Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
Congrats, Cowinkie!
I've got 7 more newsletters to write and then I'll move onto the cards. I have 30 of those to do, I think, possibly more when I include all the ones with invitations to the Boxing Day Party. First to do will be the ones that aren't in this city. I'm up against (or past) the mailing deadline for out of province and perhaps even this province.

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
Thanks Kathryn... It feels good.
I have half of my Xmas cards done. I have decided to give myself the rest of the afternoon off...I can finish the rest in the morning.
I am working on Wed for a friend and am looking forward to it. My son won't be arriving until 1:30 am Monday morning. Good thing I love to drive late at night. The other benefit is the airport wont be a zoo at that time. That's a plus as well. Will use Sunday to make my cheese cake. Guess I will do my grocery shopping this Thur. unless a friend needs me to sub for that day. I won't mind cause its an easy day. Usually the teachers are giving exams'
Off to do some reading...I have a book calling my name, and a cup of coffee to go with it.

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
Ooh, Congratulations Cowinkie!
I am making progress but still have much left to do. I keep thinking I could get more done if life didn't keep interfering, like if I lived in an isolated bubble with nobody else's schedules or activities or issues to get in the way.
I am completely done with gifts for:
- california friends; pkg. in the mail Friday
- ddad and dbro.
I need to get one more thing for dniece. I'll have to brave Toys R Us for that one.
(She loves baby dolls!) One more thing for dmom. One more thing for friends E and C in TX. I won't mail their package b/c we're planning on seeing them after Cmas when they travel to Ohio to visit his mom.
Then, I need to work on dh and kids. I have ideas for most of them. And then S and R (got one gift so far) and baby J (got one small gift so far).
We will start Sinter Klaas shoe gifts on Wed. Just about 18 days late, but this was the time that worked for us. We'll celebrate SK on the 23rd.
Successful 3 errands:
- picked up Hebrew chapters
- returned video
- picked up 2 memory cards at CVS, near the redbox return. The clerk gave me the price for someone with their store's card, even though I don't have their store's card. Sure makes me want to shop there again!
I'm going to check on laundry, finish the a.m. routine, finally write out those checks, and then start dinner. We need to eat at 6 pm or even earlier. I don't know if dh will be home by then or not, but we'll need to start.

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
I've just mailed 36 Christmas cards and newsletters. And bought another 36 stamps so I can finish up the rest of the cards tomorrow. I need to create a new invitation to our Boxing Day party because our usual one includes the names of the kids and they won't be home this year.
Next challenge is to start tidying up the living room (and the rest of the main floor.) I have visitors tomorrow morning and would like the house to look way better than it does now. Washing floors may not get done but vacuuming and dusting needs to be done for sure.

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
I had a pretty successful day! I had a 1.5 hour lunch w dfriend who is social worker primarily with the elderly. She knows so much - she was the person who told me to not let the hospital discharge my dsis because legally they could not do so if she needed assistance and there was no one who could take care of her. I need to do some info gathering for dmom - after the first of the year she will also start a meals program from the JCC to receive three cooked meals a week. I will do delivery on those for now. Also some discussion of dsis and how I can work with the staff at her nursing home. Some aggravations and things not being taken care of right now there.
After lunch I picked up my new glasses (love them!) and shopped a bit. Bought three tops and a blinged out necklace. Two of the tops can be worn with basic black pants for dressy parties, and I think one will work with the blingy necklace for the cocktail party next Sat night. I'm just not going to wear a cocktail dress and heels! Dh's office Christmas party is on Thursday p.m. and I don't know the dress code but it's usually not dressed up. The third top will dress up jeans a bit for other events. All were 40% off, then I got an additional 15% birthday month discount.
I stopped at Honda service dept to have them check seat belts as one in the back seat hasn't been operational. Figured out that the end to that belt was stuck behind the seat, and we've been trying to attach it to the wrong female end. So I can take a load in my car now, i.e. dnephew and family to visit dsis if they want to go.
I went to Petsmart and bought a new leash for Moe - his stopped retracting and with the two of them I like the retractable leashes. I also picked up some collars for the pet shelter that dMac's physical therapist is collecting items for. Walked through Best buy for chargers for iPad air and iPhone to keep in the car for when I need them out of the house. The night dmom went to the ER, my phone battery went down and I was stuck w/o being able to communicate with dh or look up her meds on my phone in Evernote. And last, I drove the car through a car wash and at least got the outside clean.

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
Tomorrow I have TMJ dental appt at 8:30 and appt with dkids at noon with the psychiatrist who writes meds for ds' ADD and follows dd. In between and around I need to deal with some temple stuff and desk day here. On Wed I need to get ready for temple bd meeting on Wed p.m.
So I can sleep tonight, I need to corral OMMs and get them into a list for follow up. My mind is pinging away with "need to do this" and "need to do that."
I've ordered a pizza for me and dkids. Having them home guarantees I don't eat all of it myself.
Dh is bowling tonight.
Now:
-update to-dos
-take care of 10 pieces of paper in my never ending stack of stuff
-take out kitchen garbage
-clear kitchen table

Re: MARCHING ONWARD MONDAY
congrats d cowinkie
finished decorating the tree, went through lights that did not work and putting them into recycling. Kept a bunch of light bulbs from those broken strands for future use.
now to make a real dinner - first time in 3 weeks
