Yes, I may turn entirely nocturnal... sigh. I had a fairly long nap, interrupted once by dmom's phone call and once by ds' phone call.
Dmom called to say her birthday present had arrived in the mail and she really likes everything... but the shoes are MEN'S size 8.5!!!
We just LOL about that. I know I THOUGHT I was ordering a women's size. Good grief. Luckily, they are from Belk, and we can go by there at her next doctor's appointment and exchange them.
DS called to say both kids had good ball practices; today was dgs' first practice of the year.
Looks like stormy weather tomorrow. Won't it be just my luck to have a bunch of shingles blow off the roof and create a new problem here? Nah-- I don't think that will happen. The roof itself has held up pretty well, except at this spot where this dormer is, and where the fireplace is. (The second dormer has had zero problems.)
The carpenter says I will need a new roof in a few years -- he thinks I can certainly get another couple years, maybe even five years, out of this one.
Have any of you seen these ads for the stuff they spray on the roof that is supposed to revitalize it for maybe up to ten years? The carpenter here is skeptical of this, but I wonder how much they charge and how well that stuff works.
Once again, I forgot about cleaning my heat/ac filters until it was dark -- and kinda chilly around here tonight.
Harriet -- are the wildfires any concern in your area? I was seeing that on the news just now. Also -- (((BIG HUGS))) and prayers for the upcoming appointments.
Twins' -- I'm so glad your workouts have such an emotional as well as physical effect! You are inspiring me to keep up my March "resolution" to walk every day, even if it is only 5 minutes.
I have rails at my steps, although only on one side at the back, and dmom wishes I had them on both sides. The ones in the front need replacing, but they are still standing upright, so that is NOT on this episode of Home Improvement.
Waving to blessed and cathy -- hope all is well.
