Did call health insurance co. as soon as I dropped dh for cardiac rehab! Asked for my phone/address and of course they didn't 'match' their records. Address was right but they had somehow put in our old house number which we lost at least 3 years ago. Asked her where this info had come from -especially since they used our post office box address & not the street address here. Said it sometimes comes from medicare??????? She supposedly corrected things & I am to good to go -so why do I still feel unsettled about it all? Explained that we spend the winter in FL and are in a private campground May-Nov. Told her we have kept this physical permanent address for them, but that mail to here is discouraged. But there are things one needs to have a physical address for. So hopefully all is settled -I'll know a week from Friday when I have a Dr. appointment myself.

Now dh's -think things went well. Dr. gave him a 'back to light duty' note. Did note that he now hears blood/fluid in the bottom of his right lung -still fluid in bottom of left lung. But his ankles were good. Told us exactly what to do if we notice fluid gain all of a sudden. He has to stay on his Lasix for the forseeable future. Cancelled his appointment the end of October, but he does need blood work before leaving for FL. I don't think dh will overdo as he realizes (and so does his boss) that he has his limits. He'll continue rehab for a few weeks yet. It will be exactly 16 weeks since his heart surgery when he returns to work. There are quite a few things he wants to accomplish here before we leave and some things that really need someone (knowledgeable) to be doing.

Think there's about 16 campers that have left now. During the next week or so that will probably grow by a lot.

Beautiful out today but cool. Supposed to slowly warm up this week and be in low 70's by the weekend.

Thursday our ddil (DS-R) receives quite a prestigious award at a special luncheon. So proud of her and know how deserving she is. They're pulling dgs8 out of school that day so he can witness this presentation.

Think (know) dh will be happy he can legitimately go back to work even with limitations. Can see his spirits lift already.

The blue and white speckled pan cleans up wonderfully
after being over the camp fire. So I will be looking for more of those h. Is already talking about our next camping trip. You can camp year round here! I HAVE AN IDEA. We have the grands for an over night next week!

It has been raining off and on all day today. Only one time was there any sunshine, but the temp is way down - only 79* here. I am hearing thunder in the distance. I'm sure Harmony has been getting rain today also.

I've enjoyed reading your family stories Harriet and Cowinkie. My daunt (ddad's sister) and duncle had a dairy farm outside of Gettysburg (right next door to Ike and Mamie). The farmhouse had an older, original kitchen at the back of the house. It had an old kitchen sink with a water pump and a wood stove, which daunt only occasionally used. They also had a water pump outside the back door which they still used. My family used to spend two weeks every summer visiting them. My ddad would help duncle and dcousin with the farmwork while we were there. I vaguely remember one time helping daunt with the churning while she made butter. I also remember using the old hand cranked machine to take the corn kernels off the cobs.

It is a typical desk day Monday here. Took care of various things like balance ck book, go through a pile of odd papers and mail, caught up on filing.

I am impressed with how well Kathryn, and now Cowinkie, are handling preparations for moving! I think I should pay attention!

Dd15 somehow got me onto the individual info of the school's new grades/calendaring/schedule website. We've been trying to do this for weeks. I could access to the point of being welcomed by name, but no further. This system is called "powerschool" if anyone knows of it. I find it much more difficult to manage than the previous, simpler system, yet it doesn't do much more. I can't imagine how families who are not computer-savvy will handle it.

Errands to PO, bank, healthy grocery. At grocery, I was lucky enough to stop a knowledgeable stock person, who knew there was more of the almond flour I needed in the back of the store and got it for me immediately. So now I can make the small cake on the eating plan I'm following.

Annual registration came for the Explorer, so I changed out the info in the glovebox CD holder, with correct registration and insurance card for the next year. Btw, we really appreciate CD holders for this use - we can instantly put our hands on the reg/ins cards any time no matter how many other papers or items are in the way, and they are protected from moisture, can be seen through the plastic.

Oh, I love the farm stories. Thanks for those. Cowinkie, I can see why you thought so highly of him. Sunny, I've seen those machines!

Dee, that's wonderful for Mr. DeeClutter to get a new "designation" from the dr. I think I remember Indiana's saying "bummer" because dr told her to stay off Vitamin D at some point because of something about her cardio health - can't remember. I believe there was a medicine a dr didn't know the interaction with.

We've used powerschool for years here, Harriet. I don't see/use it for calendaring, though. Some teachers will post future assignments, I suppose. We mainly use it as a way to get grades. There are tests which teachers won't hand back, so this is where the grade can be found. Girls check it regularly. I try not to. . . . .

Took dd15 to her chair audition. It sounds like it went OK - not awful but not stupendous. Supper of leftovers was eaten and leftover leftovers were fed to grateful hens. Dh is off at his work dinner now. Before he left, he, dd17, and GG went to pick up the landscape painting dd17 made me for my bday. It is nicely framed and now hanging in the kitchen!! While they were gone, I took dd15 to drumline practice - and gassed the van en route home. I posted some things on fb, changing my cover photo and profile photo. Not sure I'm happy with the profile one, but it is different, at least.

I need to switch laundry and finish kitchen clean up. Then, I think I'll pop over to the gym. Maybe??

I'm starting to get in the habit of decluttering as I go. For instance to figure out how many miles on the tires, I had to go through old files that I had kept with the repair logs for the cars. That shows when the tires were bought, put on, taken off, etc. From that I could work out the number of miles on them. But once that was finished, since they are the last thing I would need the books for, I tossed everything into the garbage, except the original purchase agreement and the sales agreement if there was one (most of the time I trade the cars in so the sale is reflected in the next purchase agreement.) That compressed 4 files into one thin one. I'm keeping all records for the previous Prius and current car but the rest have gone.

No bites on the snow tires yet. We'll see, they may not sell at all. I'll be happy to have them gone so will relist as progressively lower prices (if I got $20 for 3 tires with just 20K miles on them, I'd be happy.)

I was polishing my silver jewelry while dh was cooking dinner and an earring got caught up with a chain as I pulled it from the strainer and fell down into the heating duct under the kitchen sink. Dh finally spotted it with a dental mirror & light but couldn't reach it. We tried a vacuum but that didn't work. He showed me where it was (I literally had to lie on his back so I could line my eyes up with his to see the mirror reflection) and then I managed to get it with my fingertips. That's a relief since it was an antique silver screw earring and the only silver earring set I have.

So that adventure is also done. I've cleaned up the kitchen and think I might go to bed and read. I have a library book due on Wednesday but might be able to finish it before we leave the city tomorrow.

I made blts bacon lettuce tomato sandwiches on a bun for dinner, we have not had it yet this summer.
The bread pudding did not have enough sugar h. Was the only one who would eat it. I made some fruit bread muffins too. Banana, apple sauce, and pumpkin in them h. Squirreled those away into the freezer for his lunches.

Hello, hello...

Got back from dmom's dr. appt around 2:00 -- spent about an hour on the phone w/various business matters -- which dh WAS planning to do, but when I came in, he was at the end of a one hour call w/ds and that had about used up all his phone tolerance, LOL.
THEN I went to the couch and stayed there until after 6:00 pm! LONG, MUCH-NEEDED nap.

If I had known what was coming later, I'd have pretended to be asleep a lot longer... I'm going to Members Only w/an SOS.

I need to re boot the dish washer and clear the counters and work on the dining room table too. Floor need attn. And trash still needs to be dumped. Taking a bit of a breather and rest break after dinner. I have enjoyed reading posts today.

As I started to get supper ready I had fixed our plates to heat in microwave and while that was heating I started to fix ddogs supper dishes. I discovered there was no dry good left. So after I ate I made a quick run to Publix and rushed through the store getting the dog food and a few other things I could think of. This should hold us for the rest of the week. I managed to get a lol done this afternoon also.

Dee... I'm glad for the good news for dh from dr. that he is able to go back to work. I hope you have the insurance straightened out.

Nancy... BLTs sound good - we haven't had them for a long time either.

Helia... dd17's picture is really pretty!

Harriet... use of a cd holder is a really neat idea for car registration and ins cards. I never would have thought of that!

Tomorrow will have to be errand day rainy day or not. Dh or I also have a couple of DPCs to make.
