Happy B-Day ❤️🥰

Sweetie surprised me with beautiful roses! What a guy.

I accomplish all I needed to do yesterday.

Been to class and coffee and now home eating my lunch. Sweetie and I have earns to run:

Pool store
Kohls for returns
WM grocery store
Walgreens

We never eat out on V-Day. Too busy for us. It’s pizza for Sweetie tonight and something easy for me to eat.

Waving to y’all… see ya later

Today I am listening to my weekly podcasts.
- I love listening to Radio 4's podcast called Ramblings.
I love that England has walking paths through all the villages and that walkers and walker clubs ramble through the countryside. They even have small inns along the paths - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_i ... ed_Kingdom

I also love listening to Gardening with the RHS

Do you all have podcasts that you enjoy? I would love to hear!

Hiya, gals!
My goodness, I ate well virtually at our Galentine's Buffet!

I got a lovely card in the mail.

Because groceries were ordered, HRH sneakily snuck grocery flowers onto our order after I thought it was complete last evening. Then he didn't call to me when grocerties were delivered, so by the time I got to him to help with put-away, the flowers were already on the coffee table. They are pretty, but what sold him on them was that the vase is graceful.

Mystery, that was me about dishes and HRH, and lucylee says that she herself does it. But lucylee probably has less dishes than you unless grands are visiting her, and she has a dishwasher when she wants it. In fairness, HRH would probably say there's no room on the counter beside the sink, and he would have a point. Plus, that is where our most accessible outlet is.

My tadas are modest but good.
1) I made my own brunch of tofu scramble in order to use the newly arrived produce in our newly spiffy fridge drawers. HRH gets a lot of credit for that spif, too. Drawers dried overnight upside-down.
2) I have a laundry load of my own clothes in. They will drip-dry. Another small one ready next. It just goers through dryer.
3) Finished my part of taxes and have it in a folder. Called tax lady and left message - we will make a drop-off time next week.

Here's a new one. Maybe strangest item brought by mistake (?) by grocery shopper. I had ordered kale and got Dandelion greens. I didn't even know the store had (ever) carried Dandelion. Doesn't look like anything in my yard. Dark green big, big round leaves. If I get ambitious, I'll put into a smoothie. Or maybe cook down with collards. HRH says make tea, lol, but adds he won't be drinking any.

LOL on dandelion greens, Harriet! One reason I'm making the veggie lasagne w butternut squash is that a shopper substituted a massive butternut squash for an acorn squash recently, when I specifically ask for the smallest acorn squash possible. Anyway, this recipe is a good chance to chip away at it. I'm also using the Mexican shredded cheese mix (received in error) in lieu of the mozzarella cheese in the recipe. I think it will be fine - it has no extra spices, and it's cheddar, mozzarella, queso cheese and something else.

Long trip to store - lots of bodies there, including men buying flowers. Dh called and was heading to Costco, so I'm imagining he's planning to pick up flowers there. I have a card made for him, but I'm thinking of working on another that I might like better...

I need to unstick my bottom from this chair. Needing the BGS. After I've left the house and done errands, it's hard to get going again.

Hooray -- I am s2s, walked 18 minutes, did Bible and devotional reading, talked to DS,
AND I PUPA in master bath for 15 minute
I added "15 minute productive activity" to my morning card.
I know it's 2:30 right now, but seeing that I was barely out of bed at this time yesterday, I'm going to call it a win. ;)

Y'all might not consider this actually very productive, because Pam and Peggy would say I was just moving clutter around and trying to organize clutter, but the bathroom counter is making me kinda claustrophobic. Remember, my bathroom vanity is also my "office," of sorts -- that is where I keep my card file and my planner, and my Bible. So it IS a very crowded space. But lately, I have accumulated a bunch of books and papers, printouts from organizing sites, etc, and it was all just getting overwhelming.
I took all that extra stuff to the nightstand area of my bedroom -- which is also kind of overwhelming. (If y'all are LOL now, I understand. I'm kinda laughing at myself too.)
The nightstand and floor around it are ridiculous too... sooo many books, books to be read, books I have read, books that are inspirational and might help me in my current state of mind... AND magazines... sooo many magazines.

But I am working on all this area AND the bathroom area.

I needed to vacuum, but then I decided that vacuuming where dgrands' will be dropping crumbs all weekend is kinda silly. I took the vacuum cleaner to the bathroom and it is my hope that I will get it vacuumed this weekend.

Where do y'all keep your planners and cards and all this STUFF???

I'm sorry I haven't cuop but I wanted y'all to know I'm trying over here...

PS -- I also started the dishwasher -- as Harriet mentioned, I don't have a lot of dishes except when dgrands are here. And I have been using paper plates a lot, but I realize the other day that this is very wasteful, and I should be using the dishwasher more. I mean, as few dishes as I have, it's not going to take 5 minutes to unload.
Tomorrow is another day.

I load the dishwasher as I dirty a dish so there's rarely anything of mine in the sink. Dh seems to believe that things somehow "jump into the dishwasher" so he just sit dishes and such either by the sink or in the sink. No standing water, thank goodness. We probably only run the dishwasher every four days or so, but I run a short rinse cycle in between. Not daily, but when I think I might need it.

I walked ddog two laps - caught up with dfriend M for second lap. We were talking about kids in the neighborhood. I found a Sprite can by the playground and she found a plastic bottle on the next lap. We have an almost blind turn as one enters the subdivision and she came upon a little girl crossing the street there alone the other day! I suggested she email the president of the HOA about it. At one time we voted on adding some speed bumps (including right there) and it was voted down. But there are two homes just at the entrance with little kids and they seem to be out a lot crossing to the playground.

So I have nearly 7K steps and will make goal today - at least 8328 steps. I need that both today and tomorrow to meet goal, so we'll see.

Dh is going to a boat show tomorrow with friend A, who now needs to buy a new boat lift because he just bought a new boat. (They are the ones with the condo on the river - HOA there has a dock and A and V have two slips.) So I'll have some free time in the afternoon but I'm also going to go ahead and at least make the tomato sauce for the lasaagne - it's butternut squash cooked up with canned tomatoes and spices.

I went upstairs and made a new Valentine card for dh. I think I like this one, of the three, best. I just couldn't get into it - have never made many Valentines card although I sent one to dd earlier in the week too.

There's nothing on the calendar, which is nice. This week has had two workouts, a therapy appt, a body work appointment, the "consult" on the computer, and Zoom meeting. And dinner out once and a show.

I'm glad your snow is melting, Nancy. I'm over being cold, but we get a return to colder temps this coming week and possible snow showers.

Lucylee, sometimes it just gets worse before it gets better. The purged items from one area get put somewhere else and are clutter there. Can you purge some as you go? File some of the printed articles in a file folder or notebook? Do you need to keep all the magazines? (Did you know there's a place that has ALL the magazines, all by date? The library, of course.) And could some books either go to a bookcase or be donated? (I drop off books at my library, where Friends of the Library does a sale several times a year.) Just little things, whittling away? Proud of you for being up and productive, too!

So sorry your mom was restless last night and you were shorted on sleep, bw2. Hoping for a better day and a restful night for both of you.

Yes, Rose, too hard to eat out on Valentines unless on plans far ahead. I hope the errand run went well.

Great to see you checking in Mystery. I keep forgetting this is another "Long" weekend. Didn't we just have one? I hope the testing isn't stressful on Monday.

End of review, and I need to start on our supper. It's Lemon garlic swordfish, roasted broccoli with parm, and quinoa, which reputedly has a low glycemic index. Dh just needs a small serving.
