Hello everyone. Sorry, Lucylee about the fine. They charge us around $100 for driving without a seat belt. We needed a new retracting unit and DH wasn't taking the 5 minutes each time to fuss with it till it clicked. That was a couple years ago. Remember when we all had radar detectors in our cars? They were helpful!
My dining room table is clear! Even the tablecloth is in the wash to get rid of the musty smell. I got everything organized, a chart on the inside of the chest lids, and all the receipts copied for one of the years we were building the other house. This all started when we had the plumbing problem at the other house, discovered the shower valve - in the wall - has a lifetime warranty, and it costs $100+. So I started looking for the original bill.
I copied all the receipts because they were fading to unreadable. Now they are separated into a file I keep in the office. One year is missing, I had shredded it before I realized we wouldn't be selling it, and still doing maintenance on it as a rental. It's the best I can do. I do have the amounts on an original ledger. This all happened before we had a computer, spreadsheets, a copier, etc. I keep better records now.
Wow, I can't believe how long that all took. Someday I'm going to have the hugest bonfire! You'll be able to see it into Canada!
Dee I hope your computer works well now.

Re: WARBLING WEDNESDAY
Home from a very long day at the big city. It started out shaky but ended up being a great day. The students and teachers ride the school bus with parents following behind. This morning there was about a dozen vehicles following the bus in caravan style for about 90 miles. Of those dozen vehicles, four of them now have owies from 2 separate accidents. Plus another mom had flat tire on the way and had to stop and get it fixed. Both accidents happened near me - one in the lane right next to me and the other accident was the 2 vehicles immediately in front of me. When those 2 vehicles hit, I had to slam on my brakes causing my car to slide sideways. I turned the wheel to steer toward the bar ditch which allowed me to miss the 2 vehicles that had hit each other directly ahead of me. The car behind me also locked up it's tires and went even further into the bar ditch than I did. Time seems to pass V-E-R-Y SLOWLY during the couple of seconds it takes to have an accident. I remember my car GPS systems announcing "This is unverified area, please return to route and proceed". Since no one was hurt, I find the GPS monologue being delivered as I slide into the bar ditch somewhat humorous. I am VERY thankfully everyone walked away from both accidents.
Time at the zoo was non-stop walking for about 4 hours going from one animal pen to another. LO had a great time with his classmates.
After we left the zoo we stopped big city western store. It was a waste of time. They only had about a dozen pairs of boots in LO size and all of them were too girly for him.
Cowinkie - The gorilla glue worked perfectly!

Wow! What a field trip, OKay. Now I know being field-trip-phobic was NOT unreasonable of me, LOL!!!
Sooo glad no one was hurt!!!
BIG WTG w/clearing the table, Harmony!!! Oh how I hope dmom can say that soon!
We have been to supper w/ds & dgs -- ddil is working tonight -- and ds & dh are now watching old football videos while I am watching dgs watch Sprout.
In the meantime I am talking to dmil on phone. Please see J&C.
I am trying to be wise, soothing, restrained, as Harriet assures me I can be.

Re: WARBLING WEDNESDAY
Quick CUOP here:
DH got up earlier than me to go work in the woods today, so this evening, after dinner, I s2s, when he ate his dinner. I'd already filled the DW, he added a few items to it, I was out of the shower, so he's running it.
I had more "fun"
writing a pal a L. L. because she told me the date her state became a state, so I looked up ours on the computer so I could tell her ours. Then, she's always telling me, "On this date...." stuff and "Did you know (so and so) died today?" I got to tell her about June Cleaver's actress Barbara Billingsly and I told my pal I never wear pumps and pearls while I do housework, does she???
We get a "kick" out of pulling each others' legs.
I rested, stretched, and walked today, did 1 load of laundry and made the bed. I put out hot spots, but not much else. Watched CNN and music channel a lot today. I did see a good movie, on Hallmark, this afternoon while DH was getting his hearing aids tuned up and replacing the inner ear parts.
We ended up having filtering sunshine, not full sun, but you take what you can get here. Now I'm getting ready to write DH a grocery list and a dfriend a letter to put inside a mailer about FM stuff and a good site for her to go to, too. She has FM, too.
I warbled in the shower, singing to my cat, who was in the bathroom with me, but she soon left. Was it my singing?
Have a great night, Everybody!

Re: WARBLING WEDNESDAY
Nice dinner at the pub. The special tonight was stew which was much healthier for me than the entrees I had been considering so I was glad I thought to ask.
The music was good. Very casual. The guys didn't have a play list and don't practice together but they are all professionals and the other two were backing up our friend so he'd just start and they'd join in. Once he had to stop because the drummer had a beat wrong but aside from that all the pieces sounded great. He has a wonderful voice and sounds great on the guitar. I've heard him play acoustic guitar before but tonight for the second set he had an electric guitar and that was fun.
We are home now and heading off to bed now. I have work in the morning, then an errand or two, lunch out and shopping for a new vacuum. If I can't get a deal at my local shop, I'll probably order one from the US and just wait until October 27th to vacuum (the earliest I can get back across the border.) Actually, I have ds's vacuum and my electric broom so it isn't as if the house won't get vacuumed at all.
