Kitty, I actually did like poetry as a small child. I didn't enjoy studying it at my high school. I think the school's English curriculum was ambitious, I was young - summer bd + skipped a grade (but so had most of my classmates by the school's design), and I was also immature, imho. I was also more of a math and science kid in high school and English was my least favorite subject. . .until my Sr. year (age 16) when something clicked in my brain, although I was always a big reader.
kitkat, I do that too, get sidetracked by the small tasks. Sometimes I never get back to the large task I need to do. If I can write those small tasks on my list, it goes better for me.
trissie, you're lucky to have a classmate who is a theater director! Sounds like a fun evening. You've got to do that once in a while.
You're here so you must have a magic touch with the internet, Doggedly.
Lauralind, I hope you can get a sample easily from Casper and that he is on the mend. You're amazing being able to fix your crochet project.
L Ann, WTG on your morning walk.
We got to the bnb around 9 pm last night (10 pm our body time) after stopping by a fav restaurant for dinner, very nostalgic! It's a very nice bnb - open and spacious, nicely decorated, and with lots of large windows. Dh and I are currently sitting in a nook that has two walls of floor to ceiling windows. We could see the lights of the city through the windows last night. Even better -- there are 3 coffee shops within a 10 minute walk, and we're half a mile from a very large WF and a mile from the walking path along the lake (Colorado River). Downside: the welcome book with wifi info that the rental company promised us is not here so we don't have access to the home's wifi.
It is 75F and forecast to get up to 84F. It's going to be a gray day but rain is not really expected today. I think I'll need to shave my legs
I went to WF first thing this morning so we could have coffee and dh could have his morning yogurt. We're not big breakfast eaters.
