could just lie down and cry and sleep. What is wrong with me today?? And my tummy is weird too.

My smart weekend is getting the yd.work done while it was cool out. Getting the rest of the ingredients that I needed to make up some pumpkin bread. Also getting a new bs monitor so I'm able to keep tabs on that. Hav7ng a plan for dinner and making enough for
planned leftovers. Having deviled eggs on hand for lunch. Waiting to watch a show so I got enough rest.

((Twins' Mom)) You and dh have offered hospitality to someone in need of it. That will be a meaningful memory of what you did on this day.

One of my smart moves today was to get the produce and nuts/seeds shopping out of the way at the healthy foods store. Found a great variety. Also picked up 2 outlet covers to replace broken ones at the home improvement store. Had intended to buy the requested clothesline for engineering teacher, but they didn't have any. Neither did Tar-jay, which we tried next. Hmmm... ...

Her engineering class is all aflutter because the school got a grant for a new 3-D printer and it arrived yesterday, very impressive.

(((Twins))) I hope you feel better soon and could look forward to this chance to show hospitality.

Harriet: excited about the 3D printer. Tell dd we expect pictures of the class projects!

I got one accounting job out of the way and have worked a bit on paperwork.

I dropped dh at the airport, went to the bank, discovered I had left the cheques at home so paid one bill, had lunch, went home and got the cheques and then back to the bank to do the deposit and pay another bill.

Stopped by a store that sells frozen entrees and bought 5 so my meals are covered for this week (I'll make ds cook for me at least one night.)

Came home, got a call from someone looking to pick up some of my preaching books and got those ready, then brought in the laundry.

Finally settled down and finished the sermon. Still have prayers to do but they will come more easily than the sermon.

Ds is awake and heading out in a while so I'll cook my own dinner now. I have to watch about 8 episodes of the Canadian Amazing Race between now and Monday night's finale.

Tonight I also have to draw up a to-do list for next week. Dh is away so my time is almost all my own. No meetings (this past week was meeting-heavy.) Ds is off so I think I'll make him draw up a list as well.

:D Good Later Afternoon, Villagers! :D

That 3D thing sounds way too cool! :P

Been doing laundry, have some more to wash/dry, DH is watching football, I'm doing short stories. 2 down, 1 to go.

I put magnet items on the side of the fridge. When I put up the mirror with yellow ink quote on it with a daffodil, which said, "A sister is a lifelong friend," I could "feel" me about to LOSE IT! My dsis left Oregon late the 12th for Utah, to live. She gave me that magnet. Also, fortunately, an on-line friend once took a photo of my head and with software, she somehow put my head on a cowgirl's body complete with the cowgirl hat and boots. The face looks like mine, but the BODY is identical to Dsis's body! :!:  So I put the magnet of me/Dsis, next to the lifelong friend/sisters magnet. I can humorously look at them now, without tearing up. They make me smile now. ;)

A neighbor came over to give us some jam he'd made from wild blackberries in our woods. We let him pick, but he usually brings a quart-size frozen labeled bag of them. This year the crop was terrible due to weather. It was so nice chatting with him. He has full-time work as a handyman, doing electric, plumbing, and working on houses themselves. He remarked how a lot of his clients are dying off, which happens as we all age, unfortunately, but we can't live forever or it'd be a very crowded planet.

DD mailed me 2 books, which was a total surprise! :o I didn't expect them, but one's by Depok Chopra and one other one's a self-help book about confidence and self-esteem. It looks like a page-turner. ;) I was so glad to get it. Got 2 letters from 1 gal, a magazine and junk.

I need to fill out the info for our warranty and the power company's rebate because we have an energy efficient fridge now. It smells new, the drawers go in and out with such ease, the doors close quietly, almost as if they're whispering to you, "I'm new! I'm clean! Enjoy me!" :) Don't worry. The writer in my is showing, is all.

I need to run and stretch. Writing in the office chair is challenging at times, if I do too much. I'm using my timer at 45 min., but am going to set it at 20 minutes now that I've gotten so much done. Would absolutely LOVE to get my work done BY Monday a.m. so I can be a "NORMAL" person next week to write letters, read, crochet, do yoga and just be a regular person. One priority I must make is to visit a dfriend who's health is failing. I don't want to procrastinate until it's too late.

Have a great evening, Everybody! Waving hello to you All! :D

Service is finally finished.

I took time out for dinner and two watch two episodes of Amazing Race Canada. I also took time to read some of the reaction to those episodes on the fan websites. The show is very good, as good as any of the regular Amazing Race shows and I'm not the only one thinking so. I have three more episodes to watch before the finale on Monday night.

Now I'm off to bed. Will do a round of physio before lights out so I won't be to bed early but at least not too late.

Back from the ER where CT scan shows HRH is passing a kidney stone. Lots of gratitude that it seems to be leaving, albeit slowly, on its own, and that at least because we went there we have proof on the scan that there are no others. He has a pain prescription. Also grateful for a Wendy's open late, because I was almost sick from hunger by the time we got out of there! ER dr was very informative about helps to avoid stones - I think moreso than the urologist had been several years back.
